  1. There is a major hole in the information given for the infamous Inquisitor Lord/Rouge Trader. In the Rogue Trader Timeline it says he disappeared into the rifts of Hecaton in 201 M41 while in the Radicals Handbook it says that he fought in the Angevin Crusade and disappeared in 011 M40. Is there any clarification of this by any of the developers or in another source?

  3. Does anyone notice that throughout the halo regions there are stars that have certain similarities with Komus? The biggest examples are the Processional of the Damned and Concainid in Rogue Trader. Also in the short story Nightfall in legends of the space marines there is an anomaly known as the Black Sun that seems to transform and corrupt the planet of Sarastus. I think that the Tyrant Star is not as singular an entity as we are meant to believe. Any thoughts?
  4. A lot of your theories go along with my own theories on the tyrant star. The link with the 7 daemons and the halo devices especially. I do not think it is a weapon however. In fact I came up with the idea that an ancient race used a combination of warp-craft and technology to escape the destruction during the last days of the war between the Old Ones and the C'tan. It is the gestalt form of this races entire psychic echoes neither a part of the material universe or the empyrean. They sought survival but instead turned themselves into something completely different and far more terrifying. I also believe that Komus is not the only one of its kind, but one of a number of entities called the Archaona. The 7 daemons are used as conduits to the warp during the process. The Servants of Twilight are humans that have been dominated by the Archaona to steer humanity into becoming this gestalt entity so they can truly endure forever. I also got the notion that the Phaenonite faction is influenced in part by the Servants of Twilight and move to force the use of the Archaona Process. 6. yes I have that one and I am using it in the campaign later
  7. I want the finale of my Campaign to be at concainid and before that a trip through the alenic depths. My theory is that Concanid is a giant Yu'Vath construct that is slowly awakening the other constructs throughout the koronus expanse. I am having a bit of trouble working out the details though. I know the Alenic Depths are where the Rak'Gol are supposed to be from but anyone have any ideas what else might be in there. Apparently Wrath Umbolt went there and it is described as a place where souls are stolen.
  8. I am trying to brainstorm what stats and abilities would fit the Culuxus and Callidus assassins since the vindicare and eversors are taken care of in Ascension. Any ideas?
  9. A part of my campaign is going to focus a lot on tech heresy, specifically the work of Umbra Malygris. I haven't found a lot of info on him or his works so far outside of the dark heresy books. Anyone have any ideas on what kind of stuff he might have made or collected in the Altar of Genocide?
  10. greetings to all. the 4 story arch long campaign I am running is gonna be using the tyrant star a lot. so I am curious to what theories people have come up with. My own theory is incredibly longwinded and I probably have been over-thinking it so if you spot any major holes in the logic let me know. My idea is that the tyrant star is one of a few phenomena found across the halo stars and the koronus expanse. If you look at the processional of the damned and concanid you can spot quite a few similarities. Also in the short story Nightfall in "heroes of the space marines" one of the main elements is "the black sun" that drives the planet of sarastus into madness and decay. Anyway, the tyrant star is a gestalt form of an alien species that sought to find a way to survive the harvests of the necrontyr and the enslaver plague that swept across the galaxy millions of years ago. Using both the warp and technology, they collected their psychic presences and became a new entity that exists neither in the material universe or the warp. I call them the Archaona. This alien race had left clues as to how other races could do the same when genocide threatens them. The halo devices along with granting immortality also show visions of alien vistas and other things so I decided that the halo devices have formulas, schematics and other things inside them that can show the process to create Archaona. Looking at the Yu'vath, I theorize that they are another race that found out how to transform their race into an Archaona to escape destruction oduring the Angevin crusade. Anyway there is my theory and it makes sense to me anyway. Any other theories?
  11. I don't mean to burst a bubble but I kind of doubt that FFG are going to reveal the origins of the tyrant star. It is meant to be a mystery that GMs are supposed to make themselves.
