I ordered two deluxe edition Jagdluther and two deluxe edition Fury of Ivan sets. All arrived a few weeks ago... One of my Jagdluther's was missing the card. I emailed dust-tactics.com and they sent a new card out, I just got it today. So they gave me the missing one.
I scanned them in and they are now online in the gallery at boardgamegeek.com for anyone who wants to print one, you can head over there and get a copy.

Starting them off half way is a fair deal, it makes it not totally suck to have to start a new guy, but it also doesn't allow the players to just be crazy and have the attitude "oh well, I'll just make a new guy if I die".
It still punishes them, but won't ruin the game or have one player lacking.

I did a circus campaign in 1st edition D&D back in the 80's, I pretty much just made it all up on the go, with some pre-made NPC characters playing the parts of things such as the StrongMan, Fortune Teller, etc.
The idea in the campaign was that the adventurers discover that every town the circus visits, several people come up missing, so they decide to join the circus and get to the bottom of it.
The adventure was quite fun, and very easy to just make up on the go. If you find any good resources on the web, please let us know!

4e D&D is both good and bad in a way... the combat is very tactical, and I actually enjoy it, but more like a tactical mini game. I am not able to get into playing 4e as a role playing game because the combat is just too much now, not like it was when I started playing back in the early 80's.
I think WFRP really suits my needs better because it is more of a role playing game than D&D currently is.
I did notice someone posted something on Board Game Geek about how they incorporated minis and the grid map into WFRP for his group and it worked well, you may want to try something like that to help get some of your D&D guys to at least give it a shot.

My typical D&D groups have always been me as DM and 6-8 players... my WFRP group is me and 3 players, but I do hope in the future more players will join, so a 4-5 player 'generic' expansion pack would be great, and even though I wouldn't use it 'now', I would still purchase to have on hand if needed. It would be a fairly low cost and easy to produce item since everything it would need already exists, I think this is a no brainer for them to produce.

Try hitting up some of the local D&D groups, I have found that for the most part D&D guys are always willing to try out some new games once in awhile, and if it is enjoyable then you may get some new players.

Now, I'm not saying one way or another about the original question itself, since it's possible that for whatever insane reason that FFG wouldn't include the extra figure and card in the pre-painted box. That seems crazy to me, but hey, anything is possible.
That being said, what amounts to "Dude, I heard it from this one guy on the internet" is hardly convincing evidence for anything. People should be patient and see what the official word is before getting worked up. After all, it's not like FFG is particularly forthcoming on anything, be it good or bad, so I don't necessarily consider their silence on the matter to be indicative of anything.
Since the minis are currently for sale, they should be forthcoming on what is included (or not included), especially with people asking about... I know FFG is 'closed' this week for inventory, so I am holding off on ordering anything until we find out for sure next week.
