  1. i played a few more games and had a bit of luck. using leadership sphere. came very close. i think there is some light at the end of the tunnel on this one. my first plays i had i didn't do to well at all with leadership. i must have done something wrong because i'm getting close every time now.
  2. seriously. i have played multiple times with each sphere. ending in my demise every time. well alright i can't say i always die. oh no locationed to death is no longer a threat it is getting any sort of questing done at all. this sounds like a complaint, but i promise i'm not complaining, i'm having fun with the new quest and seeing some interesting ideas form in my head on some deck building. i was wondering though has anyone had any success with beating this solo single sphere? is there any hope of getting any ground unless you customize the deck? my answer so far is no. it seems like you have to customize. i even played a 2 player game it went a little better but ended due to having 3 enemies on both sides we didn't even have a chance to help each other also resources were way low. my wife is my 2nd player in this game and it really made her mad, i admit it can be frustrating especially endable you are going to lose and all you are doing is hold on and wait for hope and it doesn't come. well i'm going to give this some more tries i would like to beat it solo with a single sphere. hope to hear if there has been any success at this
  3. i got mine the day after it came out. and have played it everyday at least once. the bgg says i have played it 17 times, but i know i have played it more and forgot to log it. i keep checking in to the page everyday as well just to read what other are saying. it is also one of the few games i have given a 10 to on the bgg.i got it bad
  4. i thought about doing nightmare mode, but the way my games run you have to be brave to try. it seems like all my games end around 40-49. not being able to restart that each turn i would not get very far. gandalf seems to be my savour in this game, i haven't beat many games with out him. cool to hear someone has tried it.

  6. thank you for the replies. know to just get those cards to come up and be able to spend the resources for them.
  7. i was playing escape from dol guldur last night for the first time, and it was time to bring out the nazgul of dol guldur. in the 2nd forced it says to discard a character. does that mean that character is dead, or just out of play? i played it as dead, which would mean it is very important to get alot of ally cards in play before you even start to get to him. rough very rough.
  8. thank you everyone for the replies.
  9. i got the revised edition last month, and we started playing by those rules. i must say i like this game a lot more. and really i didn't think i was going to enjoy the new rules, but i do. i do how ever have some questions about overwatch. that have come up in play and i have had no answers for, also can't seem to find the answers. 1. while on overwatch is that player allowed to use there extra ammunition? i personally say no because it says during activation, the other player says "they are activating the overwatch player" although i still see it different i see it as an overwatch not an activation. 2. can a player on overwatch interrupt another character on overwtach? or kind of the same question but dealing with character.. can yula use her close combat bar to interrupt the overwatch character. looking forward to hear from anyone with answers, thank you.
  10. i recently bought the new rules. i am a fan of the old rules, but i gave the new ones a try. personally i think the new rules are worth a try. their is a few or more changes on the characters. i think the battle changes is a improvement. they also have an overwatch rule which is really cool and can do some serious damage. yet still i don't like the victory point rules. even though i'm a fan of the old way, i will be playing this game with the new rules for now on.

  12. i have played this game with two players quite a bit. it works well and is fun. i have even played this game by myself, it's tricky when you get to battling the villages. i just shuffle there cards and place one then do the same with mine. it works i mostly did it to get an understanding of each character.

Does it make more sense that while you've developed technology to fly around in aeroplanes, you're still considering stacking a few rocks together and calling it a "wonder"? i was thinking it wouldn't make since due to that Ah, so you mean it should be related to technologies rather than culture? (And by the way, it's "sense", not "since"). yeah the wonders should have been locked, but unlockable by technology.

  15. i came up with the idea it's because if you find your copy has defects you only have to take pictures and mail in the proof of purchise. it might have been a silly idea, i also thought maybe they might be doing a point system how many proof of purchases do you have? o.k i'm being a tad silly
