  1. in 2ed talisman and pandora's box, on your turn you would draw x cards and x spells, , during your turn, you could encounter any of these card yourself to self buff , or hold them over to anouther players turn, when you could play them after they moved, if you still have any card left at the start of your next turn all card and spells are discarded and draw x more. also you could play all spells on any players turn over riding the one spell per player rule.

  2. in my opinion,

the knight card states that he "may" not attack a good player,

the word may, suggestsa choice and thus can choose to attack any character, but not choose to attacka good player.

the Lycanthropy card states must which infers no choice, so the knight has no choice to either attack or not attack, thus his choice is taken away, and must now attack

  3. we also had the card "dragfon spirits" in play

the wording on this card is

    Stranger encounter number 4

once per visit, you may either take a dragon scale in this region and place it on this card, or take a dragon scale on this card and place it on any space in

this region that does not already have a dragon scale. The dragon spirits fade to the discard pile if 4 dragon scales are placed on this card.

so to me this breaks the rule of only one scale per space as this specificily states that there can be 4 scales on this card.

so in that case what happens do we draw one card per scale or one card in total and what card? do we ghet to choose what scale we encounter on this space of do we enounter every scale on this space?

  4. Q: Can an Immobilised Character be attacked by another Character?

What if the Wizard lands on the Knight's Space in that turn and attacks him? Knight is Immobilised and "might be Evaded", but can he be attacked? If not, he gets an advantage from being Immobilised.

I say yes, the now immobilised knight can still be attacked, but howeverm, he can not defend himself, (unable to act) and thus cant roll his attack roll, he only gets his base current value. also if defeated and forced to loose a life, he cant use any armour or other protection devices as he is immobilsed

  5. if an effect has an activation such an t he orb of knowledge, and prophetess, ten both effects can be triggered, example

1 draw a card propetess and orb triggers, (players choice as to what triggers first) can discard the first card using propetess ablility, then if dont like that card, then the orb ability triggers

same would go for drawing extra cards, both effects would trigger on the one drawing

  6. we play it exactly like it s on the card, you pay the amount 3,6,9,12,15 miss x turns 1 2 3 4 5 or more, but get all strenght and craft at the start if card is removed before end of training no loss, as the character has already decided what is happening paid for it, received the benefits and has to suffer the loss

  7. I land in a draw dragon scale space, already on that space is an ogre strength 5, (encounter number 2)  a demon craft 10(encounter number 3) and i draw a Cadorus preistess (encounter number 1)strength 3 craft 3 which i must fight in psychic combat . what order do i fight them in?

I said that the order was that of the numbers so priestess first ogre then demon? as per encounter number ruling, however, other argued that all craft fights join and all strength fight join.

  8. Sorry is this better?

player A's turn land on creature combat ensues

player B  casts lightning bolt on player A,

player A now in combat is stunned and can not do anything does not get to roll in combat

creature rolls as normal compare two strength scores highest wins

player A cant use any items to prevent life or reward taking

and if player A wins player a cant chose a reward or take a life as that is "doing something

Anyway, this "stunned" status where you can attack but you can 't roll or take a reward, is something unheard of in Talisman (and probabily preposterous)

well your not fighting, just getting beat up on your stunned not fighting back, hence no combat roll.

also, as you are stunned, you cant win

nor use any items to prevent the other guy from winning should his combat score is higher than your strength

  9. player A's turn land on creature combat ensues player B  casts lightning bolt on player A, player A now in combat is stunned and can not do anything does not get to roll in combat creature rolls as normal compare two strength scores highest wins player A cant use any items to prevent life or reward taking and if player A wins player a cant chose a reward or take a life as that is "doing something"

  10. last night  i was playing the wizard strength 2 with sword (+1 strenght in battle) encountered the ecor, strength 2 if your strength is higher than 2 the ecor will run away one space clockwise. can i decide not to use the sword in combat engage in combat then cast energise, (double your strength value) would the ecor then run away of would we fight my now 4 strenght to its 2 as the evade did not happen at the start?

and can a character choose not to wear/use armour or weapons in any combat such as in highland where if wearing armour you loose a life?

  11. i use the following turn sequence for pvp combat

1 character declares either psychic combat or battle

2 defender declares any evade abilities including evade spells resolve evade actions

3 attacker declares intent on casting combat spells and places them face down on table

4 defender declares intent on casting combat spells and place face down on table

5 defender spells are turned over and act first (any inturuption spells can be played to counter the defender spells)

6 attacker spells are turned over and act next (any inturruption spells can be played to counter the attacker spells)

7 combat happens dice rolls and done (if allowed) combat resolved

8 winner declares reward (on reward choice events happen)

9 loser activates any reward counter measures (if any)

10 reward either happens or does not happen

11 on reward events happen (if any)

    12 end of combat

  12. we play it that if it refers to your craft, its your total craft, same fro strength, so brainwave double your craft value if total craft is 10, the total craft is 20, same for strength, psychic blast, warhorse and the like. but only his total craft/strenght, not from items, objects or followers

reasoning, the player is no longer at the level when created, but has experienced and grown with development so the troll that has increase his craft to 5 that suddenly has a brainwave would now have a craft of 10 not 7
