Hi I'm just wondering were all the user adventures are in WFRP v3? Are FFG not encouraging user material. BI had anually scenario compititions and the level of quality was temendous. Am I missing something or is there website somewere that has loads of user scenarios uploaded? I think we need a central resource for everything WFRP V3 like BI used to have. FFG should open up the download section to registered users to upload there material!

I'm looking to start our first Adventure next week, but before I start I would like to know what year we are in. I'm going to print a calendar of that year to keep track of days as we go through the adventures and campaigns. The calendar I'm using is from http://www.gmtools.excelocms.com/calendar.html.

Newbie Players Introduction to the Warhammer World.
GhostBlue replied to GhostBlue's topic in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Thanks for your input. I have ordered a copy of Brotherhood of the Wolf. I'm going to start it this weekend anyone with any other ideas would be nice, I will post it somewhere when I've finished. -
Hi I'm going to be starting Eye for an Eye within the next month, then moving quickly on to the Stormdorf Campaign. I will be running the game with three other players who have no experience of the Warhammer setting at all. I'm looking at creating a small handout maybe 3 or 4 A4 sheets that can be made in to some sort of pamphlet. The idea behind this would be to give this to new players weeks before they turn up to there first adventure. This way they can digest the material before they turn up to play. The pamphlet would contain things like:- Short but interested history of the empire A quick update of the current state of the empire that the players will be playing. Small but detailed map of the empire. A synopsis of game setting, to try and get the players to understand the feel of the Warhammer setting. Maybe a very short story that really highlights the feel of the Warhammer world. Section for D&D players, to understand the key differences between the two games. (So not to expect a hack un slash game) A very condensed / summery of how the game works or plays. Basically the main idea behind the pamphlet is to get the player in to the game setting before he has even started playing. Now if anyone out there could help with this idea? I'm looking for anything that could help put this together over the next few weeks or so. Things that would be useful:- Links to website pages that may contain articles or user written content that may be used. Anyone with ideas for any of the points above. Maybe pointers to books that could be useful in helping me write some of this stuff. Interviews with Jay Little that someone may think useful. My problem is I know the type of thing I want but I'm not the best when it comes to creative writing. Any input would be very grateful. John.

Yo great podcasts... just finished listening to the second episode, I've been looking for someone to record their adventures as I will be starting my first sessions very shortly. Just one thing I picked up on when listening. Not sure if you're doing this or not, but you need to use the white fortune dice more for advantages. So, for example, when one of your players wanted to stand on the cart to get a better vantage point and use her bow, it would have been a perfect time to add a white fortune die to the pool. This gives a better chance to succeed but you still can add the black misfortune die for any disadvantage you may see. This way the dice will do the work and you will have a fair outcome of the situation. This is used for many different scenarios see page 60 of Roleplay Rulebook. e.g. Player sneaks up on an opponent add one or more white die, but player is stood on a crumbling wall so has poor footing thus add a black die or more. Also I found a great set of reference sheets on another post, in my opinion the best version of quite a few available. http://www.headlesshollow.com/downloads/games/WFRP3_v1.pdf Hope it helps if you haven't come across it already. P.S when are you thinking of putting episode three up on the website.

Hi ya all. I've been looking for links to any Videos recording of groups playing WFRP3. I think this would be a great idea for Novice Players and GM alike, it would give you an idea of how the game flows and also be great to see how the group interacts with the game. This could give you an idea of if your barking up the wrong tree with some of the rules or not. I would like to see something from FFG themselves as a tutorial guide, but also from anyone out there. There were some videos of groups recording demo / beginner adventures from WFRP 2nd Edition. What do you think?

I think if we could setup the website with all version of WFRP available to try and get the feel of a full Warhammer community.
