  1. Ah, okay, so the Rune Golem is added to the unit, and the unit itself basically gains the Rune Golems normal ability. Got it. Thanks for the quick response.
  2. I have a question on the Rune Golem. The army card give him Brutal increasing his threat based on the amount of stable energy in the magic pool. The upgrade card Front Line Rune Golem gives him Brutal when attacking. Does that mean a Golem with that upgrade gets Brutal twice when attacking? If so, then ouch. If not, what's the use of that card? Thanks in advance! Shawn
  3. Page 200, the example for Evade: "He has a Agility of 43 and has the Evade skill with 3 ranks, so gains a +10 to his Evade attempt. He rolls a 56, for a total of three degrees of success (one for succeeding the test, plus two more for rolling 10x2 points lower than her modified characteristic)." I'm not sure how, with an agility of 43 + 10 for the evade, giving him a 53, a 56 is considered a success at all, much less with three degrees of success. Shouldn't this be a roll of 26, thus giving him the success, and 2 degrees?
  4. Yea, here in the Phoenix, AZ area, at least two of the game stores have had copies for several days now. I can't see why CA would be that much different on delivery times, although I noticed Barnes and Noble doesn't always get new game books all that quickly. The B&N here still didn't have it when I was in there over the weekend. Sorry you're having trouble finding it. CW
  5. I can understand that FFG may not be able to put out a PDF of the main rulebook because of the agreement with LucasArts/Disney, but will there be printable talent tree pages available? I know the book says you can photocopy them for personal use, but I'd rather not damage my pretty but pricey book trying to fold it flat onto a photocopier or scanner bed. Thanks. CW
  6. While I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more ships, I don't think the iconic ships, such as the X-wing, Y-wing, Tie's, and the like would fit as well because this game is centered around the fringes of the galaxy and traders, smugglers, pirates, etc. Most of the Rebel and Empire ships will probably show up when the second book comes out. For now, I'd like to see more general ships that smugglers or the like would use, and not 'military' ships. I have no doubt that, in time, we'll be out flying the X-wings, taking on swarms of Tie fighters, but this isn't really the setting for it.

The powers can be upgraded for more points (5-15 should give a good trick or two.). You might want some force talents. They are costed like any other talent tree. It's definatly doable for a starting PC, but your stats or skills will be lower for one trick that dosnt seem super reliable (except for ongoing powers - those seem good.) That's my understanding as well. You don't choose to be a force-user, but you can choose to be force sensitive from one of the other classes. You choose a class, and one of the three specialties under that class as your base. If you want to choose a second specialty, you can take one from your career class for 5 points, one from another career for 10 points, or the force tree for 10 points as if it was an outside of career choice. Humans, if I remember right, can take a second specialty for free during creation, but you don't get any of the class skills or talents for free. You just don't have to pay for the second specialty. I really like how they're handling force powers for now. Yes, you can be force sensitive and have a few abilities, but as a starting character, I'm not sure yet if I'd recommend that since you'll be shorting yourself on other abilities that could be more critical to your career choice. But I haven't made any characters yet, just read through it, so I may be wrong on that. CW
  8. My book has arrived! But, since I'm at work for another 3 hours, I guess I'll enjoy it later.

I have no idea how they are choosing the order that they ship these in. Reading through the list, you have people that got the shipping notice the same day they ordered, while others took days. I got the notice yesterday, after 3 days, but you haven't gotten one after 4, and we both live within 50 miles of each other. Your guess is as good as mine at this point. Hopefully you'll hear from them today! Anthem? Goodyear? Yancy Other way. Mesa.

I live is Oregon. It's kind of hidden. When you click on the store page, there is a line at the top that says something like 'Go to your account page to …….' . It's hard to see, but if you click on the words 'account page', it's a hyperlink to a menu that you can then look up your ordering history, and see the current status there. Hope this helps.

  13. I just received the shipping notice. Arizona, USA for those keeping track.
  14. Okay, I can understand that, but FFG should know when they shipped it, right? It's been showing as 'shipping pending' for 2 days now.
  15. Must be nice. I ordered mine 3 days ago, and haven't heard a thing about it shipping yet.
