  1. I use the published adventures kind of, I like to read them and use ideals I get from them. I also love to use the NPC's. It always worries me that I'll put together a group and at least one player has already played through the adventure. That's why I like to cannibalize them.
  2. I see the back ground you choose for your Arbiter could be the most resent one. Meaning you went to the Schola but the hive world is what shaped them. makes since. thank you.
  3. I was reading throught the book of judgement and it states that all arbites are recruited from the schola progenium? how does that work when in character creation you can choose any background for the arbites, am i missing something?

  8. So I thought I would share with you guys what I do with FB. When I start a campaign, I make a FB group to go a long with it. I invite all my players to join and we use it to share game ideals in between sessions. I post updates about the campaign and news about what is happening in gallexy during there camp. I wanted to see what your guys/gals thoughts were and how you communicate with players in between sessions.
  9. I love your ideal, I think it's great to have that drama between the DW chapters, making them choose if they are going to side with there rebel home chapter or stay loyal to the DW.
  10. That would be soooo cool to play an Ogryn!!!
  11. On another note, I was disapointed it was IG, I really wanted an ORK book
  12. I think the one corebook and supps to augment is a great ideal, but it has been done and IMO it failed. Example NWOD although I love the game, it was hard to convence a new player to buy the core book and the supp to go with it. NWod corebook 25, vampire book 40 so this comes out to be 65 which would mean it would cost more for a new player to get started. In my experince demoing both games I have seen more people get up from the table and buy a 40k corebook then I ever have seen them buy a core/supp set. The point is, when I start a game with a new player and he/she startes to like it, they don't have to feel like they are getting taken to the cleaners to get started, one book one price your done. Lets face it, it's a business and busness is about growth and getting a bigger customer base and I have seen this work better with this method of publishing. FFG is catering to new players not to us hardcore games, they want more people playing. There are people out there that may not like the other lines so this way they can pick there favorite flavor start with and not feel like they are being taken. I wonder if the 60 dollar price tag is set to mirror that of a video game?
  13. I have volume one of the Badab war and it's beautiful, but pricey. If you want to save a lot of money I would use the Warhammer Wiki's they have all the source you need. I was just on there the other day and some one just updated all the badab stuff!!! Although I love my book I wish I would have just used the wiki's and BOL's online supp.
  14. Is the gates of memory in one of the FFG books►
  15. So I’m not sure if this has been discussed but I wanted to see what you guys/gals think. I was thinking is it out of the realm of possibility that all the warp phenomenons in galaxy are linked together like warp gates. Meaning a warband could enter the screaming vortex and come out the eye of terror. I feel that with the nature of the warp this is possible and would explain how the different legions have spread throughout the galaxy. Is there any cannon to support this or is this just best left as a home brew fluff►
  16. SM on SM action is brutal, but the players are loving it. I love how they are being augmented to other chapters while they waiting for the rest of there chapter shows up. I kind of wish I had them be DW and some of them be from the rebeling chapters, so there would have been that drama, who should I fight for the DW or my home chapter.
  17. I am currently running a camp during this war. the PCs are all novamarines that have been helping the firehawks in there missions. they are currently getting ready to board the Red Harbinger and retake it from from the Mantus Warriors while the rest of the Fire Hawk fleet is engaged with the Mantus Warriors fleet at Galen.
  18. I would love a second edition because I would not buy it. It would end the production of all the old stuff and I would be able to complete my collection. I would just run the old stuff and hope that prices drop on the old stuff and I would pick it up on ebay. I believe a second ed would kill the game.
  19. I feel that this going to be great!!! Core or Sup it doesn't matter to me, I use all my core books as sups for the games I run. I'm really excited to see the setting and where they are going to put it.
  20. I am currently running a game set in the Badad War and the PC’s are Novamarines. I just had them make characters as ultramarines and told them they don’t have access to the DW advances. That’s all I did and they are loving it.
  21. And that is exactly what I have decided to do. make them normal SM's.
  22. I see the Ultramarines as being the fundmentalist, meaing that they are always studying the Codex much like the Bible. They would be insulted to see other chapters not following it to the letter and it would make perfect sense that a battle brother would rat out another because the codex commands it. I also assume that a digital copy is built into their suits so they can call up the text in their helmet read out. I don't have any canon to support that but it seems logical.
  23. I believe it is, but if that's the case then I'll just use the rule as descibed and give then a set amount as if they were DW. Or give them a bonus for being from the same chapter.
  24. Yeah, I realized that so what will happen is once they get to the City they are going to find some of there crew from the cruizer being held prisoner and one of the crew is an Astropath. So they will have to escort her to the hall of echos to send the message. unfortunately, they hall doesn't have the range to make to the fleet, but they do reach a patrol of fire hawks that are willing to come and rescue them. Then they will have take out the air defenses so the fire hawks have a chance to land. The Second mission: will be recapturing the red harbinger from the Mantis's. this going to take place after the prisoner transfur. still kicking around some ideals. but what I do know is that my Novamarines are going to be working with fire hawks for a while.
