  1. Long awaited to be sure. It feels like an early Cthulhumas present.
  2. I see that as an AO that you would have to take down hard and fast. Losing clues with gate openings and being KO'd/Insane would cause more damage than usual to the investigators. I love how his ability would make players hold thier breath as they draw mythos/encounters, afraid more of thier clues would sink into the abyss. Im looking forward to hearing how this turns out.
  3. That's when you pray. Or have your investigator drink the whickey if they have it.
  4. I am so glad I'm not the only person that feels the lack of content for the base Elder Sign game. It would be fantastic to get some new investigators, as well as new mechanics like campaigns and stories to play with. Here is hoping 2013 is a good year for Elder Sign.
  5. In the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game, the character creation example is Harvey Walters.
  6. Yep, its gotten very rare these days, and we are in for a long wait for it to get out of reprint hell.
  7. If you would like to support the idea of storage solutions, the link to my wishing well thread is in my sig. Put some replies on it and show your support.
  8. Lethuin said: I ordered one and e-mailed the_book_depository asking if it was an English copy; they said that they didn't know. Can the first person who ordered one confirm that it's English when they get it? If it's not, I'm refusing shipment. From them, it isn't. All they have are German
  9. EcnoTheNeato said: Well, she can already drive a Sedanette, as well as a motorcycle. That's all Sheriff Engle needs to see! Dingby just thinks she's a "little person"... Not to mention still being able to drink whiskey item at the same time. This kid's hard core.
  10. As it turns out the ones I found on Amazon are all German copies with an English advertisement. I feel like the biggest idiot on earth for posting this thread up.

  12. mi-go hunter said: My personal favorite was with the Lurker herald. George Barnaby took a dark pact, and now the devil has come to collect his due (Reckoning card) ... Lurker: "Surrender a common or unique item, or else the Ancient One shall come ever closer to unleashing his wrath!"::Bubble:: George: "Uh...." ::Rummages through his pack:: "All I have is a bit of food." Lurker: ::Sniff:: "Do I smell bacon?" George: "Yeah. So will this-" Lurker: "Your debt is paid in full!" ::Gleefully snatches and wolfs down the bacon, then bubbles back to another dimension:: George: ::Blinks:: "That was weird." Beggin' Strips, Lurkers don't know it's not bacon.
  13. Well Dunwich and The Dark Pharoah are still in development, meaning they haven't even hit the printers yetso we'll have more months of waiting on those. Black Goat of the Woods, and Lurker however, should be a shorter wait, as they are on their way from the manufacturer to FFG.
  14. When I first learning the game with a friend of mine, we usually played Carolyn and Mandy. Even if they are randomly drawn, we usually get those two in most of our games. One time Mandy closed the game-winning portal with Carolyn still inside. After the game I threw Carolyns marker onto the portal location, and pretended she got thrown out of some space/time pocket face-first. We did a little RP dialogue. Mandy- "What the hell happened to you?" Carolyn- "..................I need a shower." He and I now call our games " The Grim Misadventures of Carry and Mandy."
  15. EcnoTheNeato said: They do know they can just evade monsters, right? While some characters are abysmal at sneaking and may not have the right weapons to face them, some characters are good at sneaking (particularly Ashcan Pete, who is usually a favorite among new people), or decent with sneaking and have a good focus. Plus, all you need is 1 success to sneak past that Cthonian, instead of 1 horror check success and 3 combat check passes... Oh yes they were told, and they keep reminding me of the mice that keep biting the electrified cheese.
