Since the custodians are Winnu, if a Winnu player is the first to arrive at Mecatol Rex, would the Custodians join them, peacefully annex or fight their own Kind?

Using the distant suns option, the back of the instruction manuals all reference to page 42-43 (which is the tech tree) of the original instruction manual. I am trying to find out what happens when someone comes across these guys. My suspicions run like so:
Invasion: player who finds the Lazax survivor may immediately take the token and is worth +3 on all future political card votes.
Probing: the probing player immediately receives 1 VP and draw 3 action cards
Razing: razing player immediately discards all action cards, exhausts all planets and loses all trade goods and may not vote in the next political agenda.
Am I missing something but just finding him feels like a major let down compared to probing or sanctions put on you for having razed him... it just feels like something is missing for "fulfilling the prophecy" anyone have anything to add??

what exactly does "print on demand" mean ?

Typically when someone attacks another character they have a choice of taking a life, stealing a item etc. With the Howl of the Wendigo it is simply saying that you no longer have a choice to your reward for beating the player, you must force the loser to remove a life and you don't have any other options or rewards.

In my 30th anniversary game I finally won talisman (the first time in over a decade) using the Ghoul...it was a close one and The managerie pet "Wart" is what really saved me as I was attacked on the crown of command by a truly terrifying powerful barmaid on a warhorse whom got turned into a toad and crushed

But, the player targeted the lieutenant, he rolled the attack, he missed (X)...attack resolved, shield activates...
He targeted him and attacked. I don't see anywhere in the rules where a X does not resolve the attack
-
My group and I are having a dispute about this item.
The text reads:
"Each time an attack targeting this lieutenant is resolved and he is not defeated, he tests [might]. If he passes, the attacker suffers 1 [heart] for each [shield] rolled on this test"
My group says this is ability is too Overpowered the way I am running it and it is impossible for them to win at this point.
My ruling on the card is that any time someone targets the lieutenant, hit or miss, complete block or full damage, the overlord gets to test his lieutenan'ts [might] to see if he causes damage back. The only loop hole I see is if a attack causes blast damage next to the lieutenant would be the only way to avoid the use of this artifact.
Am I wrong in my ruling in that the player should at least cause some damage to activate this artifacts "thorn-like" attack?
Thoughts??, and thank you

I was thinking of perhaps a Barvoian/Castle Strahd kind a of place …filled with monsters that are of the undead persuasions… liches , vampires, ghouls… the map maybe would lead you up and into the castle (I'm thinking a one/two way path like ctity maybe, the "safe" road through the graveyard and mausoleums or a hazardous path along the treachous cliffs) where a truly terrible " Lord of the Necropolis" sits (my vision is a Lich…nothing says ultimate evil like a Lich, and maybe there is a phylactery thing, like the talisman) …. And I'm thinking a power lvl on par or above the dungeon… this maybe to be a new way (or alternate) of ending the game… and just spit balling maybe some squares summon monsters from the other boards and if landed upon and gives them a nasty bonus…" if landed upon find the most powerful spirit on the boards and summon to this location and it gets a +3 to it's craft in battle"… or perhaps evil characters and monsters get bonuses like the day time effects… and good or neutral would suffer in this land …that doesn't sound very fair or balanced…but maybe once a evil person enters that board he can't leave it or once he leaves the board he is drained permantly of 3 strength and craft…. Oh! what if a section for demons or devils who manipulate the course of the game… land here and you must make a pact for the players "soul" (gives 5 gold 1 item from any character) over to the devils or they send you back to your start location… Perhaps the soul thing is too un-PC a thing to say…perhaps sign a pact with the forces or evil (you become evil)… perhaps evil people cant fight the necropolis "king", evil players can't win by going down this path but they could get poewerful items or harrass the other players as they try for that victory and they have the advanage in this land (being evil and all), that might encourage more PVP antics in the game : ) … those are some of my ideas….

Where can that rule be found, I don't see it in the standrard rules, is that in a FAQ somewhere? or a expansion rule set?

The_Warlock
"Yes. To complete the topic, even if the Tinkerer is killed, his Objects have to be discarded instead. Nobody will EVER have the Objects that the Tinkerer turns into automated Followers."
I don't understand, if the tinkerer is defeated by taking the last life point they would be at minimum considered a follower taken as a prize for defeating a player or did you simply mean people cannot steal the tinkerers objects unless you were to have a card or ability to steal followers, then you would be able to steal automated followers? or since no ability anyway says "automated followers" after a players death the items in question would need to be discarded rather then taken by the victor or placed on the location that the tinkerer died in?

We are playing witrh the new city expansion and one of the characters attacks a player (the tinkerer). Rewards for defeating a character in combat say you may force the palyer to lose a lifem surrender 1 coin, or take a 1 object but NOT a follower. Since the tinkerer has all his objects set as automated followers…does that mean there is no "objects" to steal or do they still count as objects, they simple don't count toward your carrying capacity?
Also … Constructs taken as followers, are they simply used as a token for the ability to throw away a encounter card and replace it. or can they be used for things like attack or making a attack or count toward trophies?
Thanks

Ok I agree with that logic, but does that mean that with the character "Brother Glyr" who's hero ability is "In adddition to your 2 actions on your turn you always receive 2 movement points"
In the scenario of Brother Glyr is immobilized, he would be unable to perform a move action and he wouldn't be able to use fatigue to gain movement points, but he would still be able to "spend" his two movement points even though he was immobilized?
-
If the OL wins this Encounter he gets a extra 1 XP and "For the remainder of the campaign the OL may choose elements as one of his open groups"
Define "Elements", none of the groups are titled element or even earth ait, fire, and water.
-
OL vs players …
OL says since leap attack is a special action and not a move action he can perform leap attack while immobilized.
Players say leap attack uses move and won't work if immobilized.
Who is right?

Either I keep over looking the line in the rules or I'm blind but when a monster needs to roll a Attribute, what number does he need to roll against?
Example: Say a Runemaster with "runic sorcery" puts a "poisoned" Condition onto a Ettin…What would the Ettin have roll to remove the poison?
Also are Lieutenant by any chance immune to stasis conditions like stun, poisoned, etc?

My prodiction for a release date …
Realm of terrinoth event June 29- July 1st
Retailer showing July 6-8th
Gencon August 16-19
With Gencon right around the corner…they anounced Descent 2 at last years Gencon, they are going to want to release it just before so they can get the store sales and then get the Gencon special edition sets or bonus stuff from Gencon sales for a double wammy. The preview events give them a chance to see how much interest there is and maybe get some press/people who never heard of it looking for it in a month or so. Plus with it problably getting made in China, the boxes are probalby on a shipping container right now and they can't announce anything until the container arrives at their facility. Containers often have a wide range of delay reasons, ocean/weather problems, delays at the port and rail, etc.
My release day bet is August 3-5th

Some abilities and spells either help add to your pray score or allow you to choose the result. (Priest, Knight, Vindication, Invoke favour, Reverence, etc)
My question really is what is "praying" as far as I can tell it done at the chapel, graveyard and the temple and some place cards from the adventure deck.
Is praying the act of rolling the dice and places like the mystic and enchatress or even the crags and the forest counted as "praying".
One of the rules in the game is you have to cast a spell to get rid of it, well on more then a couple of occasions a spell caster gets stuck with spell like "reverence" and the group is mostly evil or neutral or the good players either never visit a chapel or temple or just cant get lucky and land on the darn thing and the player is stuck with a uncastable spell. Could they cast that on any random roll instead?
thank you

Pyroblast says "roll one die and add your craft, if the score is higher then the characters strength, blah blah blah" Does this mean that the enemy or monster do not get to roll their battle roll and would just die/loss a life, with no "resisting" the pyroblast.
Example fire wizard comes across a Hydra STR4 and the fire wizard chose to pyroblast the monster. The fire wizard rolls a 1+4 craft and gets a 5...
The hydra would die because its strength is 4 or would it get to roll a die and possible break even and or win?

I have a player that has inner fire, fire pact and water pact.
Would this character be able to not only burn a monster but "knockback" it with the same attack?
Thanks

Question on this part ...when the players use the glyphs to go to town ...they can return to the same glyph correct or do they have to return to the starting glyph?

Tech Bubble and the technology2 strategy card
in Twilight Imperium 3rd Edition
Posted
I got the Tech Bubble" Action card recently and we are playing with the Technology 2 SC and I cant for life of me see the value in this card...should I discard and redraw as doesn't this card do the same thing the technology 2 card already does? is the only real savings in this case is 2 resource points but now lose a strategy allocation counter? it doesn't seem to me to be a very good action card ...in actually it went from a great card with technology1 card to crummy with the upgrade? Can anyone tell me a good use for this? or any rules changing the card to mean something else when playing with Tech 2 SC card?
