  1. Nope, Talents don't cost money, even if their description hinges on some kind of augmetic. Most Mechanicum-specific Talents are reliant on those standard implants every TP gets for free anyway. Like Morangis said. TP already has the needed Cybernetics and Implants (from mechanicus implants), he just need to learn how to use them effectively with Talents like Luminon Blast or Maglev Transcendence.
  2. My god had forgotten all this. Half-Eldars and what not. Marines being Psychotic murderers just kitted to kill and not the "noble" ones now days. have to rummage my attic for these books
  3. I like the idea of Deathwatch being independent (only in the most thinnest sense) from Ordo Xenos. Watchcommander chooses how to train and equip Kill-Team. Inquisitors of Ordo Xenos provide the Intelligence where to send said Kill-team, with possible Ordo Xenos agent along. This agent could give commands to Kill-Team if mission parameter would require that. Yeah Abraxes was pulling quite a many strings to make this happen. But he wasn't the only laying claim on Soul Drinkers when you think that one Sergeant who devolved into Khornate Berserker. All in all, Soul Drinkers gene-seed was quite stable not including their hyperactive Omophagea,
  4. I went through one calculation that made correct sum, at least in the Meganobs case, Warboss was differend beast when I tried to grapple his numbers. 2d10 + (Base SB + Strength Bonus from Mega-Armour) x2 + Unnatural Strength Bonus + Crushing Blow 2d10 + (5 + 3) x2 + 4 + 2 = 2d10 + 16 + 4 + 2 = 2d10 + 22
  5. I know, but do you want damage or slaughterfest? Formations gain 1 hit per DoS and +5x Unit Strength bonus to Challenging (+0) Ballistic Skill test, there are going to be hits. I count this reprecenting them pouring enough fire to make scene from Predator 1 (link here)
  6. Now now cps. Don't put words into other peoples mouth. You seem now to keep flame going for fun. Let's all wait and see what the future will bring from FFG and their game development.
  7. Well, DW supplement Honour the Chapter has Astral Claws as playable Chapter and we know where they went. "Couch"Red Corsairs"Couch" Jericho-Maw Gate was discovered in 755.M41, Achilus Crusade started 777.M41, Badab War happened around 904.M41 (relevant for Astral Claws/Red Corsairs). Couldn't find or remember if there was any dates when Soul Drinkers turned renegade so hard to say. He might be questioned, Mind Proped to know if he is Corrupted, Executed, Made Blackshield, etc etc
  8. Your math seems to be correct. Just want to point these as I have my book in front of me right now, Table 5-2, This table assumes that the Rogue Trader employs servants, negotiators, and factors who are practised in finding mercantile services and establishing compacts in haste. A Rogue Trader and his retinue can either wait for their servants to complete the search and arrange purchase, or spend their own time to assist rather than undertaking other activities. A successful Challenging (+0) Commerce Test (or another skill appropriate to the item or service sought at the discretion of the Game Master) made by an assisting player character can speed the search and ensuring negotiations. A successful test reduces the time taken by one step, such as from months to weeks, or weeks to days.
  9. Hmmmm, can I borrow this with my own interpretation, I think I can work this some how to my ongoing OW campaing.
  10. I would say that now your just overcomplicating things. I go with written rules and not analyce them too much. And they have been simple enough for not making combat to bog down when I try to remember how many shots they can score.
  11. Well, you can't please everyone. I remember the Rage what went up inside fanbase when WotC released the 4th edition. Some found it to their liking, and some (including me and my gamegroup) not. Pathfinder was more to our liking so we just moved our campaing to there and continued with it. Note we have played D&D since 1st edition, so we have seen the changes. Same can be now said with FFG's attempt to make new version of DH. We have had nice time playing BC/OW as we like them over DH and RT and I have made my own ruleset base on BC for character development in DW as many of my group like playing Space Marines but didn't like the rank system of previous WH40K rpg. We were quite taken back when we heard that FFG was going to make it Incompatible with previous material. So news that they were going back to the drawing board was quite suprise and it was nice to see that they weren't going to scrap whole thing but keep somethings and polish others. So we shall wait and see how FFG manages to put up their new edition.
  12. I was only able to skim through but this was IMHO quite good. And like previous commenter said, It gives nice touch when everyone has his own "money bag" and not collective.
  13. OK, if they have let Broodlord to get inside Marine's Charge range, they're going to have bad time. Most of the time in my games it's more like. "I think I saw something in the Auspex" "How far?" "100 metres" "Ok we have two rounds to shoot it" "Emperor's blood, it's fast!" Blood bath ensues Those things are quick, stealthy and own Big pointy claws.
  14. They Errated it. It's one and the same. Power Scythe (page 165): Both Humans and Chaos Space Marines can use this weapon. Remove “Human and Legion” from the weapon’s title and the sentence “The Legion variant is a Legion weapon and follows all the rules for the use of Legion weapons” from its description.
  15. That picture is Heresy. Just like few pictures i found from DeviantArt today. also few more: Here Here I think I'm going to introduce my skull to my power drill. "SCREEEEEEEE!!!"
  16. Yeah, other kills you quicker. There are 7 Genestealer variants and 2 Broodlord variants, in published WH40K RPG. And everyone has been butcher machine up close-and-personal, Broodlords especially. Even Alien-movies Xenomorphs pale in comparison to people slaughtered by Genestealer in my games. My players hate/fear them more than they hate/fear Chaos Space Marines. In one of my RT games they had something lurking them through their own ship. It was only a Hullghast but they were sure it was Genestealer. The fear, the panic, Glorious.
  17. I used BC Tech-Use Crafting Rules for players RT Explorator to create before mentioned Twin-linked Bolt Pistol. It didn't take too long as both Bolt Pistols were good-craftmanship and Explorator only had to get firing mechanism and synchronisation right. He had a few snaggs on the way though. Must have been some Warp Gremlings campering around after "few" warp travel mishaps. In which nothing had to do with "Rose" (perception enhancing drug in BC) snorking Navigator. For whom the twin-linked bolt pistol was going.
  18. Also found in DW Mark of Xenos. But I would recommend not using Genestealers until your Acolytes have serious fire power. Been there, Blood bath.
  19. "God's be damned! My Minions have again licked the mango adhesive from my Melta-bombs." -heard just before Khornate Champion was run over by Leman Russ Battle Tank.
  20. With sligh possibility of light Blood Rain.
  21. Just some how get your hands on Seeker Chariots of Slaanesh or Hellflayer from Tome of Excess p. 83-84 "Let the harvest begin!"
  22. Well if your using normal Scythe, one opponent with Power Weapon could destroy it. Also Power/Force Scythe doesn't have Felling. Unbalanded give -10 to Parry. 2-Handed weapon All in all, I would allow my players to take it if they wanted.
  23. Sorry if it came out little rougher than I might have meant. Wrote that bleary eyed, dead tired so I might have had few miss firing synapses.
  24. Aww Gamgee don't be such a sour puss. For WH40K lines they are making the Faith & Coin and No Surrrender. So this is not so deadline as you might suggest. Just thingking about DH, almost every Hardcore DH player was crying that DH was dead but suddenly FFG delivers news that they are making DH 2.0. Just wait and see.
