Dislike the hard errata but honestly, I don't see them fixing it any other way. All other methods required some rule exception as the title slot for this ship had already been used.

+1 Hull and sec weapon slot for 2 pts makes this ship much more viable now - while cannons remain the best sec. weapons, missiles/torpedos with guidance chips are also a possibility and utility sec weapons might be usuable (eg tractor beam, tacking missile, seismic torp). I've not played in a while - gotta see if I can find something fun!

Rogue Squadron or Rogue Group is basically all the pilots at Hoth during the combined defense & evacation of Hoth. This includes the guys who flew the snow speeders and their gunners, and the pilots who flew escort to the escaping frieghters (the ones who survived the snowspeeder battle escorted the last ships out of Hoth). Legends books basically build off this particular group into a the famous EU formation. (The other Group or Squadron of the Rebel Alliance was Renegade Squadron - got wiped out.) The new canon may rewrite that somewhat.

Why not  a mix - E-Wing and Y-Wing unique pilots - and an astromech upgrade that has some kind of funky effect when discarded.

Also - the aces packs aren't just about fixing stuff - sometimes they just add new pilots - eg B-Wing in the original Rebel Aces certianly didn't need nor did they get a fix, they just got variant that existed in the lore already.

FFG isn't publishing only canon material - their entire game line is Legends from RPGs, to card games, to board games to mini games like X-Wing - I suspect their license is for Legends (actually I'm pretty sure - but I've not seen like signed documents so its still only a hunch ). The E-Wing is almost certainly going to see an update sooner or later (its just a matter of when) - it's just not as broken as the TIE Defender, Bomber or Punisher were prior to wave 8 and Imp Vets, as at least 1 pilot sees regular play.

This ship, if it does appear in X-Wing, is going to be big and fast - its slightly bigger than the Jumpmaster but not as large as say the YT-1300. It's also a pure combat vehicle unlike every large ship beside the Decimator. The Decimator is good comparison - it has good forward firepower from primary weapons, a turret, and a proper bomb bay. It should be able to carry astromechs and crew maybe both at the same time. The Havoc in particular is very cutting edge so the tile may grant the systems slot. I'd say we will see Nym, Jinkins and Kole as unique pilots plus 1 non unique pilot.

I believe this will be a lighter but more nimble version of the Decimator & Ghost Attack is likely 3, with agility 1 or higher, but with less combined hull and shields.

    Well as it stands:

E-Wing: This is the only rebel ship that needs help - Other than Horn this seldom gets played - most likely ship to be included.

X-Wing: This ship needs it's fix more widely distributed. Could possibly use a small boost.

Attack Shuttle: This is a good ship to include seperate from the Ghost with some non-unique pilots, so that ppl who want to play more than 1 can get it tru a seperate channel. However, since the Ghost is so new, unless Rebel Vets is only coming out next year, this seems unlikely.

YT-1300, T-70 X-Wing: The TFA movie had a bunch of new pilots (and crew) although I don't think an expansion with these guys will come out this year. Late next year as a run up to episode VIII seems more logical from a marketing stance.

HWK-290, Y-Wing, Z-95 Headhunter: Older ships which could use an update (they could use new pilots) - all of them work fine now. Without knowing more about Rogue One, we can't omit the fact that it is possible that for these to appear in the movie with a movie tie in. Also as they are all shared with Scum, these could be included in a Most Wanted II style box with more pilots for both factions (Rebels are also on the Wanted list by Imperials after all).

I'm expecting the Vaksai more as an upgrade (title) of the Kihraxz (with a repaint - coming in an Aces or Huge Ship) rather than a new ship class - because that is what it is in the lore.

This is correct - But Corran does see play (1 out of 4 pilots is a regular component of many competitive squads) unlike the TIE Defender (I think there were 1 or 2 in worlds - none in a highly placed squad) and Bomber (there were 0 in worlds - same for Punisher). The Rebel Aces was only released after Imperial Aces was released - FFG may want to wait and see how wave 8 affects the competitive meta for rebels before releasing Rebel Veterans.

Not many people know, but those discount websites are actually run by distribution companies. Before Asmodee allowed direct purchasing for stores, they could only buy from them. So not only were lgs forced to biy from a competitor, but their collective orders were what allowed the distributors to get such a low margin and sell online so cheap.
Before Asmodee the system was set up to really work against the lgs.

Personally I feel the HWK-290, Y-Wing and Z-95 Headhunter would best be served in a "Most Wanted II" set with one of each of the ships and pilots for both Rebel and Scum.

The HWK-290 while a canon ship has no few known canon pilots - it appears in the Disney game Star Wars: Commander (SW:C) if you join the Rebel Alliance. I personally don't feel this ship needs a "fix" - it is effective in it's current design to point cost - changing it to fit the Legends fluff would result in an increase in it's points.

HWK-290 in White & Red alt paint scheme (as it canonnically appears in SW:C)
Rebel Pilots: Rebel Operative (reprint), Rebel Privateer (PS 3 with EPT), •Palob Godalhi (PS 5 with new rebel ability), •Gamut Key [Quite honestly I couldn't find any other named Rebel pilots for this ship and the mecenary gang in SW:C does not conannically side with the Rebel Alliance.]
Scum Pilots: Spice Runner, Hutt Cartel Thug, •Roark Garnet, •IG-72 [Again problems finding named pilots who flew this ship]
"Fixes": A way to upgrade Primary weapon attack value to 2 (the stock ship is unarmed but the Crow has twice as many guns as a TIE Fighter); a maneuverability boost - possibly taking the turret slot - cannot be taken with the Mold Crow title (since the Crow does have a blaster turret in lore); a turret slot upgrade that allows the HWK to take Bombs (in SW:C it is used as a carpet bomber)

The Y-Wing really doesn't need a "fix" but could use diversity. There are quite a few Canon Rebel Y-Wing squadrons & pilots (that have not been used) as well as Legends Scum squadrons & pilots (that have not been used).

Y-Wing in White & Blue alt paint scheme (seen this on a toy somewhere - its different enough from the yellow and dark red ones that currently exist.)
Rebel Squadrons: Amber Wing Pilot, Cobalt Squadron Pilot, Feral Group Pilot
Rebel Pilots: •Davish "Pops" Krail, •Dex Tiree, •Ekelarc Yong, •Norra Wexley
Scum Squadrons: Sisar Terminal Enforcer, Shadow Wing Pirate, Crimson Jack Pirate
    Scum Pilots: •Welinarro, •Jolli, •Yith Ganar, •Madd Markos
"Fixes": BTL-S3 Courier variant - replace secondary weapons for crew slot(s).

The Z-95 also doesn't need a "fix" but could use diversity. There are pretty much no few Canon Z-95 squadrons & pilots - all are Legends.

Z-95 in White & Orange stripes alt paint scheme (as it canonnically appears in SW:C)
Rebel Squadrons: Azul Squadron, Hunter Squadron, Sundancer Squadron
    Rebel Pilots: •Ace Azzameen, •Asyr Sei'lar, •Erisi Dlarit, •Pash Cracken, •Ranna Gorjaye, •Rhysati Ynr Canon: •Poe Dameron, •Iolo Arana, •Karé Kun
Scum Squadrons: Nebula Raiders Pirate, Wheel Security Pilot, Organization Smuggler
    Scum Pilots: •Ssurussk, •Arraxx, •Len Markus, •Likk Nibk, •Wezd “Tank” Koupa
"Fixes": Upgrade to add an Ion Cannon to the Z-95 (this is a weapon it carries in the new Canon).

This is correct - however there were quite a few extremely underwhelming ships released in the past.

Wave 1: X-Wing and TIE Advanced - may have been balanced back then (I wasn't playing - can't say) - but power creep simply overtook them, Y-Wing is difficult to use due to the high cost/performance ratio of missiles/torpedoes & turrets.
Wave 2: A-Wing and TIE Interceptor - first 2 ships to get "fixed"
Wave 3: HWK-290 is implemented strangely in the game - however it's price and upgrades made it viable tru later crew and turret upgrades, B-Wing begins to push the X-Wing out of viability. TIE Bomber is difficult to use due to the high cost/performance ratio of missiles/torpedoes.
Rebel Huge Ships, Imerial Aces: TIE Interceptor gets "fixed", more X-Wings
Wave 4: TIE Defender and E-Wing both overcosted - TIE Phantom insanely powerful (nerfed), Z-95 completely pushes the X-Wing out of viability.
    Rebel Aces: A-Wing gets "fixed"
Wave 6: M-3A Scyk and StarViper both overcosted and strangely implemented - Aggressor is the first Agility 3 ship published since the TIE Fighter that is just about right. Most Wanted attempts to "fix" Y-Wings.
Imperial Raider: TIE Advanced gets "fixed"
Wave 7: Turret upgrades get a boost. Missiles/Torpedoes get a boost. Bombs get a boost. Kihraxz is strangely implemented - but viable. Low attack/agility, high defense squadrons begin to shift out of the meta due to TLT.
Imperial Assault Carrier: More TIE Fighters.
Now: Wave 8: More Turret and Missiles/Torpedoes boosts. X-Wing "fix" poorly distributed. Reserving comments about the new ships until I get more playtime. TLT is overwhelmed by Wolfpack.
Soon: Imperial Veterans: TIE Defender "fix". More Missiles/Torpedoes boosts.

Prior to wave 7 all ships with Agility 3 that were not the TIE Fighter had playability issues - FFG simply costed them too highly. I'm not sure about the 2 new TIEs however but they are much cheaper than the old standard.
Any ship that had Pri Weap Att 2 or less and relied on missiles, torpedoes or turrets (Y-Wing, TIE Bomber, TIE Punisher) also had playability issues til wave 7 and 8.
Cloaking mechanism was poorly released and since corrected.

Actually most of the Rebel ships don't need a fix - the decrease in popularity of particular ships are basically a shift in the meta. The Y-Wing, HWK-290, A-Wing and B-Wing certainly do not need to be "fixed".

What most people want is a wider distribution for the Integrated Astromech for X-Wing, and more pilots for the Y-Wing, HWK-290 and Z-95 - the rest of the ideas are just tossed out cos aside from the E-Wing no other ship really needs patching. People are asking for Y-Wing shuttles (has appeared in Legends), HWK-290 bombers (has appeared in Canon) or ways to vary old ships to try new things.

    Not really...
The R-41 Starchaser is a clone war ers ship, and has been used by bounty hunters and other scum who predate the rebel alliance. Rebels used it mainly as it was a cheap and usable starfighter earlier on before the X-Wing.
The T-Wing is a rebel designed ship which they decided not to use - they sold the design and used proceeds as funding. HK manufactured the ships and it was succesful among pirates and rim forces.

What I'd like to see are the mando canon shps: the Gauntlet and Fang. The Gauntlet in particular has been around for a long time.

The HWK-290 recently appeared in the most recent Kanan comic as well, with one of the recurring characters from that series piloting it. So, that's at least one named canon pilot they could use. His name is Gamut Key. He helped Kanan escape the Imperial presence on Kaller, so technically you could say he's Rebel-aligned.
