Hi!,
Ares Games did a photo contest, Eaglemoss is doing a photo contest, Will FFG do an x-wing photo contest?
I have participated in Ares photo Contest, you can vote the photo that you like more here in the "I like" button, choose 😱 for the spaceship photo or 💙 for the other.
Thanks!

I have all expansions in spanish, it is a great game. I hope this reprint. I do not like the 2nd market. People that just bought copies to sell them at hundreds of dollars.
-
I just bought one. I do want to buy another destroyer, the Chimaera. But I saw that the price of the interdictor was half of the normal price, so...

New you can dip into the Online game, Deadlock, or both to fill out the fleet. Classic you would have to go pretty much pure fanon or developer created for anything other then the basic battlestar and basestar classes.
I don't need 30 different ships, just 4 good are enough, when did you used more than 4 ships in a 100 points x-wing game?

I wish a green x-wing like the one in Rebels with Rebels characters.

I will love also a battlestar armada!!!

I will love this game!!

If we are requesting things from FFG then I'd like a BSG boxed game like Armada but self contained. Basestar and Galactica and Pegasus. Maybe a campaign on linked missions with varying objectives, like hold off the attack while the civilians escape, or jump in to a cylon controlled system to make a surgical strike on one of their ships.
Thanks you.
Frankly, their existing BSG game (and its endless expansions) provides a reasonable approximation of the title you're requesting.
I doesn't at all. It's great but it's not in any way like a 2 player capital ship battle game.
Can be a good game. In BSG you have a lot of ships, in Blood and Chrome they introduced some more. FFG can do a game with painted ships, to do missions similar to armada. They can introduce something similar to the jumps, put your fleet in a space area near to the enemy and do the mission. Mechworld did something god to start with a new game.

If we're going here, I want Colonial Viper Mk I, II, and IV. It's in universe:
E.T.'s race is seen in the Galactic Senate in Ep I. E.T. has been to Earth. The Battlestar Galactica is been to Earth. Therefore, the Battlestar Galactica can fly to a galaxy far, far away!
I vote for vipers and riders!!

I guess I can wait

Well I guess I'll put up one 'treat' and one little bit of an advancement.
Responsibilities
“Sit.” Admiral Kassik's voice betrayed little as he stood behind the imposing onyx and silver monolith of a desk at the center of the Dawnguard's captain's quarters.
It was an aged stateroom, imperious but bereft of both the grandeur and opulence of an Imperial's more familiar features. The pot lights flickered momentarily as a shiver ran through the aging man-o-war's systems like an arythmic heartbeat.
Fleet Captain Hackett's eyes never departed from the aging man, looking at older wiry white-hired man. Conversely, Kassik never deigned to look at his subordinate.
“I'd rather stand, Admiral.”
“That wasn't a suggestion.” Kassik's razor edged hiss rose to the surface as the veins bulged in his neck, a flicker of restrained rage ghosting across his face. Hackett acceded, taking a sat in front of the desk under the auspice of the Imperial ensign hanging on the back wall.
Kassik departed from his desk and crossed to a display on the far wall. Several rows of brass plaques hung in the spotlight, holograms of a dozen different ships slowly rotating as he neared. An oppressive silence was tempered with the low thrum of the ship's reactor far below their feet as it lay moored at Cauldron station.
Hackett said nothing, instead, he leaned back in the winged chair and waited. After a moment, Kassik began with an ominous growl, “You know why you're here.”
“Because you summoned me, Admiral.”
Kassik placed his hands behind his back, as if guarding them from strangling the ostensibly obedient officer. “Would you care to explain what happened at Wissroe in my absence?”
“Oh, that.” Hackett errantly waved a hand and crossed his legs, “My glorious victory over the Renegade fleet near L-”
“Glorious victory?” Kassik scoffed. “Your actions resigned most of our ships to drydock. That 'glorious victory' required us to beg for support from a raft of third-party Yenkurran ships that were the dregs of their obsolete and thoroughly inadequate patrol fleet. You effectively lost our Star Destroyers, most of our fighter craft, and I won't even include your previous steps in losing me two of my best line officers!”
“With all respect, Captain Arboe was thoroughly unsuited for the task, and captain Marsstak-”
“You would not dare defame the glorious dead.” Kassik's voice slipped to a gravely snarl. “Hackett, if it weren't for Providence we'd have likely lost the vast majority of our offensive fleet in exchange for a single enemy flotilla. If I were in the Grand Admiral's tunic, I'd have demoted you for that miserable Pyrrhic failure!”
The fleet-captian casually shrugged, non-plussed. “And yet, you've made me a task force commander. How is that possible, Admiral? Hmm?” a phantom smile crossed the man's cracked lips.
“Outside forces have deemed your performance of meriting a more aggressive command. And seeing as I can't replace Rear-Admiral Perch, a very capable and competent man-”
“An aged warhorse a good spell past his expiration date and overdue in being put to pasture.” Hackett leaned forward and brushed the edge of the desk, “And you know it.”
Kassik's knuckles cracked audibly as the blood rushed to his face like a crimson wave. “Admiral Perch's service record is unparallelled. You should be grateful you even stand on the same floor as that 'aged warhorse'. I'm only letting you keep your bars because every dog has their day, including the whelps.”
“I have every confidence in myself-”
“Spare yourself the disappointment..” Kassik dragged his fingernails across the table with a rasp. He began to pace, one hand stroking his chin, the other tucked behind his back in an attempt to reclaim some modicum of dignity. “I know how you operate, and I know that your friends are adept at smoothing over your misteps, which lets you float to the top like pond scum-”
“I'd prefer to think of it as cream.” Hackett openly smirked.
“You won't last forever, and the closer to the sun you are, the easier it is to get burned.”
“And your proverbial sun has set.” Hackett watched the admiral turn on a dime and bring his fists down on the desk, yet it didn't deter him, “You haven't controlled this situation from the moment that Rebel admiral skulked into this system. You've tarried and waffled, squandering every opportunity that has been presented to you. Of course, you made your little friends and tried to contain this 'Deathmark' when you should have taken the steps to crush him! And your little 'Due Dalliance'? Tripe, absolute tripe” He scoffed and finally stood up.
“I'll see you processing papers at a remedial academy for ungifted gunners, that's about the limit of your natural talent.” Kassik's voice crackled with a venomous snarl.
Meanwhile, Hackett casually picked himself up and wandered towards the wall of service plaques.
“Don't turn your back on me!” Kassik roared and finally stepped out from behind the desk, heels clacking against the stony surface as he strode to the junior officer.
“Calm yourself, Admiral. You wouldn't want to slip on your tea or burst a blood vessel. Now, didn't you have something to tell me?' The chesshire grin was unmistakable as the fleet captain turned on his heel, hands properly tucked behind his back.
The Admiral didn't arrest his march, but bulled straight into the taller man. With an unceremonious wobble, Hackett turned and hop-skipped back against the cold marble wall. Kassik stood face to face with the taller and broader man, undaunted by at least fifty pounds of muscle separating them.
“You're lucky I don't shoot you for gross incompetence, misconduct, and almost a preturnatural ability to squirm out of whatever hole you've dug yourself into at the expense of anyone around you. I hate you 'politically inclined' officers. You're a blight on the Imperial Navy, and you are the most irredeemable of the Emperor's servants. In thirty years I have never met an officer so thoroughly undeserving, under-qualified, and so blissfully wasteful as yourself.”
Kassik's face twisted into a sour frown. “The Admiralty has decided to promote you to vice-admiral of my fleet. You were not my first choice,. In fact, you weren't even on my list.”
Hackett puffed his chest out and smiled, “I graciously accept the will of the Admiralty. I will act to carry out my duty for the Emperor, in his majesty's four-hundred seventy seventh fleet.” his voice rose with a cough, averting his eyes to look over his superior'ss head, in feigned deference to his rank.
“Don't get too comfortable, Hackett.”
“I'm eminently comfortable in whatever position the Admiralty places me. Neither of us dictate the will of the Navy. I advance by their good graces and my skill,” he leaned over the shorter admiral slightly, “and there will be nothing you can do to halt my rightful advancement as a emerging leader in his majesty's Imperial Navy.”
Kassik chewed on his lip, not backing down as the broader man loomed over him. He nodded a few times, almost resigned to that fact. “You've made a mistake somewhere, I know it. I'll find something, and you'll be executed for treason or gross negligence. You aren't as clever as you think, Hackett. After all, you may have shuffled Arboe off, but you can't get rid of me so easily. And in the mean time, I'll be watching you.”
This time it was Kassik's turn to smirk, but there was only malice in his clear blue eyes, a hint of flint edged reproach. “I'm going to make sure that you don't get any more of my officers killed. You won't be able to muddy the story with me around; you will follow my lead and do as I say. I won't give you room to breath, and you won't get one speck of undeserved glory. Now, Vice Admiral Hackett,” he grinned wolfishly and leaned in close, “get out of my sight.”
The newly promoted vice-admiral sidestepped away, slipping back towards the entrance. He stopped mid-way and half-turned. “I'm honoured to serve under your command, Admiral Kassik. May you serve in his Majesty's navy for the rest of your life. One of these days, when you're gone, I'll have the privilege to say that I served under the great Daaton Kassik, and I'll give a speech to your high ideals. But mark my words, I will bury you, Admiral.”
Hackett shot his superior a murderous parting glare, and calmly strode out the door.
…
A new, dilapidated Yenkurran vessel that I ever so like!

Did I mention I dislike the Gladiator model?
Where did you bought the base?

The size of star destroyers looks like the micro machines of Star Wars. So It can be possible that the x-wings and Tie fighters have more or less the same size as armada. In the photo with all the pieces you see:
1 Super Star Destroyer
1 Death Star (2 if you consider the other photo)
4 Star destroyers
4 Imperial carriers
16 Tie fighters
6 AT-ST
3 AT-AT
12 ground troops?
1 Calamari cruiser
1 Tantive
1 Rebel Transport
2 x-wing
2 Y-wing
2 Snowspeeder
12 ground troops?

Do you sell this model?

-
screenshot please! Or link.
You can see it in "Star Wars Droids episode 7 - The Pirates of Tarnoonga"
The image is in starwars wikia Gladiator class star destroyer Screed Starship.
Marinealver and DScipio reacted to this -
The Gladiator-class Star destroyer appeared in "Droids", it was the ship of some scums, I do not remember their name, but it make sense to have a scum little fleet of two ships or something similar, of ships of that size.
-
Halo would be neat.
Spartan games have produced a space ship combat of Halo.
+1 Babylon 5. A lot of factions.
+1 Battlestar Galactica (They do have a lot of ships instead of what I have heard, and they have a lot of new invented ships old and new era)
+1 Star Trek. Without fighters.
+1 Buck Rogers. I know, just the draconian and the earth protectorate, models just for two waves of ships...
-
One interesting ship to the 3 wave is the GR-75, with it you can do some interesting missions, like transport supply under imperial attack, one thing that I miss in this game are missions based upon special ships (transport, communication, medical...) but all are military ships.
-
I think that we will see the Interdictor (Now they have it in the photos of the Armada web), the Liberty and of course the Super Star Destroyer. Some ships of the Rebels series, and some new invented. I will not see the Malevolence... or other precuel ships, If they punt them, they have to put the commerce federation and the republic faction.
Also we will see special repainting of old models
(like in x-wing), in rebels we have CR-90 in blue, so... -
I think that the quality of this new ship game is not as good as X-wing. I bought a lot of x-wing ships, and more or less they all where well painted and assembled. For armada it seems that FFG choose another place or people... I did receive also bad models and bad paintings, so I decided to buy glue, paint and try to make a better looking. I am a little bit disappointed with quality, I will buy less ships in this game...
Bensonders reacted to this -
Hey Atlantis !
It's been a long time since I last came here.
Congrats for your ships, they look quite cool.
You even managed to build that damned Daru-Mozu !! -XD-
Of course, people will ask you "why spending so much time on these, while this has no concrete impact on the game ?"
(but we, of all people, know the answer
)I too bought the Revell plastic kit of the BSG.

Now there's one thing I really crave for : having Moebius/revell doing modern basestars, so I can have a couple of them at the correct scale.
Can you imagine how thrilling that would be ?
^^
Great!, you paint the model so good!, I know some people that sells the new basestars, I think that the biggest one is one of 24cm
