@DakkaDakka12, this is what I recommend to showcase the Dictor and Raider:

    Assault Objective: Most Wanted

    1 Valen Rudor ( 13 points)

I’m not dead set on the objectives, but they’re all quite strong in their own ways. If you want to beef Demo up with Tua/ECM, you could and still have a 7 point bid.

I am getting ready to run my firsat adventure and I have a player with this same issue. I could not find any references, so, I went a similiar route as Richardbuxton. I was giving the character a lesser lesser rune, essentially a lesser rune without the augment. Just an implement that can cast spells. In the gear section, I gave the option for Alechical Kit (Which is there) or Minor Rune...I figure all other spell casters can cast as new players, so why the hellnot.

An RPG has different needs from the other games in the setting that you mention. They also lacked (probably--I didn't play them) character creation and advancement too, but the RPG realized the need. Fro many RPG players, a map is a need.

Similar to the one I made for Android, here is a fillable character sheet for Terrinoth

Clicking on the skill tracks changes the ranks from white to green to yellow, so you can display your dice pool for each skill.
You can add or remove a character image on page 2.

The problem is twofold- first the dictor lacks punch, and second this list would be improved by taking almost any other admiral even though Konstantine is adequate.
    Other considerations-
    External racks over launchers
Heavy ion emplament over ion cannon batteries (I get you want to strip tokens. A better way to get rid of tokens is kill the ship they are on.)
Boarding trooper and avenger or ordnance experts over gunnery. Chance of getting 2 close front arcs same turn is next to nil.

I have been working on a slightly similar list for my local Regionals, using Screed of course, but zero squadrons.
I am not a fan of Solar Corona with GSDs, only because, often they get behind enemies. I tend to select Dangerous Territory. I believe also in a slightly stronger bid, you REALLY want to go first. I also use Hyperspace Assault for the reasons you state.

I used to use Screed a lot but then Ordnance Experts came out and I sort of forgot about him.
    No more I say!
393/400. Opening Salvo, Planetary Ion Cannon, Solar Corona
    VSD-II, Screed, GTs, HIE, D-Caps, QBTs   135
    Raider-II, HIE, D-Caps   60
GSD-I, Demolisher, ACMs, OE, Brunson   82
    GSD-I, ACMs, SFO   64
    Valen, Ciena, 2xTIE-Int   52
Not sure about where to place the commander. Should I increase protection by moving Brunson to the VSD or place Screed on the Raider as it is more able to power away and HIEs aren't needed as much late in the game?
Opening Salvo with GSDs adding black dice to 2 red from the front at long range and guaranteeing ACMs with Screed seems fun but other ship heavy fleets may like it more....
Planetary Ion Cannon could be replaced for Hyperspace Assault which is always a laugh with Demolisher or maybe Insidious if I replaced a TIE-I with a TIE-F or Black squadron.
Solar Corona is always nice to get the drop in deployment and keep the braces more protected from enemy accuracies.

First off, nice fleet! I love the idea of getting money out of the grand moff.
But I do have 1 note - I play a LOT of close range intel scan, and will say that it can really really shut you down here. Long range dice are incredibly susceptible to getting cancelled by someone hiding in the dust clouds. Especially if the opponent is using black dice ships that don't mind sacrificing their red/blue range shot in exchange for utter immunity to your expanded threat range.
I can see why you are struggling with reds - you really don't want to play any of them- but you really should be looking at Station Assault or Blockade Run. Both of these objectives give you tactical control of the battlefield and bestow a sort of advantage to you without a clear cut way for your opponent to turn it against you.
-Station Assault forces your enemy into your arcs but can be easy for them to score points off of using a flanker (swapping to grav shift and altering their position can help offset this some).
-In blockade run your dictor and vsd actually are incapable of scoring, but the deep battlefield plays heavily into your range advantage and fact you get to place all the objectives might end up being worth the fact that your opponent can only score by killing your ships.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I ran a slightly modified version of my fleet above and won over the weekend. We ended up playing Fire Lanes and just being able to dominate those objectives really won it for me. However, I actually agree with what Jabbawookie is saying, I still am trying to find the sweet spot in terms of objectives for this fleet.  The RED objective has been a mixed bag for me with this fleet idea (only 4 games so far) I am subbing in CLOSE RANGE intel scan for my next match. It is an objective that only benefits me and my fleet is all RED and BLUE dice anyway. Who knows.
Also, the reason I like the interaction of Tarkin and cards like Defense Liasons/Intensify firepower is it gives me something I like when flying a fleet. Consistent output in terms of firepower (Ships can dial in Concentrate Firepower Command Dials and the token from Tarkin if available for a solid shot. But ships that have the defence liason can opt for a NAV or ENG order if they really need it. I guess objectively, it is very similiar to Thrawn, but I have the ability to do it WHENEVER I want too.
Regarding Brunson and Engine Techs. Yes,  I have used those ploys before. I actually own TWO interdictors and thematically, it is my favorite ship of the game. However, I am trying to do something a little different here. Even without Brunson, the Interdictor is still somewhat tanky, and the Liasons and the guaranteed token allow me to use my Interdictor how I want EVERY turn if needed.

So the below is likely what I will be running in the upcoming battle I have planned....

Also overload pulse and quadbattery turrets actually work well on Vic 2 as you can get the extra blue dice at red range to proc overload pulse earlier

Outside of Tokra's comments, which I agree with, in CC, there is no reason not to spend every available point. There are no real initiative bids in the CC campaign. It is about who has campaign point initiative and then the type of battle taking place. You don't help yourself not using your points.
When developing a fleet, you should have a build plan. Your starting Fleet and then what your fleet would look like at 500 points. Where I disagree with Tokra is that for the first round, you can have upgrade less ships, but with a plan as t what that ship is going to look like fully developed at 500. You are not gonna want upgradeless capital ships on your roster in rounds 3 and 4, when the battles are crucial.
Of your two fleets, I much prefer your second as I can see where you are going with it. Plus, it has some great punch.
