  1. The Gobling Sapper waits in the space for someone else to use him on a future turn.
  2. You're exactly right on this issue. If you want to use an object, stanger or place (for example), and there's a Monster in the way, then you must either defeat or evade that Monster. Pretty straightforwards
  3. Dragon Spirits doesn't break the one scale per space rule, since the scales go on the card, not on the space. When you land on Dragon Spirits you ignore any scales on this card for purposes of drawing dragon cards.
  4. Thanks for the advice, but I don't have a SD card!
  5. The app just doesn't seem to want to work for me I get to select a team, watch the intro movie and then it just hangs on the loading screen and never progress any further. I have a Samsung Galaxy S running the latest version of Gingerbread, and I've got the latest version of the app as well.
  6. Thanks Velhart. When you put it in context with the Druid's ability it makes sense. If the Druid can change his Alignment in response to an upcoming card, then it seems a little unfair to not allow a Spell to be cast. Obviously as you said it depends on the Spell's restrictions though. Thanks.
  7. Nope, you don't need the ability to attack the Lord of Darkness since the board allows you the choice of which to use.
  8. If you had a spell that you could cast within the sequence I listed above, it doesn't matter what the spell is, is it legal to do so? Or is there no available casting slot between drawing a card and encountering? I guess what I'm asking is could you "interrupt" the Guru encounter by casting a spell, therefore being able to draw a new spell.
  9. We had a situation occur in our last game were the Guru was drawn in the Highlands on a single draw space. At the time the player who drew the Guru had his full compliment of Spells. Another player argued that he should be able to cast a spell before encountering the Guru, thus being able to get another spell from him. His argument went like this: 1) First you draw cards as indicated by the space. 2) You sort the cards according to the number order that you'll encounter them in. 3) You encounter the cards. Therefore, he argued, you should be able to casts spells after your draw the cards, or after you sort the cards, but before you encounter them. Personally I think this is completely wrong and open to so much abuse. As it turned out the original player didn't want to use the Guru anyway, so an argument was avoided. What are your thoughts on this one?
  10. Hey. 1) If you draw a token that matches the current Dragon King you still put it on him. Once he reaches three tokens you discard two of them and place the third token on the space. But the Crown doesn't move. It makes no difference whether a new Lord is made King or the current Lord remains King. 2) A space can only ever have one dragon token. If you're instructed to place a token in a space which already has one you instead put it in the next empty space counterclockwise. 3) Where you draw multiple dragon tokens, say with Dragon Strike, you resolve the tokens in the order you draw them. For example, you draw Dragon Strike as your token for the turn, so you then draw another token, which you resolve, i.e. place on Grilipus, potentially making him King. You then draw the second token and resolve that, which might make a different Lord the King. Hope that helps
  11. The Assassin can use whatever he likes when assassinating. Imagine he tramples over the enemy while on horseback! The ending result always being that the enemy doesn't get to roll a die. Those quest rewards increase your base "value" by one. So cards, such as the Warhorse, which add your Craft Value take the Quest Reward into account since it increases your base value. But yes essentially it's a an extra stat which can't be taken away from you. I'm not sure where the confusion on your part is coming from. Your total Craft is a result of you Craft Value (base Craft), plus any counters, plus anything from Objects/Followers. So if your Craft Value was increased by one your total Craft would also be increased by one.
  12. Maybe the Draconic Lords are so old and ancient, that items which effect younger Dragons have minimal effect on them!
  13. I don't think it's an oversight. I think the separate box is to make it stand out so it's easier to notice. I suspect most people have probably wondered whether the Inner Region Dragons and the Draconic Lord are affected by such cards, and putting it in a big box makes it clearer. At least that's what I think.
  14. No, you're right. For some reason I thought it was only character abilities. So Orb doesn't work! P.S. NP
  15. Yus, the Prophetess is a bit of a card drawing power monster! One of my personal favourites The Orb of Prophecy would still work though, since the restriction is only on Character abilities I belive.
  16. As ever, cards may be the exception to the rules
  17. Hi there. Let me help where I can: 1) You've got it a little wrong. You're right in saying that if you encounter a character you cannot then encounter the space. However, It's also not a choice between encountering the space or the cards. If you take a look at the flow diagram at the end of the rule book it will show you the correct method. But for clarifications sake, if there are face up cards already there then you encounter those first and, should you make it past them all, you then ecounter the space i.e. the Village. If it's a draw you space you simply draw up to the correct number of cards according to the space. 2) I believe you're correct here. One distinction I'll make with Warlock Quests is if it says to "Visit" a location then you have to travel there and perform some action there, i.e giving a gold to the Black Knight. If a quest says "Travel" to a location you just have to go there, but you're teleported back to the Warlock's Cave before you can perform any actions there. 3) You're right in that you cannot visit multiple places on a location, and that you must choose something you can actually do. You can't visit the doctor and heal no lives. However, as mentioned in one above, you still complete any cards already on the space and then visit the location. It's not a choice of cards or space. 4) You've got this right. If a lower numbered card defeats you, or tells you to miss a turn, you then don't encounter whatever else is there. Interestingly if you're told to miss a turn while there are still cards to enounter, then not encountering those cards counts as your missed turn, rather then missing your next physical turn. 5) When you encounter a scale the card drawn stacks with whatever else is there. So if you draw a Magic Object from a Dragon deck and there was already a Monster on the space, then you'd still need to defeat that Monster before claiming the Magic Object. In essence, a Dragon Scale allows you to still draw a card on an already occupied space, whereas if you choose not to enounter the Scale you wouldn't be able to draw additional cards. 6) Yes, regardless of where a card came from (Adventure Deck or Dragon Deck), they're still encountered in the normal sequence. Once a card is on the board all the usual rules for encountering them apply. They're not considered any different because they came from a Dragon Deck. So in your exampel if you landed on that space you'd have the choice of encountering the Scale, and that card would then stack in the normal number sequence. Or you could encounter the cards already in the space. So you'd fight in the Troll and Red Dragon together (assuming they're both Strength monsters) and then you'd be able to claim the gold and object. 7) Yes. When a player lands on a space with a Dragon Scale that matches the current Dragon King he must encounter that Scale. Remember, when you encounter a Dragon Scale you don't get to visit the space afterwards, such as the City, nor does the space have any effect on this current encounter. Which is nice for places like the Cursed Glade or Runes! Hope this helps!
  18. Stampede's good for blasting through the Sentinel and into the Middle Region!
  19. Séamus Mór said: Yes, warhorses help Craft characters most, and maybe this rule was made to help with game balance. BUT - You can't use 2 weapons but you can use 2 warhorses? Tosh. As this rule flies in the face of common sense, I shall ignore it. Not really since the Warhorse can charge itself into combat! You can have an army of horses do you bidding whilst you skulk in the bushes!!
  20. I don't think it really matters what order you do the Regions. You could mix it up by starting with the tokens closest to where you're physically sitting! If you did need an order I'd start with Outer, then Middle, then Dungeon and Highlands (release order!).
  21. It's usually on the card itself where it bars use in the Inner Region. The only cards that allow it are Cloak of Feathers and Arknell.
  22. We had a curious use of Stampede occur in a game earlier today. I was curious whether you guys thought this was correct. The Minotaur was near the end of the Dungeon, and rolling a five he landed on the Lord of Darkness and beat him by enough to teleport directly to the Crown of Command and fight the Dragon King. Since he then has to fight the Dragon King that same turn, would he still retain his Stampede bonus since he started with a movement roll that turn?
  23. Sorry, not paying attention. I meant to post this in the questions forum.
