I still don't really understand why you never go to the Highland... - well, if you always play strength characters, I'd understand it.
Highlands is a nice place to go with craft characters, always has been (at least for me).
The players of my group almost never visit the Dungeon, guess the first experiences were a little too bad.
And since beating the LoD with going to the crown takes quite some time, I don't see much of a point other than playing a strength character to go there.

In general, you're right. - But be careful and read the text of the cards closely - there are some events that don't get discarded after resolving and there are strangers that leave after they are dealt with / not dealt with.
-
Well, it's "about to engage", isn't it? - So I'd say, yes, of course, after evading and before rolling a die / using an ability.
-
I think the card you're speaking of is the Amulett. The card reads: "You can not casts any spells (including CoC spell) and you are immune to all spells (except the CoC spell)".
So the answer is: Yes, this includes all spells, no matter if it would target a player or anything else.
As long as you have the Amulett, no spellcasting for you.
And the immunity of it extends to all belongings of a player, so if you have the Amulet, no one can use a spell to steal your followers/objects, etc.
PS. Next time it would be nice to cut through your wall of text before you post. Makes it easier to read.

Well, of course, thats what I mean - you were mixing her abilities - her "ritual" and "offer a sacrifice" are two different things, like you said.
It just sounded like Rimmer was still unsure about it.

1) Well, I don't see why he couldn't, but keep in mind he doesn't have to teleport to the character on the CoC, he could as well teleport to another character (unless he should challenge the player on the CoC).
2) I think Riding Horse can be used with Gilded Compass, because it's not about the dice/s you roll, but the outcome - however, you should not be able to use different objects to manipulate the outcome of your dice/s Same should apply to the Oathsworn Guide, but I fail to see why you'd need the compass if you have the guide which allows you to reach everthing within range of you roll/s. No need for compass there.
I don't really get your other question...what card/s do you mean and how could/would they interact with spaces like the temple, for example?
3) I'm not sure about this one, but it doesn't say something like "about to engage" as on other cards we know, so I think you're right about it being an only dice fight - the cards says all boni, so it would be base value + counters + items + weapons + followers and everything.
Awaiting comments from the "veterans"^^...

It's obvious that "any" means "any other", otherwise you stay on the ground stunned and the Dragon eats you.

Well, not sure how realistic you like to be here - but if a card says "any character" - it doesn't mean "any other", so you can use it on yourself, I'd say.
And if a card says your turn ends (or you can do nothing) - how are you supposed to encounter the dragon?
I'm with Daefaroth and the others here.

The text on the card is actually quite clear; you know, this reminds me of my last game with some newbies, where one of them thought the text on the warlock quest cards below the task was rule text....
Back on topic.
"Use" here is clearly not the same as "sacrifice", I think you can agree with that. Just ignore the text from the article and stick to the actual rules on the card.
If you take a look at the Magus, for ex., one of his abilities uses the word "use", too, but I think you would also agree that he doesn't sacrifice them as part of the ability.

Since I can't move Threads, maybe I can help you with your question. - The Sprite - as the Wizard (but he always has only 1 spell) - gets a new spell whenever the Number of spells in Possession is lower than 2 - which means, as long as it's your turn and you get spells you can cast at this time, you can spell cyle as long as you wish.
I assume you know, but just in case: If it's another player's turn, you can of course only cast 1 Spell during that players turn (applies for each player).
Understandable this way?

well, I dont' have any - but how do you know that a ghost doesn't have some kind of "life force"?

-
ever heard of "etherical essences"?!^^...

Thank you very much for the infos.
For those (like me^^) who won't get to Sacred Pool for quiet some Time (because the Translation takes waaayyy too long -.-) , it would be nice to get a look at the Characters Cards of the Cleric and the Dread Knight - so if anyone could be so kind...

Questions about Toadify + Encounters

You know there's a section for Rules Questions? - http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_temas.asp?efid=129&efcid=1
- To the question: You are right, it doesn't matter if Player A or B engages, since they both decided to encounter the character and not the space (objects are on the space after Toadify) - so the battle takes place; of course, the toad will win this, right?!^^
[-> Thing here is, as always, you can't encounter a character AND the space he/she's standing on - you have to pick either one or the other.]
And if the other Player wants to get whatever was dropped there, he/she has to move away next turn and try to land there again - so, like I said before, you guessed right.
