  1. Like habitation area with those Imperial dignitaries. Little Oxygen deprivation might not affect them adversibly
  2. FFG shall reveal and release it when they are sure they have enough material for it. No sooner.
  3. And like I made in my previous post here: "even among those who can speak it, it is only a second language. It is used only formally (as in pious benedictions), rather than as a casual language." So no battle plans talked in High Gothic and such. Blessings, Rituals and such might be but not your everyday conversation.
  4. Edge of the Abyss p.82 forward. First some dark Psyker powers and then p.85 Sorcery mechanics.
  5. Well I think it's more the other way, every Space Marine recruit is in some level fluent in Low Gothic/Homeworld language. Then those poor bastards brainpan it stocked full of Gibberish called High Gothic. I think that as most Imperials talk Low Gothic then it's easier to talk with it as not every IG commander would be fluent in High Gothic. Chapter master: "Caedimus diluculo!" IG Commander: "What did you say?" Chapter Master: "sigh, We strike at dawn" IG Commander: "Why didn't you say that before." (Quite pointed example, but might be what would happen)
  6. Yeah but Ascension Combi-weapons are on the line, Combi-Melta, Combi-Plasma, etc etc. Secondary weapon only having one shot magazine. Tome of Blood has Combi-weapons for BC characters. Again usually bolter with 1 shot melta, plasma, etc etc. One of my players got himself in RT a Twin-linked Bolt pistol, Tech-Priest was more than willing to accept his challenge of making it (Not so puritan). Needles to say he had to use both hands when firing that sucker. He got the idea from "Green Hornet" where Villain wields "Twin-linked" Desert Eagle.
  7. As I don't have my books with me right now, can't verify. But wasn't Wyrdling over this range, "Tainted (page 26): The mutant option for Tainted should only allow Explorers to select results of 74 or lower, not 76 or lower."
  8. "Cover is for Weak!" - Last famous words of Chaos Champion charging Sabre defence platform line. It wasn't pretty and it wasn't the first or the last time same player did something like that
  9. Sage shall have "calloused hands" trait. Many years handling books have made their hands skin hard enough to resist paper wounds, anyone else risks cutting their hands when reading or handling books.
  10. Also remember to check what Talents you gain from Cybernetics/Bionics. Example one gave you Iron Jaw (don't remember what it's name was), but that doesn't count towards your alignment. Remembering: You check Alignment at every 10 Corruption you gain. But Mutations checks are differend for Human and Astartes characters. As I don't have my books at hand right now I can't check.
  11. You would have to make 3 Agility based test with Flame, Spray Weapons. 1. To see if you're Hit (Agility) 2. To see if you can Dodge it (Dodge) 3. To see if you catch fire (Agility) Happy Rolling people. Edit: Whoops forgot that this was in RT side of the Forum. Have been playing OW so much that forgot that RT had only Flame. But still you have to make those Three (3) rolls
  12. Are you sure? Are you absolutely sure? Is there a reference to one somewhere? I don't know, but I'm imagining da Orkz Galaktik Posta' Servis now. Have to continue this as this just popped in to my mind. Big Mek with huge, and I mean big as a planet, Shokk Attack Gun and huge supply of Snotlings. Grot oilers and what nots helping scrible ork messages tied to, before mentioned Snotlings, that are then shot through, also before mentioned, huge Shokk Attack Gun. Presto Ork Postal Service. And back to the post. Lets see. Take one Imperial vehicle, Undamaged or Damaged, it doesn't matter. Remove any unnecessary things, like warning labels, cushioned driver seats but remember to leave warning lights and speed meter. Add Tablespoon of Ramshackle/Extreme Volatile/Ponderous/etc etc to it Sprincle all over with propa Orky Wepons, The bigger the better, as long as they make loud noise. and finish with Red Paint Job.
  13. Nice ship you have there MKX. It would be very unfortunate if it "blew up"
  14. Don't forget that Cybernetics also give +2 to Toughness bonus on said body part (only once mind you) So Cybernetic right arm would give +2 to toughnes in that area.
  15. Rule of Three. Don't remember page number but I have used it quite extensively. You only have three spare clips/grenades/missiles/consumables unless you requisition more. And Requisitioning more clips/grenades/missile/consumables gives you only one (1).
  16. I could think one group paying handsomely if you can procure live speciment. Beast Houses
  17. You must notice that this Talent requires player to have Mechanicus or Techmarine Implants From Techmarines starting Talents and Traits, (sorry don't have page number here): "The Techmarine begins the game with the Mechanicus(Techmarine) Implants Trait (p.134)" So he has Potentia Coil, Electro-craft, Electoo inductors etc etc from the beginning. The Flesh is Weak Talent: "This Talent grants the character the Machine Trait (p.133) with Armour Points equal to the number of times this Talent has been taken." So Player 1 reading is in my terms correct.
  18. Yes, for some people, this is a huge issue. It's practically a trope. It's the reason I don't really like having character options like this in the base game, or as a base assumption that the players can take. It should be assigned by or taken in collaboration with the GM.It's really not an issue with roleplaying, it's an issue of personality type. There's no shortage of people in "real life" (not to suggest that players gathering around a table (electronic or otherwise) isn't "real") that are a nice enough sort but turn into self-entitled draconic red-tape paladins with an inferiority complex the size of Finland as soon as you give them any kind of position of authority. Suomi mainittu, Torilla tavataan. Well I decided to remove Support Specialisations from my game for just the reason that I wanted players to start from the very bottom and not being "We are the Best of the Best". Well one point might have been that one player was drunk when players made their characters and he said his Commissar shall shoot other players character for insubordination. It was very close we all didn't throw him out or into cold shower. He has redeemed himself after that with his good playing of the teams Sergeant.
  19. In any formal setting (which any setting would instantly turn into when graced by the presence of the Emperor's Angels of Death), I think the proper usage would be "Astartes", such as "My Lord Astartes". The Space Marines are almost always (with some notable exceptions... Space Wolves, for example) described as being quite formal, akin to a knightly order, and the upper echolons of society would likely mirror this in their relations with them, such as actually prefacing every name with the persons proper title. I don't have the books in front of me, but does Space Marines even start with Low Gothic? I'd expect that they'd mostly run around speaking High Gothic all the time, or whatever Chapter Cant they have. High and Low Gothic are starting skills for Space Marines. Again taken from Lexicanum but this is my one best source, after many of my books, for anything relating to WH40K (with reserve of course): High Gothic (or "Tech") is the hieratic tongue of the Imperium, used in the titles of ancient institutions and organisations (such as the Adeptus Terra). It represents an older language and is regarded as holy. In the Age of the Imperium, it is the equivalent of Latin or French during the medieval age. High Gothic is also known as "Tech" as it is a version of the language in which technical rituals and ancient works are recorded. This developed during the Dark Age of Technology. It derives from the common tongue of the time, an assimilation of English, European and Pacific languages which developed over many centuries in the American/Pacific region. This was the universal medium of written record until the Age of Strife, and was spoken as a first language by many and as a second language by almost everyone. Its idioms and vocabulary now appear archaic and mystic, and many of its words have acquired religious significance over the years. It is the language of the Tech-priests and of forbidden books. High Gothic is unintelligible to most Imperial citizens. It is only the language of important adepts and members of the Inquisition, and even among those who can speak it, it is only a second language. It is used only formally (as in pious benedictions), rather than as a casual language. Low Gothic, a bastardised version of High Gothic, is the common tongue of the Imperium. Also wanted to point that you should not mix High Gothic with Lingua Technis (as there are some points that mention it being languate of Tech-Priests) Lingua-technis or Techna-Lingua is the official language of the Adeptus Mechanicus. It is a binary language consisting of a burst of static emitted through the bionic implants of members of the Mechanicum which cannot be understood by unaugmented humans. It has been optimised for quick communication of technical data and servitor commands, and is generally full of internal self-references and allusions to secret knowledge only known by members of the Mechanicum. It it rarely used outside of the Mechanicum, although elements of it can be found integrated into the Low Gothic languages of highly industrialised or technologically oriented cultures. Deciphering Lingua-technis has long been a priority of the Inquisition, but so far even the most rudimentary syntax has yet to be established.
  20. Not a single Proven Plasma weapons in BC/OW. Sorry Only Proven weapons MP Lascannon & Krak Missile (OW) plus Lightning Claws & Bedlam Staff (BC) Like Ciaphas Cain noticed that few of his fingers were missing. Although he didn't notice it , if remembering correctly, until some one pointed it to him, Jurgen possibly.
  21. In Lords of Mars one Charcter has cloned himself, to gain an apprentice. Other Tech-priest scoff this idea as this only creates "emotional" bond between him and his "offspring" that might crunch his efficiency. So I wouldn't say they have to make vow of chastity as more metal they add to their bodies the more distanced they become from human emotions.
  22. Deathwatch characters rolll 18+1d5 for Wounds (so the Wound range is 19-23). So you don't anymore add your Toughness bonus to it like in DH and RT.
  23. This is propably the best I can come up. Off course He/She seems like normal human but the end effect is what is in my mind. I propably would make it so that when said Daemonhost uses it's power or decides to cause havoc it can turn on it's fear. Althoug it would propably make everyone feel uneasy when around it.
  24. Talent: Sound Constitution, increases your Wounds by one. In advance tables, Sound Constitution (x2) means you can buy it twice per Rank. XP cost included. Most you would be able to buy from General Space Marine advance table, but there are also few in Deathwatch advance table and in every specialisation advance tables. Everytime you buy it mark it in your talent list with numerical value behind it, example Sound Constitution (5) means you have bought Sound Constitution 5 times.
