  1. So I am need for replacement cards and am wondering how I could go about getting them? Thank you
  2. We have used Facebook to great sucess for other gaming in Colorado so I started a Facebook Group. Please come over and join, as well as encourage your fellow gamers to join. It is free and has great event creation and tracking ability. https://www.facebook.com/groups/458432717581000/ Thanks!
  3. I will be stopping by to learn a bit. I am "The Junkie" from http://www.rm40k.com/
  4. I was not too impressed with the Black shield class in RoB, and I think your work here will do well to flesh out my Black shield NPCs. Thank you
  5. In effort to inject some RP'ing to the group my watch captain is a black shield, named Caine. Recently promoted to the position he leads Caine's Chosen, two six man kill teams. However depending the groups performance in their missions he may get assigned more teams. He has returned from the depths of chaos to the light of the emperor. (I am still working out his dark secrets) His eyes and sockets look charred and he wears a wrap around visor to mask the injury. He is also abnormally large for a space marine due to some alterations made during experiments he was forced to undergo. I envision him as a reluctant follower of chaos, but did so believing in the leadership of the chapter. While he watched his battle brothers fall to corruption he started to question the future of the chapter, and his own. When he started asking too many questions he was reassigned to assist the Apothecary as a test subject. After months of pain and torture he escaped when the chapter assaulted a planet. With no direction to travel he wandered the surface, surviving many months off the planets wildlife until one day he stumbled to a watch station to offer his life in service towards his achieving redemption. I need help figuring out a chapter for him to originate, if anyone can toss out an idea.

  7. I thank you for the commitment you are giving into the creation of your House rules, but I wish you would create individual post for the different areas. I know that for me it would allow me to better compare and contrast between the book, your changes and my suggestions.

Those psychic phenomena become much less dangerous when the Libbys can reroll the results of their Phenomena; even more so if they take Rite of Sanctioning [available at first level]. The Libby of my group constantly pushes his powers, because the forementioned combo makes him laugh at the prospect of psychic phenomena causing a Perils. Heck, the SW Runepriest two-shot the Broodlord in Final Sanction by smacking it first with a pushed Smite, followed by a Killing Strike and a Push with his force sword the next round. In short, as long as your players don't discover the combo I mentioned above, you should be fine Completely agree with you, like I was saying, Librarians are a power gamings dream, broken if you know the combo. Just like in DH with Biomancy and TK.

Like Force Dome: AV 12-14 @ level to allies within 30m> Basically it will allow the Battle Brothers to sit back and shoot till they run out of ammo or enemies. (AV12+ PA8+ TB8= 28 Damage reduction/ hit) Keep that up and then just smite till its melee time. (30-60m range/ 3d10 pen3 or 6d10 pen6) -Team that guy up with a Tac-marine and or a Devastator and it a tough nut to crack. good thing is, it requires your Librarian to take more of a supportive role, not too many people who want to play a Librarian are willing to do that. Atleast not in my experience with the games. At the psy rating you suggested it's only +6 AP. And +12 only when pushing with a guaranteed Perils of the Warp. Librarians who don't cast fettered tend to live on borrowed time. Alex Yeah, perhaps my group does keep things fast and loose. We always bank a fate point for the reroll.
  11. Thank you for the responses. Question answered.

  13. I took us several 6 hour sessions to complete Final sanction and the second one. I gave them 2k exp for the added time.
  14. So then, my questions is on the origin of a Techmarine. Is an astates created in the standard ways of the chapter then sent to the school of Mars for training? Or does the Macanicum send recruits to the various chapters to be made into space marines? -Perhaps a better way to ask would be: Whats created comes first? the Astartes or the Techmarine. Where would the techmarines loyalties, usually lie?
  15. I have a question. How do you other GMs approach combat senerios with such long range weaponry, and expansive terrain? ---Do you always have the enemy sneak up on the PCs in an ambush senerio? --- Or only attack in dense areas, such as Urban or Jungle? With how far a space marine can see and the range of a bolter, I am having trouble getting a horde into hand to hand while they are still something to be scared of. The elites do not fair much better. Any suggestions?
