Actually, scratch the above. I believe the best fix is to simply add one blank to the cup for 4-5 players or 2 blanks for 6 players.

My idea: If an investigator is engaged with more than one monster, make an attack using the worst combat modifier of the monsters engaged with. The number of successes can be divided between the monsters as the player sees fit.

Really not a fan of the art and I don't think the initial cast covers the bases well enough. Also, it really should be 5 player. The rest I'll wait and see.

    Fellow investigators!
I have taken over the task of maintaining and updating that stats form and sheet, and will try to do justice to Richard's fine work up until now.
Today I have implemented the following changes to the form:
Added the 4 scenarios and 8 investigators from Under Dark Waves Added the 4 variant Recursive Echoes investigators, denoted by (RE) Added the Arkham Nights variant Ashcan Pete investigator, denoted by (AN) Added optional entry of game mode Added optional entry of inevitable game number And the following changes to the sheet:
Included the new scenarios in the basic scenario summary stats, i.e. times played, overall difficulty Included all new investigators in the stats calculations Renamed the existing Pete entries to Pete (AN), to reflect that they all were played using the variant version The specific scenario stats sheets with spoilers for the 4 new scenarios will follow in the next update, and after sufficient data has been submitted for the data to be meaningful.
Please do no hesitate to send questions, comments or corrections to arkhamhorror3stats@gmail.com.

I hate to start a new forum for a new game with a negative, but this is going to be a hard pass for me, at least for the time being.  They didn’t even finish 2E.  I’m also not a fan of the artwork, and the characters aren’t even the same.

i don’t know. I’m sure someone is excited about this, but at that price tag I’m just wishing more of those resources would have been put into 2E.

I and many others believe the base difficulty to be a little overtuned especially for larger playgroups with too much activity pressuring the investigators to always be in react mode right from turn 1. The fact is the game doesn't scale that well and that draws away from the more narrative experience that AH2 had. Some people like that exaggerated sense of pressure, but many veterans of AH2 don't and it's something FFG needed to do something about.
Under Dark Waves "officializes" a few additional game modes including story mode, which replaces a doom token with a blank token in the mythos cup. It also has a challenge mode that makes the game even more punishing for those that like that aspect more.
I haven't played it extensively yet, but I think these mode options are a big win and the story mode in particular makes the game more enjoyable for the average player group.

Einlanzer80 got a reaction from Vinicius Lessa in FFG live large box speculations: what would you like to see?
Not really a "big box" thing, but one thing I'd love to see is a couple of additional blank or positive mythos effects that can be optionally used to offset the over-scaling of difficulty with more players. Even just getting 2 additional blank mythos tokens with a rule to use 1 of them for 3-4 players and 2 of them for 5-6 players I think would have an immensely positive impact on the playability of the game.

Houserule: test Will with the Horror damage of the monster as modifier. If you pass the check, you manage to find the courage of going one more round against another beast. In this way you control better the board, and Will starts having a purpose
