In our last game my Uncle had encountered the Enemy -Monster called the Sky Screecher. The card says that it your attack roll is lower than your craft you are automatically defeated. It will remain here until it is killed. So does that mean you have to be the Toad or a character with very low strengh to defeat this Enemy -Monster in a battle. How do you play? Thanks Freybourne

I have a couple of questions about the dungeon? My father is a pain in the neck so as we were playing and i drew the dungeon keeper and i had at least 4 followers and I had 5 gold. I lost 4 followers and bought them all back.....felling it was a ransom. My father said it was a penalty and I lost all my follwers and it was up to the next charector who landed there to have the oppertunity to buy the followers? We over ruled him and played it like a ransom. How do you play? Also, I had a follower (Dragon) that I had Dominated with a spell.....What happens to the Dragon? And what would happen to the follower (Dragon) if i had it under anything that could enslave an enemy such as the staff of mastery? Does it come back to life or does it go back to the discard pile and do you have to fight it or does another character that lands there have to fight it ? Thanks, Freybourne

I disagree with everyone on how they use the Gladiator. It says you may train a follower and you may use these followrers in a battle if you want and if you lose your opponent can kill one of those followers. So you are either trained or not trained. You can train the Guide and Pixie But followers such as the Unicorn or Collosus already have the plus one so the Gladiator can't teach thenm anything. It's really a rule they have to fix from the company. It's can be read many ways. I'm all for balanced in the game. You have a few guys that are just too powerful and ruin the game. My nephew had someone I forgot who. Couldn't get starteded and we were 2 hours into the game and purposely died in the deserst then rolled for his new character (I have a number chart and we roll a 30 sided die for the character) he got the warrior and within 40 minutes he was tied for the lead in strength. Guys that powerful ruin the game. Freybourne

A big fight broke out at our last game. The Ogre killed the Giant and about 10 moves later was attacked by a stronger character and wanted to Domainate the Giant so he would be stronger in the Battle. I told him that he had to declare if it was Dominated after combat or it was considered a trophy that his move was bush league. My arguement, in which he was over ruled was that a trophy was something that you killed... like a deer head mounted on a wall. To Dominate means the Orge spared the Giants life and is forcing the Giant to be his follower. You can't dominate something that is dead. I think I'm right but my brother insisted I ask the experts. Freybourne P.S. Thanks for all past help

If you cast Gust of Wind and an object is blown on to a space occupied by another character can that character claim the item? Thanks, Freybourne

Dam, thanks for answering all my questions. I have a differenae of opinion on the Monk and I would like you to elaborate more. We always play that the Monk can't carry a weapon becasue it is illegal for him to use it but after hearing your arguement it makes sense. He can posses a weapon he just can't use it so cast the spell which will work on the weopen that he can't use but you get rid of the spell. Good idea. But using an item such as the Sword of Life.... how is that not a weapon? I forget what the sword is called the Blade of ? it gives you two to your Craft. It's a sword? He can't use weapons. Although it's a different type of Combat it's still a battle. I don't understand why you say he can use it. In the inner region we always play that all weapons are illegal in any roll that isn't combat. Example.. if you are going down the Strength Road the Unicorn gives you 1 to your Str. but Collosus gives you +2 to battle only. The Magic Belt gives you +1 to Str. but the Runesword gives you plus one to battle only. In my opinion any weapon that the Monk uses to boost his Craft that has an Edge should be considered a weapon. Please elaborate, Freybourne.

My brother wanted to cast Slow Motion on himself so he could move 1 space and pick up a lot of good stuff. I said he couldn't becasue it said you had to cast the spell on any char. meaning your opponent. He said any Char. meant any Char. including yourself. Doesn't it have to say You may cast on yourself or another player? Thanks for all your help on all my posts, It's such a great game, Freybourne

A popular move in our games is right before the Valley of Fire to cast Shatter on someones Talisaman. My only problem with that is if you have a Conceled Pouch which is supose too Concele the item in the Pouch. and you can't steal the item or the pouch in a fight and the thief can't steal it how can you cast a spell on something that you can't see? Thanks, Freybourne

There are 4 Talismans in the game. Early in the game the Prophetess cast Shatter on a Talisman to get rid of a spell. Then the Monk had two Talismans and turned one of them to gold with the Alchemist. The Monk and the Prophetess each had a Talisman. What happens to the Talisman that was turned to gold and the Talisman that was Shattered? Are they gone from the game or does the 4 Talisman Cards represent the maxium number of Talismans in the game? This turned into a big argument. I said that the game had 4 talismans represented the maximum in the game. My argument was that I could be getting slaughtered in the game and 3 Talismans were already out of the game and I find the last one and run to the City and turn the last on to gold and no one could win. Or I could find all the Talismans and turn them all to gold and hide the last one in the Concealed Pouch and if would be very hard to lose the game. Thanks, Freybourne

We were deep in the game. The Monk and Prophetess both had a Talisman and I wanted to get one and take a shot at getting to the Crown of Command. I only had 10 Str. but I figured maybe I can slip in and get lucky but I couldn't beat either one of them in a fight to take thier Talisman so I went on a Warlocks Quest. The Quest said to take a life from another player! It is an impossible quest. What am I supposed to do? Keep fighting them until I die? What happens if , if I go on the quest and draw a card a few turns later and gain a Talisman....do I still have to complete an impossible quest? Do I keep fighting them till I die? What if the quest says to lose 2 lives of my own and I only had 1 life left....am I dead? Ofr do you heal first then go see the Warlock? Another thing. Suppose I am on the Sentinal in the Middle Region. I have to go to the City to complete my Warlock Quest. I roll a 1. On the Curse Glade is the Magic Belt and the Orb of Knowledge. Can I move 1 and get the Magic Objects or do I have to go down the stairs? Thanks, Freybourne

The monk is not allowed to use weapons but what is actually considered a weapon? We always play that a weapon is an attack object....... Sword, Axe,Flail,Dagger....ect. But what about the Staff of Majesty? Techinally it is a weapon....it's a staff but you aren't really using it physically in the combat? We play that the staff is an enchanted object and not a combat weapon so the Monk can use the weapon. Is this how everyone else plays? Also, the Monk in our last game had low craft and only could cast one spell? (Thanks to me and the Rod of Ruin) a nasty little toy. Anyway, he drew a spell that enchanted a weapon. I forget what it was but it gave him +1 to a weapon. Can he cast the spell on his hands becasue techinaclly the Monks hands are his weapon or does he have to eat the spell for the whole game since he can never cast it becasue he is not allowed to use weapons? Thanks, Freybourne
