Kirga as a mage is weird, because of her yellow cape and her bow, and she really not look like a mage at all to me. And I think there is a trouble on her hero ability. Like it is written, she cannot be targeted at all ? So, no monster ability, no overlord cards, no plot cards, nothing ? Shouldn't it be limited to attacks ? And what about she has a wolf with stalker ? (Immediately after declaring the target of your attack, you may move your Wolf 1 space. Additionally, a monster cannot declare your Wolf as the target of an attack if it could legally target a hero figure instead.) And isn't there a needed rewording ? About Hugo, I think he can be a healer, like Avric is some sort of paladin healer (but his art should be change, though. But Hugo ability lacks a important sentence. It should be "Each hero has : Action. Place 1 of your hero's hero token on your hero sheet. You can discard that hero token during your turn to perform an attack. Limit to once token at time" Same about hero ability. If you want to keep that wording, it should be : "Action : Choose an adjacent hero. Flip that hero's sheet so his feat is avalaible again" but I would use that wording : "Action : Choose 1 adjacent hero. Restore that hero's heroic feat" -

Already done. Here they are : Since he has big move and stamina, he can easily perform up to 2 or 3 attacks a turn, and then do an 1 attack at + 1 and the third at + 2, and with some ranged weapon, that can be really strong. But it is really impressive with his feat. You just have to perform 2 attacks, and then, first bonus attack with the feat will be + 2, then + 3, etc ... and the overlord will avoid to attack him. As a knight, he can protect adjacent heroes and then, the overlord will avoid attack. But I admit that it prove it full potentiel as certain class, and not the other. -

Almost all of the CK heroes were weak, with few broken exceptions. Fine. But I rather prefer my version, though. -

Karnon, Hawthorne, Varikas, but oftenly, I would hybridize it. But Eliam and Trenloe have big differences : the first one has 5 move and and 5 stamina, while the other has 3 and 3. Nothing really to be compared with. And what about rerolling power dice ? -

You're serious ? Orkell is a wreck that can be played as nothing. But about Alys, I've played her as many classes, and she do well as almost all heroes, and even if she works well as Marshall, Marshall can be really impressive with Corbin, Valadir, Syndrael and Hawthorne, for example. But I'm ok that Jaes is also locked on some class because of his Rune affinity Still, I don't think these are the solution. I don't like the idea of rolling an additional red die and deal damages on target and that can go through armor. Maybe just adding + 1 🖤 on each attack while you have 2 equipped weapons is enough, or pierce 1, or something like that -

My mistake. But I still think there is 2 troubles : first, it locks him on some classes so being unplayable on others (will rather be a skirmisher, and never a Marshal for example), and second, this pass through armors, so even biggest monsters like Golems are doomed. I am not so fond of it. -

Q1 : there is line of sight for Ranged attack, and also for melee attacks as long as you can trace line of sight and count spaces Q2 : even if melee attacks do not need range unless for stealthy, you still need to trace a line of sight since for example with a weapon with reach, you cannot attack a hero behind 2 other heroes. But this rule seems particulary unclear. I would say that the idea is if you attack Rolok while adjacent to the boulder you add the black die to him. That's how I understand it as they intended it be. -

Kirga's feat could easily be reworded keeping the consistencies. "Use at the start of your turn. Gain movement points equal to double your speed. You may spend those movement points at any time during any player's turn as long as you do not interupt another player's action unless it is a move action. You lose that movement points at the start of your next turn instead of end of your turn" Something like that, at least. Then, players may track movement point with a die for exemple -

To my personnal experience, he is not a bit too strong. As a knight, already, he is a killing machine, being able to wield any kind of weapon and a shield, having the mobility of the knight and all. He may even have luck with a reach weapon, and his feat will break all ! -

Whao, you really upgrade Laughin ! The way I read him, he can have 2 weapons with 2 hands icons, 1 on each hand ? Looks like a bit overpowered to me ... I played him many times with only 1 hand with a 2 hand icon weapon, and he is already an impressive monster -

By the way, most of your hero sheets have incorrect colors : each green circles should be at the color the emblem and not always green -
By the way Maliki and Saka are not correct : their emblem is red but all small green circle should be red

Balancing the avalaible heroes by creating only mages and healers In fact, if you replace a defense by with a red power die, by the rules, you lose the shield to cancel damages to exchange it to damage the monster by the hero ability. So, maybe it should be "When a monster adjacent to your resolves an attack while adjacent to your, roll 1 red power die. That monster suffer 1 heart for each heart on the die roll" (the "immediately" word has no purpose). But it is really strong, with Andira near, dealing damage to him is a real pain since most monsters may be wiped at their first blow ! Personnaly, I'm sorry to say that I don't like this ability. Maybe as a feat for the whole turn, but since Andira already has something like this, and awfully strong, I would not go this way with him. For Saka and Kuto, "vicious hunter" would indeed be scout (bounty hunter for the better example). But many heroes in the first edition of descent were converted into the second (there was no healer for example, zyla was more of fly scout and not a mage, Ispher some sort of balanced character between scout warrior and mage, etc ...) so there is no need to get stick to those. As for Runebound V3, most of the universe was kept, but many were thrown out, so, I don't mind changing them to so another archetype.

I don't like that much Zanaga's heroes. Maliki indeed needs his place, with Elga and Tara (even if there is already a Tarha) Since there is already many warriors and scouts, adding them to this archetypes doesn't seems usefull to me. So, I don't see Maliki as other than a warrior so let us keep it that way, but I am not so fond of his hero ability, If you do it, then, the red deals only damage and cancel no damages ? Since he has 10 health, he will often be defeated ... I hate Nara for that, si having a hero like her is nothing I wish for ... I see Maliki as a lion, having a war cry forcing a monster to focus on him or maybe his feat. I don't like Kala and Annen so I never through about them, they even don't seems as part of the universe. They look like scouts, but they are already too much, healers and mages are missing from almost a half. Saka and Kuto could be healers, no ? I don't see them as warriors, but more scouts or healers. By the way, Kuto is by far too strong. With a shadow walker by tour side, monsters have not a single chance to survive ! Maybe Pierce 1, or limiting it to your attacks.

I have already tested Tobin Hugo Bogran and Laughin Tobin is really good the way he is, just a bit boring. And I don't like Jain so I will use any other heroes as soon as I can (because 8 health is few and having full fatigue lock almost all skills) Hugo is boring I don't like him. Bogran with Pierce 2 is good but he is boring and I played him using my old feat and I don't like him that much. Laughin is a killer machine really good to play and can be devastating but 3 speed ans 3 stamina are big disadvantages so balance him. But don't forget that some heroes had their abilities totally changed from CK like Ronan and Challara so some should also be changed like Eliam, Aurim, Bogran -

I use this a base it create really impressive almost real heroes. But moving through heroes and gaining free square move is also a shadow : a hero can hide another one ! 😉 Maybe tests are needed Yes I did ! He is indeed a killer as a bounty hunter with long range and feat, he can easily kill any monster from afar
