  1. Ghost Dog was a legit fantastic samurai movie
  2. I never said it was your opponent's Toturi.
  3. I was with you until this point. Storm troopers wear full face masks for the exact reason that they can be cut down like sheaves of wheat and the audience doesn't care, no matter how many Wilhelm screams we hear. That was Lucas's intention front and center. Rebel pilots and troops have open face helmets so we can see their faces and care when they die, Imperial pilots and storm troopers have full face coverings so we don't care when TIE pilots die on screen and storm troopers are eaten by Ewoks. Top 100 Things I'd Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord Rule # 1 is "My Legions of Terror will have helmets with clear plexiglass visors, not face-concealing ones" for this exact reason, nobody cares (in or out of universe) when faceless goons die. Give them faces and it is a different ballgame. Having said that, the rule does not apply to heroes or villains, only goons. Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Din, the Lord of the Nazghul, Judge Dredd, various superheroes and other *named* full helmet heroes and villains are the main characters so they get a different set of narrative rules to follow.
  4. Cards rarely make a lot of narrative sense. The intention is a harpoon effect like how Yogo Hirue makes come hither eyes at an Marauding Oni and the demon is drawn into the conflict or say Akodo Toturi gets a mystical Dragon clan Hawk tattoo and is magically catapulted into a conflict. Honest Challenger is an interesting card as rather than it just being automatic like Yogo Hirue or Hawk Tattoo, it is the winner of a duel meaning the person playing the Challenger needs to work out if they want to win or lose and then manipulate the duel so they get the desired effect. Do also keep in mind though that the Challenger cards are basically a failed experiment. Many clans never ran theirs (the Crab Challenger was bad) and don't run them much any more if they did.
  5. I am still waiting for Ant-Man to release in my country. Some FFG things we get well before other places, some we get long after. Release schedules are what happen to other people.
  6. Chase Them Down was in the core set. Aggression removing Threat has been in the game since the beginning. Counter-Punch is in the core too. Protection dealing damage has been in the game since the beginning.
  7. You are probably thinking of Imperial Assault. Legion is going strong.
  8. Mon Cals are renown bodgers that don't care much for blueprints or designs. This guy took a ship that was in a dozen pieces, got stuff that was handy in a fishing port town and made it fly again. Jobs a good 'un.
  9. There are already comprehensive Wookiepedia articles about the new characters in this episode. Nerds be fast!
  10. I have. I liked it. Lots of action and story development.
  11. If you are at all curious, his character's name is Trapper Wolf https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Trapper_Wolf I both utterly hate and like the name at the same time.
  12. I liked ep10 a lot but I was particularly happy to see another Gigoran on screen. After I finished watching the episode, I rewound it back to the bar scene to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me and therr it was, a Gigoran with mask and all.
  13. Kind of funny that he says "my goal was to avoid ASL". My wife knows a few forms of sign language (we are Australian and the form used here is called Auslan but she has also studied others for fun) and she instantly recognised it as ASL derived. As we were watching the scene she said to me, "Oh they are using American Sign Language. Well, this <making the sign> obviously means "Mandalorian"..."
  14. Not my pig, not my farm. Tsanuri obviously got a ronin to do her dirty work because she wanted plausible deniability so the less I knew, the better. Just do as instructed, no more and no less. I did read the scrolls though (mainly because I didn't know there was a seal and there would be evidence of reading it) but Dragon gotta Dragon.
  15. I decided my character was a Dragon pilgrim so reacted in that way. I set some stuff on fire, killed a messenger and recovered and read the scrolls. The Lion failed to retake the village.
