  1. What the card means when it says "Cannot be used more than once this turn" is that you cannot trigger the same effect by playing another copy of Yuffie. See, when you play the first Yuffie, the effect triggers. If you then battle and use Yuffie, or simply replay her and discard the original, her power that normally discards a card randomly from your opponent's hand doesn't trigger a second time.

So, to surmize, Yuffie's power from BoD activates when she is played, as denoted by the put into play symbol preceding her text. It ONLY activates when she is played, meaning it does NOT repeat on subsequent turns. Lastly, replaying Yuffie on the same turn you activated her power will NOT allow you to trigger the power again.

Same thing goes for similarly worded cards, like Pot Spider from BoD

  2. Thank you Mr. Dawn, I have actually been paying very close attention to the site. I was very excited about the Monocrome's Stealth Sneak killability, and the Gullwing keeping Valor out. Most of all though, I regret the loss of an Americanized version of the wonder that is the Way to the Dawn. My Riku FF Aggro mourns its loss.

  3. I've read alot of posts recently where the Wishing Lamp equipment card apparantly creates an infinite Draw loop everytime an Agrabah Card is played (Aladdin, Iago, Jafar, etc.) But it has the word Agrabah in quotes... not Bold Print, which as I understood it meant that you draw a card each time you play an Agrabah World Card, not any Agrabah oriented card. For example, the Lamp Equipment card in BoD says only Agrabah friend cards can equip this card, but Agrabah referring to the friends was in bold print. Thus, the way Wishing Lamp is worded, you can really only draw one card a turn, when you play an agrabah WORLD card.

    Is this incorrect?

  4. Hey all,

I am not sure what ref system we have here per se' (Only started using the boards about two months ago for rulings verifications, haven't been on much.)

If it adds and Credibility at all, I am SupahVegeta on TopTierGaming (http://toptiergaming.com/forums/index.php?showuser=1717), and Vinceff7 on Ebay.

  5. Matthew Bullock (Vinceff7)

I am not like most of the first people to sign this, in the sense that I have only been playing for a little over a month; so I cannot say I feel any sort of resentment over site/rulings/play/news situations. I simply haven't lived them.

What I can say is: I completely understand that, as a general rule, running a League or Friday-Night-WHATEVER GAME YOU WANT event on a regular basis is a player/store responsibility. The store needs to know having the event as part of its regular routine will be beneficial to its business, and the players need to take the time to either have a judge on hand, or educate themselves on ruling as they come up in a constantly evolving game environment. So while I accept the other player's concern for support (any added Promos/ other such support always boosts the desire in the store/players that were afore mentioned to live up to their responsibilities), I understand that beyond increased prize/advertising support, a lot of the organized play issues aren't Fantasy Flight's responsibility.

However; those two specific things that ARE Fantasy Flight's responsibility CAN be addressed by the company. A promise of promotional or incentive product that increases the desire for attending an organized play event by players would certainly increase player volume. And it doesn't even need to be new cards, other companies (such as Wizards/Score Entertainment) simply issue foils and alternate arts of currently existing cards that people typically play in decks. I know foil patterns of the Player/XIII characters that do not have such as yet would certainly be a staple of many in the Video game fan-boy/girl camps. And secondly, increased advertising so that retailers and buyers actually know the game is out there, is the best course of action for the Fantasy Flight Company's best interests. In the last month of I have bought 4 starters, and 6 sealed booster boxes worth of product. but it has all been spaced out in either Target or Online retailers. Local stores that would carry the product, when inquired, honestly did not know the game existed. And they carry a consistent amount of Fantasy Flight products in other areas. It blew my mind.

I am not voicing from an aggrieved stand point, simply from the stand point of a new convert who would love to have the chance to really go with this game into an enjoyable future. I hope that is how it works out.

  6. I love the game play styles actually. I honestly think this game and it's mechanics make for better playing than most other tcg's/ccg's and I have played a lot. I was introduced to the game when I my girlfriend picked up some starters from target, and was instantly hooked! It has an appeal that I miss in the Magic community that  I enjoyed in Score Entertainment's gaming communities. As others have stated, its quick to pick up for anyone of any age. Since there are multiple win conditions and player characters people can customize their decks to their liking with relative ease. I just...

I simply haven't had this much fun playing a card game since 2006. It is a pleasure to sit down to, shuffle up, and roll.

  7. Hey all,

So I probably posted in the wrong place earlier (in the news section), but I had noticed a November 21st, 2009 on Borders.com for a new Kingdom Hearts TCG. Way to the Dawn was kind enough to post a link to the product in question, and gave his thoughts.

My concern is that I just started playing KH a month or so ago. I sincerely hope the game hasn't been canceled.

    So, on that note...

Does anyone know how many sets were released in Japan?

Does anyone know if the Japanese version of the game is still being produced?

Has anyone heard of an American side cancelation of the game?

How often do sets get their release dates pushed back due to complications with production/rights with this game?

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  8. Both Borders and Overstock dot coms have a November 21st, 2009 release date for a Kingdom Hearts TCG set called Dawn of a Friend. Is this for an American release, or a japanese product they are planning to carry?
