Doc, the Weasel got a reaction from Wedge1126 in One last update to the Begging for XP talent sheets
    Hey guys,
So after a long hiatus, I came back to look at the analytics for our talent sheets, and surprisingly they are still being downloaded at close to the same rate as when I was updating them. That got me thinking that I should finish what I started.
Over the next month (maybe two, definitely over the holiday season) I'm going to carve out some time to finish the Edge of the Empire sheets. Since all the career books are out I can just do this in one go and have them done.
What I'm looking for from you is errata. Some is posted on the B4XP site, but if you know of any edits that need to be made please send them to b4xp-talent-sheets@outlook.com. They will be easier to track at that address.
Right now, my intention is to just finish up the EotE ones. If time permits I will do AoR, and if time further permits then FaD.

    Thank you all,

This is the part where I show up and shamelessly promote my deck plans for the YT-2400.

    ... shamelessly.

As a side note, the ship is by RAW outside the range cost-wise for starting ships. I say either ignore RAW or (what I did) let them have it, but have the cost difference (20,000cr) worth of repairs before it is back to tip-top shape. My group's nav computer still argues with them.

OK, I'm more conservative than most. I don't think just because a character is on screen that they have all 4s, and 5s. So here we go with Characteristics.

    Brawn 7
The first thing we really see Vader doing is lifting a dude up with one hand. The guy is big and strong (and cybernetically enhanced). Plus this needs to be high to handle all the cybernetics in the first place. As Anakin, he was an athletic warrior, so this was a high stat before Vader. This is likely the stat he leans on in lightsaber combat.

    Agility 3
Anakin would have had a 4 here, but Vader isn't very fast anymore. That fight with Obi Wan probably took out a point here in addition to his arms and legs. He still has the high Piloting skills and all the talents, so he's still solid in that arena. Aside from tales of how great a pilot Anakin was, we don't really see Vader do much in this department (and he's visibly slow on screen), so it would be hard to justify it being higher (all those cybernetics obviously went into Brawn). By Episode IV It probably should be 2, but I listed 3 out of Anakin nostalgia.

    Intellect 2
Vader isn't much of a scholar. Nowhere are we shown that he has above and beyond great knowledge of things (he is a good strategist, but see below). He is good with machines, but that can be covered with a high Mechanics skill. Beyond that, though, there isn't any evidence of a high stat here.

    Cunning 4
This is what Anakin was known for: thinking out of the box and tackling a problem from an unforeseen angle. Vader shows skill here as well when he cons one of the galaxy's best con men (though that's easier when you show up with a few star destroyers). Vader is no rocket scientist, but he is deviously clever.

    Willpower 5
This is one that I think Vader developed post Obi-Wan fight. Anakin could be stubborn, but he was also very impulsive. Maybe a 3 for him. Vader, on the other hand, is a force of nature. The only two people who could ever sway him were the Emperor (out of fear and twisted loyalty) and Luke (out of a father's love) ... and possibly Tarkin. Everyone else has to get out of the way. It also ties into his best social skill: Coercion.

    Presence 2
I'm on the fence again on this one. Other than Cool – which he would have a 5 in – there is no evidence that Vader is good at any other skill associated with this stat. Does he have a "Presence," yes, but the way the game represents that in his case in through Willpower(Coercion). It's possible that he has a 3 and never uses it anymore, and Anakin didn't have the stat this low, but it's hard to justify having it higher based on what we see on screen.

I would add an underdeveloped Forsee tree (Anakin seeing the future was what got him into trouble in the first place), and Protect/Unleash (we see him use it when Han shoots him on Bespin).

Part of the issue is that having a hotshot pilot lies in talents, not in the skill. Most of the awesome piloting are special bonuses and actions found in the Pilot specialization (boosting speed, adding defense), and unless you are navigating an asteroid field then the skill itself isn't rolled as often.

If time isn't an issue, and it doesn't matter if the ship appears right by the destination planet or a ways away, then I wouldn't roll it. I'd only have a player roll if timing or precision matters.

In that case, the situation should dictate what happens on a failure.

Problem might be, much of the Rebellion ISN'T a real military, even if some of its high-ranking people do have military experience, while the Empire is a militaristic state. Thus, dragging "bad apples" out in front of the Rebellion's leaders, for a "military tribunal" might be attempted, but I feel many people wouldn't feel like it amounted to something, as if the Empire did it, and the Rebels won't likely punish you, too harshly; they can't afford to, either because you might know stuff, and tell the Empire, in a fit of emotion (once a turncoat, always a turncoat?), and/or because they can't afford to lose people, or look bad, to whom they have. Lastly, they probably won't kill you, either, as then they'd look like the Empire, even if justified.

Of course, I'm not trying to say that the Rebellion is nothing but chaos, or that it can't attempt to police itself, but it often seems a lot more informal than a real government, such as the Galactic Empire, and when they often take up all kinds, to fight their war, they can't be too harsh when they get what they paid for. As they are not a proper military, I suspect they won't get a proper military punishment. Honestly, as I think about it, I am finding it hard to decide. If they lose access to resources, then the Rebellion is mostly hurting itself, by compromising its people, who don't HAVE to do this (they CHOOSE to fight), and they aren't too likely to "get sent on a suicide mission", or some such. My guess, a stiff reprimand, maybe some jail time, and assignment to less critical duties, so they have time to realize what they did is wrong, and nothing says Derit wasn't immediately apologetic, but some time to dwell on how significant an impact one single event, one moment of greed, and lapse in judgment, can have, before going back out, and trying to redeem himself, in his own eyes. If he isn't so put off by what he did, then hopefully someone else, PC, or NPC, will try to have a positive impact on him.

Well, i warned my players about altering canon but they were too stuck in their ways of kissing up to the Empire and  ... how should i phrase it:
They dragged it behind the shed, shot it, burned it and pissed on the burning corpse that was once canon before dropping the ash in a lake of acid.
    Amongst other things they
    1. ratted out the Dac resistance to the Empire (no Mon Cal ships for the Rebells)
    2. had a personal vendetta with Bail Organa and proofed his connections to Rebel sympathisers
    3. hunted and killed Obi-Wan Kenobi leading to
    4. Luke ending in imperial control. (He's 3 years old but Vader knows of him)

The year is 16 BBY, Bail Organa and Garm Bel Iblis are on the run, Mon Mothma is under more scrutiny than ever for her connections to them and the Rebell Alliance as such might never come into existence.
But i know my players, they'll get cocky and start a civil war, once/if they make Moff.

In our campaign, for various reasons, the Luke character never joined the Alliance,  heading off on a very different journey of self-discovery. So the Alliance pilots are all shot down and the Death Star was sabotaged shortly afterwards by its creator. For twenty years, the Empire have tried to get it operational again, as they slowly start losing the conflict and subsequently implode in a messy civil war.   But there's always that fear that the big daddy of all superweapons might come back online at any time, and the PCs will have to infiltrate it and destroy it from within... (taking them with it, obviously No convenient exhaust ports here!)

So yeah, do whatever you think is cool and suits your game.  Just talk it over with the players first so they know what they're getting.

Personally I think that blowing up Death Stars and rescuing Princesses is PC work.
