Prior to HotE’s announcement: “IA is dead, FFG has stopped working on this game”
Prior to Legends of the Alliance’s release: “IA is dead, the app won’t happen”
Prior to Jabba’s Realm app campaign announcement: “IA is dead, the app was the last gasp. There won’t be another campaign.”
Prior to Tyrants of Lothal’s announcement: “IA is dead…”

(And that’s just the time I’ve been with the game. It seems that in the fan’s mind, this game has always been on its last gasp. A pity, really...).

Seeing a product in Upcoming tells the FFG stock is low or empty.
Not seeing a product in Upcoming does not say that FFG has decided not to reprint it. (Enough negatives?)
(Remind me, has anyone ever seen the core box in Upcoming? There have been several reprints.)

As I've said before, better communication could do wonders.  We don't even need a timeline or specifics.  FFG just needs to tell us something's in the pipeline.

Though, there's no doubt that eventually the game will die, at least in the sense that new products will cease rolling out. Hopefully, though, we're not there yet.

Ah, I understand the confusion. I meant that I got a lot out of Greedo as he tended to show up in every mission. I didn't redeploy him in the same mission once defeated; no, Greedo just limped home to lick his wounds and come back to fight again in the next one.

All unique figures, such as Darth Vader, Greedo can't be re-deployed once defeated in the same mission
You're free to bring it back next mission but within the same mission no: once he's dead he's dead

For me, the only way it would be legitimate would be to make a Republic Assault based in the Republic Era focusing on the clone wars.

There's plenty to do with IA before a RA though. And a final edition being New Order and New Republic era.

Unlike Descent 2nd Edition which needs to be improved on but kept at 2nd Edition (i.e. add focus, Uthuk, Dragon Lords etc). I feel IA can bypass that by making a different era version so as the fans want both. With cheeky compatibility rules for a "what if" being a funny addition.

    Thank you sir!!!
This is how we played it. It makes me feel better about our outcome.
The answer to question A was more critical since this would apply to a number of scenarios (beyond just the specific case).

    A) No. You never go back in the instruction list. (The rule you quote refers things in the dialogs like >Interact with an object.)
    B) yes, towards includes the target space in the revised rules. If there's a choice between them, see Imperial Rule.

Screw that, prequels can extend the life of the games we love. I'm planning to weave prequel stuff into my RPG campaign, having prequel Obi-Wan reach to the Rebels through a Holocron, sending them on an unfinished Clone Wars era mission that will have repercussions on their current story lines dealing with the Empire.
I am not sure if I will ever be a HUGE fan of the movies, but the CONTENT from the OT is still good and has many purposes.

Personal Flagship (and Powerful Foes / Leave Them to Me) adds an earned villain's deployment card to the hand after you have chosen open groups, and thus overrides any restrictions put on open groups (such as Open Groups: 0, or restriction on their affiliation or traits).

Correct me if I'm wrong, you can't actually bring dewbacks on the mission, no creatures are allowed.
This bit me because I took personal flagship for Terro and couldn't take him due to the no creature rule

I also finished the race for ryloth mission in our previous campaign. I was the IP and the rebel squad was Drokatta, CT, Tress and Verena.
I agree, the extra move points did feel like a great help for the rebels, who effectively got a free move action.
It feels that the rebels didn't have to do much thinking, just stay on the new map piece and kill as much as possible. I was playing overwhelming oppression and had the issue that my units on the board got hammered.
I like the concept of the mission, I just don't think there is much for the rebels to do until they reach the final objective

Strain seems to be a precious commodity for the group. Everyone of them have a 2 strain ability they want to use a lot, only Verena has 5 endurance. Trandos seem like a good choice to have, as well as bleeding.

I always thought a IA version of LOTR would be awesome, looks like we got something kind of close on its way. Definitely not the same system, but borrowing mechanics from a number of FFG games as well as what looks to be card based combat (Gloomhavens card based combat is the most fun/interactive combat system I've ever used).
Looks to be a must buy.

I love the FFG art of Ewoks. Including the picture in the new article. They’re more wild bear looking. I could handle a RotJ remaster where they beef up the Ewoks a bit with some cgi. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them in IA

Personally, I have no problem with the small-scale vehicles (and multi-space figures -- i.e. Jabba is WAY too small for scale) in IA. The game is about simulation anyway, with 2D representation of 3D maps and very short blaster ranges (when compared to figure's heights), and reduced size for war machines makes total sense to me. In fact, true-to-size figures would likely break the game completely, not to mention it would drive up the price for big boxes.

There's nothing real-scale about IA at all, 'cause that's not what the game is about. The figures and rules and maps are there to help tell Star Wars stories on your average kitchen table, leaving the supposed true-to-scale wargaming to Legion and others. For me, at least, it is immersive simulations before reality approximations every single time.
