I agree that auto-fire is a problem and something needs to change.  I like your idea fine, @SkyJedi, but give it a try for a session or two and see how it plays.  I think for some characters in my group, it would have made auto-fire too risky to use, while for our main gun-guy, it wouldn't have slowed him down much (though some slowing was very much needed).
If I ever run FFG SW again, I'm tempted to completely remove the multi-hit capability of auto-fire and trade it for something more narrative.  For example, you could spend the advantage to suppress a minion group, causing them to risk getting hit with the weapon's base damage if they roll any threat on their skill checks until your next turn.  Guess I'd have to figure out how that kind of change would impact the talents that are in the game, too.  Uhg, those rules-light narrative RPGs my buddies like are looking better all the time.
Honestly, auto-fire didn't need to exist.  They could have just given those weapons a bit better damage score and been done with it.  Also, why can't I hit more than once with a regular blaster if a single combat check can represent multiple shots?  I guess with minion groups you sort of get multiple hits because of the way the damage overflows into the next minion, but if that's intended to model multiple hits then I'm back to just making auto-fire weapons +X damage against minion groups or something.
Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled internet argument!

The system would be imo better off without talents, will be interesting to see what they have done with the dice, because the dice of SWRPG are great, while nearly everything else is far to Dnd-infected, heavy on clumsy mechanics, scattered across a million career and splatbooks books.   A more simplified version which is still more complete than the star wars core books would be most welcome. Though I admit, I want to play Numenera first once we get bored of star wars, especially as the efford system from Numenera has a wonderful narrative aspect as well.

If the entire party is sneaking, I would use an opposed group Stealth check.  So the best character at sneaking is the one that rolls, difficulty based on the best possible "detector" that they're trying to sneak past, and other characters trained in Stealth pass a boost die.  Maybe give out a setback or two if some non-stealthy characters in the group are wearing heavy armor or something.  But I don't know what the actual rules are, that's just how I would run it off the cuff!

Would you be willing to share the un-flattened Photoshop files?  I would be willing to try and run them through my adobe pro and see if I can make some smaller searchable PDFs.  I can message you my email address if you are.
I did run your files through and did some OCR on them.  They're searchable now, but they lost some quality.  I'm hoping that if I had the original files I could keep things nice and clean while also adding the search ability.

    *Extremely Minor Thrawn Spoilers below*
I finished reading Thrawn about a week ago, which has inspired me to jump back into Star Wars RPG.
One ship that I always liked and wanted plans for was the Imperial version of the Gozanti cruiser. I wasn't really satisfied with any of the existing Gozanti deck plans since they didn't do the "freighter" part of the description particularly well, so I ended up making my own. Hat tip to http://ravendeviant.deviantart.com/art/Gozanti-05-Schematic-599079580 for the Ortho views.
Freighter Configuration: This is what I imagine the Imperial refit of the basic armed freighter to be. Since the Imperial one seems to be packing less firepower than the original civilian one, I figured it got a speed boost instead.

Assault Carrier Configuration: I'm not really sold on the idea of such a light ship being the basis for an ASSAULT carrier, but here it is nonetheless, with dedicated areas for starfighter CIC and supply. This design probably works fine as a fighter carrier for convoy escort duty while retaining enough cargo space to carry a decent amount of cargo as well.

Patrol Ship Configuration: This is the variant that I imagine the Blood Scar to be. I am of the opinion that the Gozanti platform is too small to be an effective long-period patrol vessel, but here's my best guess as to what such a vessel should have. I added back the deck guns removed from the civilian version and added a light turbolaser to give it some upgraded punch against what pirates/smugglers would normally have access to. Troop space and a brig have been added to better serve the intended policing job. Finally I added spots for 2 VCX type shuttles to dock since I really can't imagine a full sized Lambda being used while Thrawn was serving on the Blood Scar.

Troop Transport Configuration: I imagine the troop transport "Construction Gear Transport" Sempre to be a further modification of this variant. The normal version has space to accommodate 80+ troops and heavy equipment, while the "Construction Gear Transport" can move 60+ units of "construction gear."

Imgur compresses the images pretty badly, so here's a PDF version of these deck plans if you want to use them for any of your games: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByJJ7lvKCoPXN2F6ZGlJb0Y4eTg

Alright, another image from my friend Pete.
This character is called Elsana Veer. She is a Zabrak bodyguard for this crime boss. Crime boss she ends up leaving after teaming up with my character character Conrad Reed. They end up working together... quite well.
She is a very skillful combatant and also very guarded and calm. I had to butcher the quality of the picture in order to get this here.

Hey all! Absolutely love this thread and I'm so, so impressed with all of the wonderful art that everyone has shared here. I recently commissioned art for the four PCs for My Kind of Scum, the PbP game that I'm running here in the beginner forums (link is here if you're interested!).
The first one up is Lang Shinqo, a grizzled ex-lawman with a troubled past (Mirialan Marshal)

Next is Caizu, the lovely Chiss con artist with 'uncanny luck' (Chiss Gambler / Force Emergent)

And now we have the stone-faced Dro-Kar, a ruthless Nikto bounty hunter who's quick to violence (Green Nikto Gadgeteer)

And last but not least we have HM-6T6 (though he goes by SixtySix, and sometimes, Mittens), a bulky Corellian Engineering Corporation starship maintenance and repair droid (Droid Mechanic)

I'm now in my final shakedown of 2.02.  Everything's in, but I made some changes to the way I'm doing certain things, and these changes could affect a number of places in the code.  So, I'll be playing around with it for the next few days.  I've already found a couple of issues that I've managed to fix.

Well, I've updated the release notes, finished the documentation and FAQ and created PDFs for them, and just did a new round of updating the translation files.  These are things that I do right before a release...
If I can get through tomorrow without doing any more tweaks, I'll do the release on Sunday.  Also, I've decided to make this one 2.0, since I've added so many things to it, and changed the appearance quite a bit with new fonts, etc.
No promises, but look for 2.0 to be released on Sunday.

I've been testing 1.8 on a Win10 machine for the past few days.  It looks like all Win10 issues have been resolved.  The machine is also set to 125% dpi, so I'm also making sure everything looks good with a non-standard dpi setting.
So far, I've found little things that I've been fixing.  I've also improved performance of various parts of the generator.  For instance, changing career or specialization will cause an immediate update, rather than have a 1.5 second pause.  Loading a character is also faster.
I'm still doing this, so when I stop finding things for a day or two, I'll do the release.

I think I have everything added from Forged in Battle.  I do need to add some gear pictures and the like.  So, it's slowly getting there...
Also, if anyone here in in the San Francisco Bay Area, I'll be at DunDraCon the 17th through the 20th of this month at the San Ramon Marriott.  If you'll be there, I'll probably be running a SW game or two in open gaming, so stop by my table and say hi

Hahahaha! Funny you should say that. I actually do have a webcomic! But it's not Star Wars related. It's called Mystery Babylon and I've been working on it for over 6 years! (Jeez!)
I think it would be pretty amazing to draw some of our Star Wars RPG adventures in comic-form. Hard to find the extra time, but that's something I would looooove to do!
If I actually do end up drawing something, even if its only a few pages, I will totally post them here. Or a least a link!
(P.S. You guys are way too kind)
