  1. I've heard a few people say that they bought two of the Base Sets for IA. Now I'll be honest I thought about it due to the fact that I plan to use the tiles and miniatures during our EOTE RPG. (We like using Miniatures, what can I say.) but outside of having extra tiles and miniatures for the RPG is there a reason to buy a second Base Set? I haven't had the chance to play IA yet. That's happening next week. Would like some feedback from you guys that have played it. Thanks!
  2. Am I correct in thinking that when the transport takes damage you give it one of these card for whatever section got hit facedown like other damage cards? I mean you only flip them up on critical hits right?
  3. Hey everyone, I'm going to be running the Beginner Box this weekend for some friends. Most of them are well versed in RPGs and many of them have played EotE. I read the other post about needing to deal with the cameras in the base and how did they get so close without sounding alarms... I feel that this group will deal with those problems with ease. However Is there anything else I should look out for? Things I may need to rewrite before the game?

  5. Well I guess I should have told the whole story... See I ran a game of EotE last year called "Cold Storage" (This is a link to the 1st episode of that story... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM1hsA0L-xg WARNING: If you are offended by adult language do not click on my videos) Anyway... The basics of the story was that the team had to rescue a "Special" cargo. Turned out it was a Jedi that was frozen in carbonite for years to hide her from the Empire. Her father was trying to smuggle her to a contact within the Rebellion. They succeeded and the story ended shortly afterwards. ... Now the guy running our AoR game wanted to play off of this idea and we were to play a special spy team that is embedded deep within the rebellion and supposed to work with them and gain renown (Duty) and try to draw the rebel Jedi out into the open. We are currently playing this story so I can't go into much detail but that's why the cell we are working with has not been glassed from orbit.
  6. Playing it from the Empire side and having it be a lot of fun depends greatly on the GM you have. If you have a GM that can't think beyond just running your group as Stormtroopers then yeah... bland. But playing as a ISB group or Elite strike team can be fun. My current group is playing as a group of IMP. Agents (Spies) deep undercover working to undermine the Rebels. The guy we have running it is doing a great job and we are having a lot of fun with it. It's all in what fits your groups style.
  7. Does anyone else think 3 points is a bit high for the Stealth Device upgrade? Considering you lose it if you get hit 1 time.
  8. Is there somewhere I can find a list of all the upgrade cards and what ship(s) they come with?
  9. I've looked in EotE and AoR and can't seem to find it... Is there a chart or rule I've missed that tells how many rounds it takes to make the jump to light-speed?
  10. Forgive me if this has been asked before but I was wondering... When we buy more than one copy of a ship we end up with extra copies of the Named Pilots, so does anyone have any ideas of what to do with them? Other than just tossing them?
  11. Here in Augusta GA. Nothing but the big ships, Starters and GF9 maps. Coolstuff is out of X-Wings and Tie Advanced (the two ships I need.) Ebay has them for 40Kish prices. So I'll wait for another run but I hope this is not going to be a trend with this "Non-Collectable" game. It could be hard to bring new players in if they have this much trouble finding base ships.
  12. Come on FFG get the reissue of wave 1 ships out there for those of us that have just started playing this game. It's a pain playing a game called X-Wing that I can't buy X-Wings for.
