  1. hye, been doing this since the releace of DH - by now I use laminated A2 sheet with grid on it to make a battlefield and then tarrain from tabletop to make interior- drums, sandbags, crates, pipeing, ex ex. We use "real line of sigt" so the players can shoot what they can see and the cover is defined like that as well. This "3D" map is great for very dynamic compbat and quick to change (over tradisonel drawings) and you avoid the eternal :"can I hit that" - when it´s obvious your teammate is right in front of your heavy flamer ><
  2. This is great!, though theres not enough room for Xp advancement. In long campains I simply run out of room.
  3. Lovely detail, less manga WH40k is grim and dark, smiling manga girls (no matter how great drawn) just dont fit in very well (in my opinion) Give a scarred, angry Sister of battle blowing the face of a orc (or some guy) a shot ^^ I dare you
  4. the idia is great, but I use Dark Reign website for that at the moment, there is a lot of good stuff there... and ofc this forum
  5. hehe 15 min off time from 2345 to 0000, well that sounds like a rigores militery life alright. cool schedule btw. When I have players, I want to afford them a certain freedom however, so I´ll modify my old schedule to include Fireing rites and so on, but keep the blanks for player development

  12. There is no question that making Wh40k ship deck plans are both ambiseous and slightly insane. While there is a few good maps out there, and indeed many great topics on this very forum about, what ought to be on a spaceship, there are virtually no detailed deck plans. Obviously that may have something to do with the fact that drawing a 10km long spaceship with 100+ levels and a maze of hallways are a daunting task indeed. There are in fact only 2 ways to make a "good" visual repensentasion of a ship layout. 1, make is small, a gunboat, minor shuttles or very small ships 2, Make a outline of the ship and point to whats where. Theres the bridge, the Apothecarium ex ex. I went for option1 and made a 3 deck detailed plan over a vessel for about 40 personel. The idia is to test my skills and to use it as a small endeavour vessel, sent with a private security force to do some stuff. As is it the resolution is VERY high as it is a 13MB PNG and I also have PDF versions on filestorage should anyone care. I will make all 3 decks and more as they come availevle on my Deviantart and maybe through dropbox (on requet only). I relice there is a number of things missing, Lifesupport, manufactorium, cogicators systems, comminication, gun decks, apothecarium, secure vaults, prison fasilities, view dome, cathedral or at least a shrine and much more. Keep in mind this is the first, already i am working on a ship that will have 3 subdecks,6 maindecks and a hull, and is 12-15 times bigger (this one was mapped in 300x150, other is in 1000x400 (meters) Look at it on my Deviantart and tell me what you thing on detail lvl, add to the list of facility there ought to be and I hope others will benefit from my work. Ps, makeing all 3 decks took about 12 hours. Posting link twise in cas i messed up, since I cant Paste it in here! (wft) PPS for thouse that dont know deviantart, I remark that you shoul look to the UPPER right of picture and press the download to get thw 7000x5000 picel version. Regards Rune
  13. Great work mate, makes life much easier for other GM´s
  14. No I have made quick reference sheets and laminated them with things like combat modifiers, influence and much more. If they buy a book fine, but otherwise they get to fight over mine when they level up. On several occations I have borrowed my own books to a player between sessions so they might study it. Buying should never be forced, if they do so they must do so out of own interest. regards
