This for some reason game into mind, on a bigger scale of course under the main barrel

But doesn't that make sense in some cases? How does one become a Thousand Sons Sorcerer if they're A). Not a sorcerer and B). Not part of the Thousand Sons Legion? BYE It makes sense in Thousand Sons Sorcerer (as how to obtain Rubric of Ahriman? Unless Ahriman still want's to make Rubricaes) but how about Warpsmith/Berserker/Noise Marine/Plague Marine. Everyone might have started as normal marines (Chosen/Champion) but at some time gained Khornes/Nurgles blessing, Fabius Biles loving treatment or training under Warpsmith. So how to incorporate these advancements, they gain, to old Characters? Just splat them to characters and hope for the best/worst? Edit: Last text to more coherent

Special snowflakes are special. FFG brakes their own rules when they make premade Regiments, like they have said in official Errata. Direct quote from Errata: "Question: Some prebuilt Regiments have Standard Regimental Kits that differ from the guidelines for creating a Standard Regimental Guardsman Kit on page 68 in the Only War Core Rulebook (such as the Kasrkin, on page 20 of Hammer Of tHe emperOr). Are these Standard Regimental Kits correct as listed? Answer: Yes. Certain intentional modifications were made to the equipment lists to reflect the nature of these regiments."

We shall see.

So we play waiting game until FFG publishes their Imperial Navy/Aeronautical book. Thanks.

Ok, Shield of Humanity has new Vehicle Trait called Anti-Air (Rudimentary/Advanced). I understand how it works but can't find anywhere what is standard penalty for ground vehicles firing at aircraft. Only penalty I found from Only War CRB, was from p. 38 Flying: Low Altitude (-10 to BS in addition to any normal penalties from range.) Other was from Final Testament, p.144 Vehicle Trait: Flya. But it has its own explanation of modifiers you get. -50 to BS when shooting with weapon not meant for AA fire or -20 to BS when using designated AA weapon. Is this again something that FFG is printing rules against Traits before they have that specific Trait in the game? Or is this just case of specific rule blindness.

Naaaah, They already got Two Sabre Gun Platforms (Lascannon variants) and their Chimera. That should balance the fight
-
Out of my head but memory says that you can wield Hellgun/hellpistol with normal charge pack but halve the clip size.
-
Got my own book today from my local Gamestore (Finland). I can feel it burning in my backpack but work prevents me from checking it in more detail. Well tomorrow, By Emperors willing, my players will have official stats for their Defence bunkers Sabre Gun Platform. I made my own stats for them so I'm pleased they made official rules for them. Will see how FFG has made them to work. They are going to need Emperor's Blessing if they are to survive what I have in mind for them. Sergeant went down last session (burned Faith Point to survive point blank shot from Hellgun) so we shall see how everybody else fair

Thanks for the mental image

Both Tauros and Tauros Venator can be picked up and carried by Sky Talon. On the sidenote, from Imperial Armour Vol.8, direct quote "Elysian drop regiments have adapted the Tauros for Airborne operations, by stripping out any excess weight so it can be easily transported inside a Valkyrie or below a Valkyrie Sky Talon." @Alex Yep Tauros has Front AV 10 in TT.
-
@Pearldrum Tauros Venator has Multi-laser and Lascannon as weapon options. Normal Tauros has heavy Flamer and Tauros Grenade launcher as weapon options. (Seems like they post Lascannon also as option in Lexicanum. Will have to check imperial Armour Vol. 8 - Raid on Kastorel-Novem) Venator's weapons should be twin-linked as they are in TT variant. Calgor Grims provided stats are quite similar to "Final Testaments" Tauros. Few vehicle traits are missing, like Galvanic Motor. But all in all nice stats.
-
@Pearldrum1 HappyDaze posted on Only War forums that Shield of Humanity has stats for Tauros and Tauros Venator. So now I'm playing waiting game until it gets to my local game store in the Scandinavia.

Nice rules and stuff. Only thing tingling my hindbrain is in "CF Chapter Advances" and specificly "Deathwatch Training" Shouldn't every DW marine start with it, like it is mentioned in p. 36 in DW CRB So why should CF pay for it when everyone else gets it for free Sorry if this was already asked and answered

Heard you got good Mutations

Routa-maa replied to BrotherApothecaryTiberius's topic in Deathwatch Rules Questions
Yes, all bonuses stack. Also remember that maximum bonus/penalty is +/-60 -

Hope they add Sluissi as a race if they make book for techs Have been gorging through the EotE CRB and it has sparked the old Star Wars flame from smoldering ash to bright bonfire. Hope I can get my game group to play this game I like White Wolf's Exalted but when you have played it too long it starts to repeat it self.

Psyker trait and resisting psychic powers
Routa-maa replied to Vanity Evolved's topic in Black Crusade Rules Questions
Take also into account that by the time playes gains Bastion of Iron Will, he has to have taken Strong Minded that gives him re-roll to any Willpower tests he failed to resist that affect his mind. @BrotherTearer Might be my bad reading or not fully understanding your point also. Was your point that using Psychic Power with Opposed Toughness/Perception/etc test might work better. Hitting someone who has Bastion of Iron Will, it is not so. My Point was that when Psyker has Bastion of Iron Will-talent, then by the rules he gains 5xPR to any Opposed Test. Not just to those utilising Willpower. -
You must have meant Tome of Excess. As Helbrutes have stats there, in the Gates of Moment section. But oh well, one can only dream. Army of Decimators might cure my melancholy

Psyker trait and resisting psychic powers
Routa-maa replied to Vanity Evolved's topic in Black Crusade Rules Questions
Sorry BrotherTearer but noticed this little line in Bastion of Iron Will "The character adds 5 x his Psy Rating on any Opposed Test involving defending against the Psyniscience Skill or Psychic Powers." So for example with Bastion of Iron Will you get your PRx5 to Opposed Perception Test when some uses "VILE REVELATION" againts you. (Only Opposed (Characteristic) test I could find with quick glance) -
I know but as they are making rules for making your own Engines, why not include possibility to make player Helbrute (Dreadnought). As player of TT CSM army the new Helbrute is Beautiful
-
Just popped to my mind. Would it be nice to FFG include in the "DIY Daemon Engine" rules way to make almost dead/incapacitated player character into a Helbrute. I think my groups Heretek would be more than pleased if they would, as he is starting to tire always getting new legs for our groups Berzerker. Almost every hit lads into Berzerkers legs, I think he is going through his 7th pair.
