thank you for the great article. It helped me a lot! Hopefully, it will work out at our local regional in 2 weeks!

As always, most is about your own preferences. Personally, I play both games, but i am more into the Star Wars LCG because of the setting and especially the bluffing in the edge battles.
As Darkjawa said, Yoda taking out a Devastator is not the best story-consistent situation, but in regard of the gameplay necessary I think. I remember here situations in the old Star Wars CCG where one side played a fleet deck and the other a character deck and nearly had no interaction during the game at all.
My suggestion would be: Check for which game there are more players in your region, and if there are enough who play both games, let them show you the game mechanics of both and then make a decision.

Thanks for the suggestions. Echo Caverns is good indeed. I am very curious about the planned article

I do like the Luke/Han/Obi/Prep/Guardian version. It's not the easiest deck to play as manging that many tactics correctly takes thought, but it gets results.
I think I've found the topic for my next article though: How to Beat Sith Control. I've been playing Sith Control pretty much since the game hit the shelf so I have a pretty decent idea what scares it… and it's not much.
Such an article would be very helpful, I am sure
The regional I am planning to attend is on June 22nd….just for information

So, what build for the Smuggler´s Den are you suggesting? The pure version with 2 Guardians and 2 Spirits OS or the new one with Luke, Han, Obi and Preparations for Battle? I personally haven´t tried the new variant yet, but will definitely test it before I go to the regional

I´m curious what new tricks A Dark Time will bring.

At the moment I play 2x Luke, 2x Yoda, 2x Han, 2x Guardians, 1x Spirits and 1x Caverns. I find it really hard to get any damage through with Emperor and Vader or Emperor and Royal Guard(s) on the board.

Hi all,
I wanted to ask for advice how to beat Sith Control with the Smuggler's Den. We play the Sith variant with 2 x Fall, 2x Web, 2x Killing Cold, 1x shadows on the ice, 1x Counsel, 1x Cruel Interrogations and 1x Imperial Command. My brother and I tried it multiple times and could beat the Sith only when they were totally card screwed and Jedi could drop the Big Three. Otherwise they always hit 12 before three objectives were destroyed.
Perhaps it is our play style, but I really have no idea how to go against the overpowering control elements the Sith offer. I would be very happy to hear your advices.
Thanks,
Christoph

Hi all,
I want to announce our regular Star Wars LCG meeting in Regensburg, Germany. We play every Thursday starting at 8 pm. Our location is the restaurant Antoniushaus, Mühlweg 13, 93053 Regensburg.
I would be very happy to see some of you around. If you have questions or want my contact address, just PM me.

When I play the Sith objective Crue Interrogations, I may capture one card randomly from each opponents hand. I wonder now if I am allowed to look at the card before it gets captured or is the LS player the only one who is allowed to know which card lies there face down?
Thanks.

Thank you for your quick answer. I was really too stupid to read the manual! Please forgive me

I have also a question concerning these Slayers. Because I somewhere read that there will be cards which need the Slayer keyword to be played, I wonder if these slayers have been forgotten. They are only "warriors" an not "slayers" like the Trollslayers, for example. Is there an errata of this card or has this fact been overlooked?

Hello everybody,
I am very interested in this game and I am planning to purchase the Core Set in the next few weeks.
Recently, I read the rulebook on the website. On page 4 there is the "Sword of Y'ha-talla" as an example for a Support card. In the title of the card there are two Cthulhu symbols. So my questions is: What do these two symbols mean? In the description of the card traits they are not mentioned. Please forgive me if I am only too stupid to find it in the rulebook.
I am looking forward to your answer because I think this game could become one of my favourites.

Christoph

I think all two-power-in-kingdom starts are pretty solid. My favourite start which I can often accomplish is High Elf Spearmen (K), development(K), Innovation, Envoy of Averlorn (Q).

*LOL* I will try! Or I order the BPs and a nice necklace at the same time

Thank you for your quick answers. Perhaps waiting is the right option, because if I purchase the same boxes twice again, I fear that my girlfriend will run amok ^^

Hello everybody,
I am new to this Forum and I hope this is the right place to ask my question.
I play Warhammer: Invasion for a couple of months now and bought all BattlePacks 1x, because three of them would be too expensive

Until now, I only play casually with my brother, but in future I want perhaps to take part in a local tournament. So my question is: Do I have a chance with my cardpool or will I be crushed with not having each card three times? I know that playskill is also very important, but if it is nearly impossible to win a few games with this kind of decks, I will have to work veeery long in the next months

Please forgive all mistakes in my English, but I am no native speaker.
Greets,
Christoph

Preparation for Battle + Renegade Squadron Escort
in Star Wars: The Card Game - Rules Questions
Posted
Hi all,
I was wondering the following: If I have Preparation for Battle out and the dial is 4 or lower, then I play a Renegade Squadron Escort with other vehicles. If I am able to put a shield onto the escort, can I just redirect all damage from every other vehicle to my escort and say: Well, it is shielded, it cannot be damaged? That would make a whole fleet invulnerable, but I am not sure this is ruled this way. Can you help me out here, please?
