  1. Thanks

Here's a website that I use: marvelcdb.com. You can use it as a deckbuilder and save the decks you create once you make a profile. Super handy (no pun intended) for keeping track of decks you like and for experimenting. It's also a place where other players can post their decks. The best posts will have a description on how to best play the deck as well. It's a great jumping off point if you just want to pick a character and an aspect then give them a whirl before trying your hand at building.  Hope this helps!

Two decks will come built (Ms. Captain Marvel Aggression and Spiderman Justice). But the back of the Learn to Play has decklists for the other heroes. Keep in mind that if you want to put together another character with one of the aspects already in use, you'll have to take that pre-built deck apart or you won't have enough cards to build a deck.
Also, the pre-built decks play fine, especially for beginners, but after you've played for a while you'll probably start to see where you can trade cards out to make the deck better. Especially if you like it enough to start picking up the expansions hero packs.

They were making money prior to this price hike.  This is greed.  And unless you want this to turn political, perhaps you should ignore my perspective in this subject.

Is FFG not supposed to make money on their products???

These price hikes have me rethinking how much longer I’ll keep getting expansions for this game. Might be about time for me to consider what I already have as enough to play casually forever.  Really disappointed to see them raising prices to this extreme.  Greed is a terrible thing.

I tried to watch Episode I with them because they wanted to "see a Star Wars with Darth Maul in it". I hadn't seen it since 1999. I was pretty horrified. At their young impressionable age, I felt really uncomfortable exposing them to the (even if accidentally created) racial caricatures found in it. Won't be watching that again anytime soon.
We also tried to watch Episode II and III but the CGI and the acting is just unwatchable. I had to turn it off. It was like a "so bad, it's funny" thing, only, without the funny.
Not gonna pay $7 a month cause that adds up. I have DVDs or Bluray of the OT, R1, Ewoks, now Clone Wars ('03), and presumably eventually, SOLO, TLJ, and The Mandolorian. SOLO has kinda been growing on me. I guess I'll let it slide.
Also, this whole "two actors, one character" thing really is mind-breaking for very small children. They can't understand it very well. I remember being super confused about From Star Wars to Jedi at around that age. It showed a British actor as Jabba the Hutt. Also, the screenshots of Biggs and stuff from the center of the ANH novelization were puzzling when I was under 6 or so.
Anything else, they can get from the local library I guess. The LEGO Star Wars cartoons are cute, but hardly worth shelf space and obviously about as canon as the Ewok cartoon. Droids I do not yet own, and it's usually overpriced. Only way I'd get that is if I found a good copy at Salval or something someday.
My kids are toddlers, it's not like they should be watching a lot of tv anyways.

Not sure if this helps but this guy opened two boxes and got the same land types (and scenarios) Might be worth the watch to see if you can spot any differences.

They designed a large number of components(terrain types, scenarios, items, enemies, etc...) And each copy has a unique combination of those components. The basic rules of the game are the same and once you have played with your copy for awhile, you could trade your copy with someone else's to continue to play new stories and environments within the same game system. I'm not sure what you're not getting, it's absolutely possible for both to be true.

What I dont want to see, is an ability for R2 to fly and then drop oil on stormtroopers.

I’m with you, there’s no real point for the most part.  Just roll a die and keep the tracker in the middle.  That’s what we’ll probably do

blkdymnd reacted to KalEl814 in Use of the round dial?
Someone at FFG got drunk years ago and bought an unholy number of circle cutters and the plastic bits used to hold the dials together. That's the only conceivable explanation I've been able to come up with for why so many of their games have them. It's to the point that when I open an FFG game and DON'T see a dial, I'm convinced that the designers based the final QC schedule on when Rick is on vacation so they can slip a game past his watchful eye, since his only note is ever, "why are there so few dials in here?" I would bet my life that there's a Mansions of Madness 2nd edition prototype somewhere at HQ that has a round dial just to throw him off the trail...

seriously, FFG is better than this.  These are most iconic heroes of a multi generational franchise.  Take some time, get the details right

The problem with other vids is that almost invariably every one of them gets multiple important rules wrong, and that's important with a new game and people watching and learning. Rodney's rule knowledge is exceptional.
We can probably presume that there will be less cutting up in the other vids as the game will already have begun and they will be in the middle of things.
