    1) Wasteland: War has devastated this space and its denizens have long since fled. When encountered, discard all other faceup Adventure cards on this space and on each adjacent space.

The FAQ answer for Earthquake is key here:

    Earthquake
Q: If a character draws the Earthquake along with another
Adventure Card, is the other card also affected by the
    Earthquake?
A: No. The Earthquake only affects cards which are already
faceup on the board when it is drawn.

And it only effects other cards adjacent when encountered. Basically it like not placing drawn adventurer cards on the space until after all the cards drawn are or have been encountered or had the chance to be encountered.

    2) Suleiman's Seal: You may automatically defeat a Spirit or Elemental in your space. If you do, place this card on the Temple space. If you cannot, discard it instead.
You cannot take this card from the Temple unless you pay 1 fate.

Its a Magic object the character can use once you encounter a Spirit or Elemental in your space. So its a later date card.

Well how about explaining why "to you" my before post does not prove anything in regards to this rule issue, That would be a good step forward instead of this constant adolescent gibberish or (and this is a good thought) just don't re-post if you don't have any extra "on topic" remark to make.

One of the disadvantages of delays when making expansions, is that sometimes the interest wanes a little.
One of the advantages of delays when making expansions, is that you get to polish everything and sometimes end up with cool bonuses like a whole new expansion in addition to the original plan.
Another advantage is that you also get a bit of time to work on other outstanding bits and pieces. Like these...

I've gone for a "combo Elf/Dwarf" vibe with the Border cards, along with a "Dwarves trying really hard to tart up something, but all they can do is angles" vibe with the Forge cards.
    I hope people like them.

I'm clearly no graphic designer, but here is my latest try at a card back for the Realm cards (that you technically will hardly ever see!)

    Please be gentle...

A little bit of news to keep people keen for the moment.

In addition to the 6 new cards for the expansion, I've been playing about with a little something that (I hope) will add a bit of an interesting bonus to user of the Realms expansions.

Back during the development of the Nether Realm, is was floated that some rules were included to use the Nether deck in a normal game of Talisman, and not being dependant on the use of Alternative Endings. Because of the space required in the rules for "repeated" items, like Endings, it was not possible however, as the budget at the time could not stretch to a third rulesheet. Something I'm glad happened in the Deep Realms!

So, I'm considering rejigging the Nether Realm rulesheets to include the optional rules.

Also, whilst Deep Realms was in progress, there was an Alternative Ending to be included, but again, due to space constraints it was left out. I've since rethemed it (very slightly), and will be making it available for download, along with a completely pointless bit of nonsense that I've come up with.

Given that the PoD expansions came in plastic "clam shell" packaging, I thought it would be nice to design a box for the expansions to go in. If only for your shelf!

So... the plan is, that when the Lost Realms is made available (no ETA as yet) there will be an small additional download to bulk out the other Realms expansions.

    (I hope that made sense...)

This was my line of thinking when I read you are looking to include 6 more Border cards. I'd suggest making 2 of the 6 new Trails, dropping the Outlaw as you mention and also the Treasure Hunter. Perhaps have a Winding Cavern as a Trail?

As the Trails lead to the destination spaces, and you have to get past whatever you encounter before you encounter the Trails, and successfully get past the Trail itself while still remaining in the Region, I think the ratio of Trails should be 8 of the 42 total cards.

Can you copy the updates over the card pages? or are the updates just for playtesting results.

I have to say I wanted to see a rule that takes one card from the Highlands Relic deck at random example: Like during setup when you place the Forge deck in play shuffle and take one card at random from the Highland Relic deck and place in face down under the Dwarven Highway part of the Lost Realms board (so that at least half of the Relic cards back is able to be seen). The Relic card placed in this way remains here for the rest of the game.

Also, it's a great idea to add more card.

If Sam had made a point of reducing the text on the 7 Talismans in Cataclysm, to go with all of the other trimmings, I would consider it. As this would end up being the only Talisman without the blurb, I am going to go with the midi template.

There's been a bit of a lull recently due to real life etc, but things have been bubbling along behind the scenes a little.

I have been playing with the Iron Talisman card for another little project, and was reminded of a concern that I had, and was voiced here, about how I had changed the "standard" wording of the Talisman.

This was mainly due to the space available on a normal card, but there was the added problem that if you switched templates, there would not be enough room to display the image of the Talisman.

    Without the standard wording -

    With the standard wording -

So, I played around a bit and made a "midi" template which I think seems to work on all fronts, but I'm interested to hear what people think.

Does this look okay, or should I just go with the first example?

OH YEAH! These cards you made are looking really good, and they are actually really similar to the kind of stuff I was thinking of.  I was thinking of changing the grey borders of the cards to something like light blue or purple space/nebulae to make the realm cards look distinct from ending cards. I quite like the ideas you have for the Astral Demon. I was travelling yesterday, and I'm away from my normal computer right now, or I would make something and put it up.

    Looks like another great idea.

I had edition 2 of Talisman and Timescape in the 80's when I was very young - Hence why all these decades later I recently, after realising it still existing, I decided to re-discover Talisman in it's 4th reincarnation for nostalgia sake! (and here I am!)

Great idea about making it about planes and you could change the name Timescape to Planescape. Always wondered where the planeswalker came from and you can have planes walking type characters too.

Sounds like tons of Fantasy potential here and a great opportunity for Talisman nuts to let their imagination go (within reason, of course, otherwise,
you will end up with my Space Shark Rider Jawa Death Squads).
