I have been considering removing the tank on the back of the turret. Flame tanks for the most part had their fuel inside and armored up to protect from a explosion. Having in on the back of the turret to me is just a fireball waiting to happen. Might be better on the walker to mount it on the rear of the chassis.

What I thought was cool is the added color rings painted on the edge of the bases. Red for the BBQ squad, yellow for heroes. What do you do for the other unit types? I might adopt this for my troops.

You can find it by going to the Fantasy Flight Collector Dust catalog.

i think they will be smaller units of say 3 .
i am looking forward to them , their power armor will make nice scrap , and i need genetic material for "The Farm" .
Yep the picture on the box is 3 figures. I was hoping for more lighter armed jump troops, like the ones in the Dust website, but I'll buy these.

Basic point cost are on the cards. If your using tourney rules, then they are on the download.

BBQ squads are nasty. But, also remember with the new releases coming, such as sniper. That BBQ will have to be used even more carefully.

very nice you should share.
He does, go the his blog, it is at the bottom of his post.

Also if you wish to use tourney rules, I suggest downloading them. They have a different point value system than the base set.

Yeah I think the Mortar is only a direct shot because it is NOT an artillery weapon. I was asking this because in the book for indirect fire says the artillery will immediately deactivate after doing the indirect shot but on the early page it says that it can fire other weapons as well. If you deactivate immediately after the artillery round then you wont shoot your other weapons. I am confusing myself sorry.

I believe the other weapons can fire, because you fire them all at the same time. I too saw that, but the recap says you can. So I will. I believe the reason it states it deactivates after indirect fire, is because it uses both actions for the turn. But, you will still be able to use all your weapons if you have the range and or the LOS.

So just to clarify if for example an Observer squad called for an artillery strike and the Steel Rain fires indirectly with some rockets. Now if there was an enemy in LOS to the Steel Rain it can shoot the Mortar and the machine gun if in range right? Or the Lothar can shoot its Machine gun after an indirect shot?
Yes.
To be technical that lothar would be firing his MG at the same time as his indirect fire.
I believe the Steel Rain could also fire the Mortar indirectly also. Difference is it's small range. Rules seem to hint at it, since it states it can shoot a arcing shot like Artillery but within a fixed range. Yet the rules also state only A can fire indirect. Confusing.....

enter, deploy same thing in this case. Just poor wording. You deploy as per rule book.

The picture on the box is 3.

It's back up. 40 pts maybe steep, but there can only be one. I can live with that. (since there can really be one per armor rating, I wonder what other possible command units are in the works)

Thanks for the heads up.

Not to mention the Nazi zombies.................

I sometime kit bash rule set. Case in point. My Warhammer 40K. I love the models, but not the rules. I'm not a huge fan of modern warfare, but LOVE the Modern Warfare set of rules made by Mongoose games. Reason are they are simple, with a very cool rule that if you fire or move within 10" of a enemy unit, that enemy unit may give a orders such as move, or shoot as a interuption. Works simple and is effective. Use 40k rules, but with the interupting rule from Mongoose, and thier streamline close combat. That said.....
I have, and will be selling off most of my different games and rules. Why? Because it is a pain to learn another system, and I'll stick to less than 5 total. DT however has become the TOP of my short list of rules and games to keep.

Add in a pic comping Warlord and AE-WWII minis, maybe Artizan too?
I would think they would all be smaller.

If I am playing outside my home, then I agree. But, within my own home, why not? That said, I have no house rules for this game. I like it as is.
I'm thinking about useing bunkers, aka pill boxes in my games. Defender gets them, and you get two at 2 pts. They replace any blocking terrain. Count as hard cover. I'm hoping DT will have them in the future. But, I agree, if your going to conventions better brush up on the OFFICAL rules. I have not the time nor the resources to go to them anymore. I know of no store in my area that even runs tourneys.

It sounds really good. But.......
I can see players agrueing over how the mini is facing, and over small angles and dangles. I been there and played too many armor games where that has happened. So, I rather not go there. But, if you have a good group of fellows that can play well together, I say HAVE AT IT!

My Deluxe base set had painted terrain. But, not the expansion. That said, did you get a certificate in your base set? I did and it is set DT001.

Hi gang,
My Deluxe edition came with unpainted terrain and Rosy in a Green outfit with a grey shirt. Is that normal?
-
To cover the new troop types and heroes?
-
Superior job. Wish I could paint that well, but my eyes are too weak. Had my irises burned twice. Lucky to have any vision.
-
First off, SUPER job on those models.
I like them. Question are the model fully compatible with DT models? Size wise.
