So after the first try when I didn't read the rules right I decided to start over and roll up a random chapter. Problem is I rolled 99... my progenitor is the Space Wolves. Gotcha, cool.
Then after I was done I remember they didnt HAVE an successors... so... any come up with good reasons?
They have no known Successors. There's no particular reason that another attempt to create a Chapter from their Gene-Seed couldn't be attempted.
They had one, and only one second founding chapter, the Wolf Brothers, but they were put down (No pun intended) due to genetic insatiability with the Canis helix. And as such the AdMech has opted not to use them since see http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.php?showtopic=132379 for more reference.

Well I'd have to say no, since Space Marines target youths between the ages of 9 and 12 for induction. This is because of when the implants of phase one through five can be done by the time they are 12 years old, with one through three being done between 10 and 14 years old.
For more information on this you should see http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Creation_of_a_Space_Marine this site is an excelent sorce for anything to do with the 40k universe, and it is extreamly handy if you do not have on hand all index white dwarf mags with all the information in it. Or if you lack all the codices.

Its hard to see a good reason to take a combi weapon over a storm bolter....
Technically, IIRC, storm bolters are combi-weapons. Standardized because they're just that good. =P
Close, Stormbolters are not technically combi-weapons... the combi-bolter would have twin-linked rather then storm, if it was going to be something like the table top version.
It's one of the few things that make chaos termi's better at closer range then loyal termi's. at 12 or less inches, the combi-bolter is better as you get two shots, re-rolling your misses. At grater then 12 inches out to 24, the storm bolter is better since you get two shots.

Sorry to make this my first my first post, been lurking a wile though....
borithan, actually, the Heavy Bolter is listed as a 1" shell, it's in the current Dark Angel's codex, under war-gear. And I think it was the 3rd, well 3.5edition IG codex, that listed their bolters (when sargents / officers could buy them) were .50 cal.
Also in Dark Heresy, the only bolt weapon that's close to the DW bolters, is the Angelis pattern bolter, at a wapping 2D10, and it is mentioned that the reason for that, is beacuse it uses the larger SM round, but owning one, and getting caught with it, carries a heavy punshiment.

Sisters vs. (Battle) Brothers: Bolters.

The differences in damage, could be as simple, as the SM bolt round, just being heavier because it has a more powerful / more explosive in it, for the same size of round.
