Thanks. Was this step mentioned someplace and I missed it? Otherwise other people (that don't access this thread) may get the same error and not know what to do.

Thanks for LF7.
I would need some help on getting the pregens eos cards working tho. I installed Strange Eons and the WFRP and LF pluggins, but when I try to open the pregen careers, i get an error.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: The script needed to create the component could not be found wfrp3_adds/demo_sheet_talents.js
What am I doing wrong?

Is there going to be an update that adds 3rd edition landmarks? Such as Hugeldal (this was mentioned in 2nd edition, but it's not on the map), Stromdorf and there was a village mentioned in TGS while travelling to Stromdorf that I forget the name right now.

Klugge definately does not appear in Signs of Faith adventure. I am not sure about Winds of Magic adventure. I see you didn't mention Edge of Night. DId you play that adventure? Although Klugge does not appear in there, there is a Grey Wizard involved (a rather funny individual too. He seems to be drunk in most of the adventure and his 'magic pranks' are cause a bit of a pandemonium...
-
I have read those adventures but not played them with my group. Yet.
Why are you interested in those two in particular?
The experience needed is late 1st carreer, or early 2nd career. The logic is that the authors assume that players will have already played the adventure inclueded in the core rulebook and perhaps another adventure (TGS? or a homemade one), so it would be safe to assume that people that bought those 'expansions' would not be started characters.
But it's very easy to change the difficulty of the adventure, since they are investigative to a large decree, so they are not affected by levels that much,
SPOILER
Small synopsis
(both adventures rely on PC investigation)
Winds of magic: Altdorf: A tzeentch cult abducted mages from the college of magic (one mage from each college) and using warpstone created a 'distorted clone' of them. PC must confront them and end the cults plans. Uses mutation rules, features tzeentch-type monsters.
Signs of faith: Hugeldal (south of ubersreik), A pawn of Nurgle is spreading disease in the village of hugeldal, features nurgle-type monsters and demons. Uses disease rules.

FFG may have very good reasons for being quiet at the moment...
They do.
Seriously, it's all good. Nothing to worry about. Take it easy!
I am sorry but who are you? Are you an FFG moderator of staff? Your reassurance is based on what?

Are you talking about this:
forum.strike-to-stun.net/viewtopic.php where some 2nd ed. players from strike-to-stun seem to have taken offense on this thread: www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp ?
I just dont get the whole 2nd edition vs 3rd edition argument. It's the same for DnD, and is what makes me sad about our hobby. Instead of banding together and promoting it, we argue with each other about whose favorite version is the best.
The StS thread was about GW's evolving "official" imagery for the Order of Morr and Amethyst Order. It just happened that the OP learned about the GW developments from posts on this board. He could have referenced the offending source material instead, but I gathered that he doesn't own any of it or else it wouldn't have come as a surprise to him.
You are correct. I reread the OP's post and he does indeed just use the original post as a reference to the material he doesn't own. But to my defence, he used words such as 'innocent exchange' and 'on a forum that shall remain nameless', 'one of the old folks disturbed whilst sleeping in their rocking chair' and 'horrified by the now apparently entirely accepted vision of wizads running around with bloody great scythes -let alone priests of Morr doing so' which biased my attitude towards his post and led me to believe he was just another 3rd edition hater. But I was wrong.

I am not really eager to post any adventures I come up with because some people on these boards are brutal. There have to be some kind of rules of etiquette about what is appropriate to say about other people's work and what is not cool at all. Plus in the past, certain individuals will cut things that you say in these forums out of context and paste them in other forums and attack you when you don't know to defend yourself.

After reading an interview of Jay Little -published in 2008- (yeah, I agree, news in FFG forums are slow, lately), Jay mentions that his favorite Fan WFRP product was Dave Allen's 'A Compendious Guide to Old World Coachmen'.
Where can I find this? Googling only gave me the link of the interview, not the actual guide. Anyone know anything about this? Dave, I know you read the forums, any clues?

That's more logical, but still, it would cause many problems with my group, if I ever did that.
First, it would be rather suspicious for the PCs to see his double. Even the players (not characters) would be intrigued by the double and would want to follow him (which is against good RP, but my players have trouble metagaming). Following Kastor could alter a bit The Enemy Within campaign. The significance of Kastor isn't explored until well after the third part. Also, there are some very funny encounters that the less you know about Kastor, the more hilarious they are. I am refering to the chance meetings with the cultists.
The PCs will also be curious why the Kastor is in that town. According to The Mistaken Identity, Kastor was probably travelling to Ubersreik (what a coincidence), because the 'inheritance' was a house on that town. What a coincidence that Ubersraik is 3rd editions 'adventure hub'... This revelation might cause the pcs to do unecessary investigations in Ubersreik. The inheritance is a McGuffin used to drive the plot. So any investigations would be unnecessary and might bog down the plot.
Off course all the above could be plot hook for a master GM (so, not me), but could also significantly dillute The Enemy Within campaign.
-
SPOILERS FOR 'THE ENEMY WITHIN'
It would be highly unlikely for a Kastor-look-a-like PC to receive a note that was addressed to Kastor because:
1. Couriers do not deliver notes according to facial features, but according to names. The courier would be looking for a person NAMED Kastor Lieberung, not for a person LOOKING LIKE Kastor Lieberung.
and to a lesser degree because
2. For the mix-up to occur, that would imply that both Kastor and the look-a-like PC reside in the same town/village which is a big coincidence. (On the other hand the meeting of the PCs with Kastor's body in Mistaken Identity is another big coicindence...)

(after this I played 'Rough Night at 3 feathers inn'. This is a 2nd edition adventure, but it was rather easy to convert to 3rd edition. Not sure if I should propose this to new GMs).
After this I plan to play the Winds of Magic adventure and then I will try my converting skills on The Enemy Within campaign.
Actually 3 Feathers is First edition from a billion years ago, like TEW. .
You are right, but I used the Plundered Vaults version which is v2.
-
I think what you are trying to do is MADNESS!
Convert that HUGE adventure to another SYSTEM and another TIMELINE? Impossible.
People havent managed to convert TEW from 1st to 2nd EDITION, and you are suggesting an even harder conversion? Make a sanity roll!

Spivo, my PC's somehow are so strong, they usually take down mosters before the monsters got a chance to use their A/C/E. So, whenever possible, I try to use A+1E on the first roll. Just to make things a bit interesting.
[These are the PCs that managed to kill Shulman on extreme range. He never had a chance to use his spells that i spent 2 hours learning how to use them]

Who was Olga's husband then? Was he a famous Saponatheim, or he was never mentioned in any sourcebook? How did he die?
-
Here is what I do. Other might propose different solutions/answers
1. Nothing special if the crit is done to a monster. Just remember that monsters (usually do not suffer fatigue), so translate fatigue to wounds (if any).
If the crit is done to a group of henchmen, then translate the severity wounds to extra wounds and ignore the text of the critical (basically crit for a group of henchmen is just extra damage)
2. Yes they do, if they meet the stat requirment. They even get normal action cards if you wish. I am not sure if i read this in GM toolkit, but monsters may get one normal action card per expertise dice.
If you dont have cards available, you can photocopy them, borrow one from a player, use universal head's cheat sheet (no link at the momment), or
3. You remove the lower iniative order of the monsters. Remember that initiative order is rather fluid, and as a GM you can assign any monster to any initiative order. You are not bound by the previous round's order. Same goes for the PCs.
4. I believe it's 2520. It's a year earlier than the date of the Storm of Chaos. The date, 2520, ir reference somewhere in the rulebooks, but it's referenced in a rather obscure place.
Check out this timeline. warhammeronline.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline
The alternate timeline at 2521 (age of reckoning) is a reference to the MMORPG if I am not mistaken.
I am not sure what is you dont understand about the maps. The provinces?

Where is it stated that Bogenhaffen Baron von Saponatheim's mother is called Olga? That would settle it, but I can't find it.
-
I second that, especially since I am going to play DotR. On the other hand, why not use it, as is? Is it too incompatible that breaks down the 3rd edition canon?
-
I wasn't aware that they were brothers. I thought it was a distant cousin or something. Is this canon?

His profile says that if Sigmund is asked about Bogenhafen, he states that he rarely visits the town. Why?
But the second question remains unanswered. Why does the Saponatheim lordling in Edge of Night 'rarely visit Bogenhafen'?

and I just spotted a typo there! I should have written 'Every night he would insert it in the party slot'

First was Esdevium Games and now it look's like Games Lore is also saying that on the 6th december are all Guides & Vaults coming to stores. So this must be true.
That doesn't say much. All UK stores, including Games Lore are being supplied by Esdevium, so Games Lore is just basing their release schedule on what Esdevium reported.

Haha, your replies are hilarious. Mostly because the OP is a player in my campaign, and I suppose he was looking for sympathy which he got none!
Secondly, did you spot the ROBUST reference in his post!
www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp
Kidding aside, when does a chaos star equal an extra symptom? When his check generates more challenges than success, or when he get more success than challenges, but still less than his severity rating?
