Logic, first and foremost, must dictate stacking.

If Technique A requires a weapon, and B requires a different weapon, of course they don't stack.

If Technique A requires A katana and gives an Action you may take (note the capitalization), you cannot trigger other Actions on the same roll.

If Technique A requires an Action using a katana, and B requires a spear and 2 Opportunity to trigger, you cannot use both, even if you can pay the Opportunity points.

Now, if you are making a basic attack, and have two techniques requiring Opportunity spends, and can afford them both, and their other requirements, then yes, they both can trigger, provided basic logic of their effects doesn't preclude it.

So iajitsu and striking as air stack

You can't resheath for free; it requires 2 opportunity.

The advantages to Iaijutsu techniques are the lethal nature of the strikes - they're worth sheathing for. They're Good. Not Gamebreakingly good, but good none the less.

But I'm trying to figure out why it is good. Anyone can draw a sheathed weapon and strike. So why iajitsu needed it anyone can do it normally too?

IIRC, They've said that items requiring an action don't stack with each other, but abilities that add advantage triggers do (at separate cost each).

So here with iajitsu you could draw as it requires an action and the other one states if you a check you can stack. Or are you saying because both have katana you cant?

Drawing can be done free on a successful Initiative roll. Drawing or sheathing is an incidental in skirmishes.

There are separate action lists for duel/clash, skirmish, mass combat, and intrigue scene.

    Iaijutsu REQUIRES a sheathed weapon.

So it makes iajitsu pointless if you can just draw for free. As iajitsu is just draw and strike...

Have a page number for incidentals

  5. So in SW FFG and games like D&D they have s list of incidental actions and actual full actions.

I see an example of making an attacking says with a readied weapon. I would assume drawing a weapon would be an action other IAJITSU would be sort of lame waste of opportunity used. Iajitsu says you can draw and attack in one action and unlocks opportunity such as draw a other weapon or sheathe a readied weapon.

If anyone could draw a weapon and attack pretty much half of iajitsu ia pointless to even have or have written up.

  6. Looking at the kakita iajitsu it has activation of action. Draw my blade and make a strike. It opens up some opportunity options.

Strike as air activation is NOT an action requirement. It says when I make a check melee with air you have the following: opens up opportunity options.

Do these combo or chain? IE can I iajitsu ACTION (requirement) trigger technique and make the CHECK (requirement) which triggers the strike as air requirement to open all the options?

It sounds like you can to me as the first is action which fulfills the first and than the check fulfills the second.

  7. Forgive me I couldn’t find this topic easily. I haven’t played in a long time so coming back I don’t remember all the stuff.

For force sense CONTROL. I commit force dice to CONTROL; attacks on me upgrade once.

DURATION? I don’t get it? It is triggered one more time per round? What is? The upgrade? So it’s upgrade twice against me? Makes no sense here because...

    STRENGTH upgrade it twice?

LAST CONTROL is upgrade MY ability that I get fine...

“Duration” is kind of throwing me for a loop.

  9. I’m not seeing rules for damaging armor.

i would assume that’s the one thing that takes the most beating.

theat and triumphs or despairs day damaging weapon item or tool. But I think armor is its own category.

Are there rules for damaging armor? Sunder doesn’t even do it...

  10. Hard to really title this but I’m running a TOR game and I’m gave my players a cool trails adventure and they earned the right to make their lightsabers.

now I just don’t know what exactly is a good combat against lightsabers. They are pretty powerful even at basic level they will do 7 damage (6 damage with minimum 1 damage or the 1 success. With breach it will go through most NPCs)

so with most things becoming Swiss cheese what will Be exciting or interesting for players to fight? I know some combats will be some things for them to Swiss cheese through but what is a challenge especially against lightsabers?
