  1. I'm sure there was somewhere in BC corerules quite similat text from OW corerules but could not find it. Might be wrong but have put it to work and it haven't broken the game.

"When making an Opposed Focus Power Test to resist a psychic attack, a psyker may select a power level (Fettered, Unfettered or Push), and add his resultant Psy Rating to the Willpower Test to resist the enemy power. However, if resisting at Unfettered or Push level and his roll is a double, this generates Psychic Phenomena, in just the same way as the attacker."

  2.   Finally got my EotE books to start filling skills, talents etc etc for this spectacular program. Next I have to talk to my players do they want to continue playing WH40K or jump to SW universe.

They are not so much WH40K fanatics as I am  :P Although they like Grim Dark of 41 millenium they don't seem to get their heads around some concepts.

But everyone of us grew up watching Star Wars the Original Trilogy, reading comics and playing with the action figures  :D so I think they might like EotE much more.

  3. Nowhere that I have seen in the core book (the only one I actually have) discuses Ogryn and armour

Checked Ogryn stats in OW CRB p.372 and there they at least have been given Flak Vest as an armour.

Might be they have Ogryn sized armour, might be they have used it as representing Ogryn scavenging bits and pieces together to get some kind of protection.

    PS.

Not like Stigmartus Ogryn Brute, in DW: The Achilus Assault p.73,  who has Flak board pieces riveted to its skin.

  4. I would say it would be quite a **** move from GM to deny Smite from targeting inanimate object.

    example, Necron Portal

GM tells, after successful skill test, that only thing that could destroy it is Psychic Powers. Too bad Librarian only happens to have Smite, as for some reason his Force Sword was destroyed when he battled Necron Lord.

So no way of destroying it. Mission Failed, Renown reduced  <_<

I might be a **** GM sometimes but  not an *******.

  5. But the only way of making a Tachyon Arrow into a daemonic weapon is to first turn it into a Legacy Weapon first, though. Or that the GM somehow (strangely) deems it to have emotional resonance and connection to a god/daemon (the non-weapon "Legacy of Slaughter" thing out of the corebook), which is highly unlikely I'd believe. So that'll probably not happen anytime soon, or at all.

Are you talking about Legacy Weapon from Tome of Blood or meaning Legacy of Slaughter in making Daemon weapon in BC CRB?

But still in my opinion the answer is "No"

It just makes it more difficult to make into a Daemon Weapon but it's still viable. And Tachyon Arrow could have emotional resonance with Khorne as it is weapon made to kill things or connection to specific daemon it was used to kill.

But this is just me spouting Heresy in the morning with my cup of coffee.

  6. I have original IIUP, Damocles Gulf Edition with Tau Propaganda (about how they eat your babies and such), Departmento Munitorum Manual and Imperial Infantryman's Handbook (IIUP+D.Munitorum manual in one book). So that's why I recognize it immediately.

They are good for my OW campaign I'm running

  7. Maybe the Kroots have been hunting and eating Crotalids so that's why they have little by little developed Psyniscience to detect where/when Crotalids are migrating.

This brought also Idead of Kroot Hounds using Crotalids Warp jumping ability but only for short distances.

    "You Idiot, there's nothing heraaaaargh"

Last words heard before Kroot Hounds devoured every soldier inside fortified bunker

Hmmm, Idea of Kroots generating Ork like gestalt psyhic powers. I like that  :)

PS. Crotalids can be found in Mark of the Xenos p.62

  8. When dodging blast damage a character must BOTH succeed on a dodge test AND be able to move out of the blast radius with a move equal to his Agility Bonus. Somehow I doubt those meganobs could do it. ;)

What was Meganobs Agility 30-ish, I doubt, like you Herichimo, that they can get out of that Blast (5) radius.

Also just short time ago noticed that the Blast effect area is mentioned as Radius not Diameter. (English not being the main language) This epiphany made Grenades, Missiles and all Blast weapons more dangerous than me and my group used to play them.

    mUepq.png

So those Meganobs would have to move 5 meters to get out of the Blast area if they are in the dead center of the explosion.

  9. Found it ^_^

    Black Crusade p. 47

Alternate play styles & starting experience

"For every +1000 starting Experience, each character should also increase their starting Infamy Characteristic by +3, and their starting Corruption Point total by +5. If this puts their Corruption Points above one of the Alignment or Mutation Thresholds, they should spend all starting Experience before checking Alignment and roll any Mutations last."

Well Luthor Engelsnot mentioned the "additional xp" in his description of this little thing, my mind went to this rule. These "additional rules" are the little things that are usually just skipped over

So No, you don't gain this everytime you brake 1000 xp limit.

You only gain it when you make starting* character who has more then +500/1000 starting experience points.

*Possibly new character if GM isn't sure how much Infamy/Corruption to give, only my interpretation so don't  take it to heart.

  10. Saying that your character won an honour duel against another PCs chapter is ok.

Brings into mind me and my friend in one game.

Twin-Brothers, like night and day in personality, who were chosen to Dark Angels. My character, level headed always looking best way to deal with the enemies, Inner Circle Initiate. Friends character, hot headed always looking trouble, Ritual Duel fighter (winner by using extra xp to choose the outcome).

One other player, Space Wolf, also bad tempered, Ritual Duel Fighter (lost the fight, chose to roll the dice, bad luck -_-  )

I think you can guess who were little bit on each others throats from time to time

  11. Yes, everyone under the blast radius takes damage. Unless they succeed in Dodge test  :D

    Blast (X)
Many missiles, grenades, and some guns create an explosion when they hit. When working out the effects of a Blast weapon, anyone within the weapon's blast radius in metres (the number in parenthesis) is also hit. Roll Hit Location and Damage individually for each person affected by the blast
