I have a question about start of castle for each house.
Normally when you move all of you units off of a castle and don't put down a power token u lose control of the castle as you have no power tokens or units there.
Is that the same for the start off castles as when you look at the map (2nd Ed) there is what looks like a power token printed on the map for each start of castle.?
Is that so that you can leave your home/start off castle and still own it.

My question is if the Imp player has a leader is captured with a ring on it.
Dose that leader get released if u then Get another one but this 2nd one is in carbonite.
As they are 2 different types of rings but both = the same thing captured leader.
Below is from the Rules Reference book
If a second leader is captured, the first leader is rescued, and
the captured ring is attached to the new leader.
------
A leader with the carbonite attachment ring is still a captured
leader. It can be rescued and targeted by any card that affects
captured leaders.

I would say that any mission card that targets a system that the super laser was used on can not take affect as the laser destroyes the "SYSTEM" and not just 1 planet.
so Luke wont find Yoda as the system (not 1 planet) has been destroyed as stated on the laser card.
so when u place the destroyed system down from that point on there is no system there for the purpose of missions.

What do you mean with doesn't give you anything back? It enables you to use bastions as factories (once per round). This means that you can deploy new units in systems without a factory, but with a bastion. That's a huge plus in my book, as you should already be building a lot of bastions as a space marine.
OMG.........I did not think of it as using them as factory's even when it said treat them as factory's

I was blind to that part... thanks..
-
How dose the action upgrade card Recruitment Worlds work.
it says - While resolving this order, you may treat all your bastions in the active system as factories, reducing your deploy limit by 1 for each bastion you have in this system.
I don't see the point of a card that reduces the deploy limit but dose not give anything back

Still alot are still seeing the decloak as an action when its not. if it were you could get a 2nd chance but as its been pointed out its not an action and its not in the action phase.
I like the idear that the ONE means you pick to DC and the Direction. if you canr DC then you then move on to reveiling ur Dial as u had tried ur one direction so now need to move on the normal reveling of ur diel then your normal action.. BUT remain cloaked.
I like that thought. the ship still gets the 4 Dice for defence and will have a focus token or evade on it too.
might have to try it like that next time i use it to see if that works better.

The card says it's not an action or maneuver in order to keep it separate from the Execute Maneuver step and Perform Action step.
It's just decloaking and "reappearing" in real space somewhere unexpected, and I think FFG have created a nice little game mechanic to simulate this effect.
Sorry, the 2 forward is not a boost BUT IT IS a normal 2 forward "maneuver" as it states on the card. Following the normal rule for maneuvering.
So my under standing is if you pick to do the 2 forward (as part of the decloak) and would over lap another ship and as it is classed as a maneuver (stated on the card) you would still be cloaked but would stop pumbed into the ship. again stated on the card you can not decloak if you would overlap a ship but still follow the rule for doing the 2 forward maneuver.
Then you would reveil you manuever diel do that and then get an acation "BUT" as you would still be cloaked you can not shoot. as during ur decloak 2 forward maneuver you end up pumbing into another ship but dont decloak.
No - if your manoeuvre template overlaps then you don't decloak, so the move does not happen and you stay where you are.
My question is: if once you have declared you are decloaking and then if you cannot perform the manoeuvre you wanted (i.e. cannot barrel roll left), whether you must perform a barrel roll right or do the 2 straight or if you can decide at that point not to decloak.
The card state "A Ship cannot declack if "IT" (meaning the ship) would overlap another ship or an obstcle, "OR" if the template would overlap an obstacle token.
So as you are doing a 2 forward maneouver (following the normal rules for doing a 2 forward maneuver) you move up bump in to the ship but do not declaok
And as to your question. the 2 forward is a normal maneuver where as the 2 barrel roll is just that . 2 diffrent option both with diffrent ruels.
2 forward follows the rules for any normal 2 forward maneuver
Then there is the
2 Barrel roll follows the normal rules for the barrel rolls (with the Added part that u can not decloak if the tamplate pass's over an token.. but on BOTH options you are in a new location/position but STAY cloaked.
I think if you do the 2 right barrel roll over another ship and can make it to the other side then u end the move on the other side of the ship but you can not decloak as ur template passed over it but the ship did not over lap the other ship.
but with a 2 forward you over lap then u are classed as bumping into that ship. as you follow the rules for maneuvering 2 forward.

If you state u r decloaking (spending the cloak token) but find out u cant DC in the direction u wanted. do you still have to decloak but in a new direction as DCing is not classed an action and there for cant pick a new action like u could for doing the normal barrel roll action ?
like when u do a normal barrel roll u say u want to BR to the right but find u cant where ever u try to along the stated side.
You there for get the action back and get to pick a new action (in FAQ I believe)
hope I explained my meaning right.

yer it happened twice to a friend.
My 3 shuttel's 2 by 1 formation and he landed on the centre of them, then following turn he thought i was going to go forward and turn. but i did the 0 red manouver. and he did a 2 Spin around but could not go there

so he could not shoot my 2 damaged Shuttels and they all got a dice vs him and killed him.

I was woundering what happens if a ship would end its movement with its base ending on 3 other enemy ships and each have the Anti Pursuit Laser.
Would all 3 get to roll 1 dice each vs the ship or just 1 ?
and then move the ship back untill its nolonger over laping any ship.
Card reads
After an enemy ship executes a maneuver that causes it to overlap your ship, roll 1 attack die.
On a hit or critical hit result, the enemy ship suffers 1 damage.

Thank you guys for your help

Remebering that even if u use a 'Free Action' or a normal Action you can not pick the same action twice in 1 round.
like u cant pick focus and then pick focus for the 'Free Action'. even if the 'Free Action' if given to you from another ship.
As you would be getting 2 of the same action in the same round.

I was just thinking what happens if a ship takes hull damage in fight and then the following turn gets 1 shield back (R2-D2 / Chuewy Card) and is on 1 hull point left, and then i use the Sabotuer skill in my turn to turn over a face down card and its the Direct hit one ( the one that dose 2 damage)
Exmple
X-wing 1 shield 1 hull point left.
I use Sabotuer and turn over a face down card witch is the one that cause's 2 damage.
So dose the Xwing just lose 1 shield or dose he lose the last hull point ?

Hi
I was looking at the wording on Deep Red.
Whenever you install a Caissa program,
you may trigger its click ability without spending click.
dose that mean u only get a free move when you install the program
Or
do u get to move them when ever u want as long as deep red is in play ?
-
thanks

I was thinking it might by that way but hoping it was not

On Retrieval Run do you ignore the memory cost of the program that u install from RR.
Maek a run on Archives. If successful,
instead of accesing cards you may intalls
a program from your heap, ignoring all costs.
on the FAQ when talking about the Dinosaurus it refurs to Memory limit as part of the cost.
I hope i have got this right

FAQ copy
If the Runner has no free MU but a Dinosaurus that is not currently hosting an icebreaker, he can install an icebreaker on Dinosaurus without trashing a program. Declaring where a program is hosted is part of the install action, and so the memory cost of the program does not need to be taken into account.

This came up in a game last month and i was looking at the wording of Test run.
Test Run
Search your stack or heap for a program. Install that program, ignoring all costs. Shuffle your stack if you searched it. When this turn ends, add the program to the top of your stack if it is still installed.
Scavenge
As an additional cost to play this card, trash an installed program.
Install a program from your grip or heap, lowering the install cost of that program by the cost of the program trashed. They played Test Run then used Scavenge to trash Garrote and to re-install it, Witch is fine.
But what i thought was because of the wording on Test run. Because it is still installed dont you have to put the program back on top of ur deck as it is still installed at the end of your turn.
its was played as being left in but wanted input on this from anyone that has come acros this before and played it diffrently.

Hi
What happens if the runner has no cards left and scored and agenda winning the game
But vs the Jinteki ID Megacorp "Whenever an agenda is scored or stolen do 1 net damage"
dose the corp win due to the runner having cards left and taking 1 damage
Or
Dose the runner win for scouring the agenda before the effect of the Jinteki ID Card.

Thank you for the answers

Thx
I had thought it was that as making a new server each time flet ad bit too much and a waste of ICE.

-
in the rule book it says u can only have 1 asset or Agenda in a remote server at any time.
If you score the Agenda dose it stay in that server meaning u cant place any more agendas or assets there now so to score a new agenda u will need to make a new remote server.

Hi
I am getting back into this game and trying to teach a few friends but have forgoten most of what i was tourt.
So i have a few questions if anyone can help me sort this and if i miss anything or miss spell anything you need to awanser the question i will finr it if i can.
1/ On the Ice Data Raven, Dose the runner get 1 Tag or end the run as soon as they encounter the ice or is that only if he fails to be the trace.
It looks to me that he could end up with 2 tags and then pass the ice.
Bbut my mate useing the schorched eath on me to kill me is not a happy feeling

2/ There is an Ice bracker (Crypsis I think) that says pay 1 click to add a counter toice
(use counter to brack Subs on Ice)
If i had say 4 counter on it can i use them to brack the sub on the ice with out needed to beat the Str of the Ice. or do i need to also beats it str even thow i am useing the counters.
3/ When the runner makes a run the Corp gets to rez card on remote servers not just Ice, can he res Agendas ? or is that only for assets like the minning corp and other such things.
4/ The corp has the option to do the pay 3 clicks to clear Virus Counters.
Dose this Wipe all of them off all card. (Mediume, Dataer Sucker, Paraisite and Crypsis)
Say they all had 4 on each and read to do a run on my next turn. the corp starts his turn and then spends all 3 click to wipe the VCs dose that remove them all.
Iif it is then i guess i should not of stacked them so much

OUCH
