  1. Idk if it's still relevant, but I happened to notice your post from a long time ago looking for the program, I updated the post with a google drive link to all the files, though I never got around to updating it for 2E heh https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B35Y0lGvVUVkSWFpOGFtenB1Wmc/view?usp=sharing
  2. after a long bout of laziness v1.3 is up, Main addition is a statistics testing feature that let's you see average damage per round/per shot, etc for a certain preset
  3. Be careful your first time player doesn't get too bored playing a minimal personality character. I can imagine it'd get a little dull after a while when not disguised.
  4. www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp The edit button dissapears 5 minutes after the post is created. It'd be a nice function to be able to use whenever though.
  5. project wiki has been changed a wee bit along with the domain to skullroller.wikispaces.com/ so as to better comply with games workshop standards after hearing about the problems Dark Reign is currently having with GW.
  6. btw i'll post in this topic each time I update it. up to version 1.2 at the time of this posting recently added: unstable, overheats and "no crits" option(for npc's and such), Long, Extreme and Maximum Range(explained in Read Me)
  7. I made a really small application with java for me and my friends to use for Dark Heresy and decided to clean it up a bit and put it up on the internet. It's a roller for firing guns in various settings (autofire, tearing, aiming, differing ballistic skills, etc). I made it originally since I wanted something to make it easier for my character firing two autopistols and for my DM when he needed a lot of npc's firing. Can also be used for melee weapons to a lesser extent. Lemme know what you think about it. you can get it from: Dark Reign uploads section: or the project Homepage: skullroller.wikispaces.com/ Please let me know any bugs you find, feature requests or just general comments. Any comment is fine really heh, lets me know if I'm headed in the right direction with updates. EDIT: Pretty old and only covers 1st edition rules, but just incase anyone wants it Latest version plus source files. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B35Y0lGvVUVkSWFpOGFtenB1Wmc/view?usp=sharing
  8. on the other extreme, the sound con buffed gaurdsman with a lucky roll on the divination table in my party has 21 wounds with 50 toughness. Which means that technically, since the damage table caps at 1d10+20 for falling(i'm assuming the writers figured that's how much maximum fall speed will do) said guardsman can: a.) fall from orbit(disregarding atmospheric friction burn) land on his head with maximum fall damage and get back up a round later after the stun wears off b.) take the minimum damage from that same fall, still be at 5 wounds, and go smack someone nearby with his sword right after. course the DM stopped our plan to the guardsman onto enemy tanks for realism's sake, but just an interesting side note XD. Though at the other end of the table, falling damage does rack up fairly fast at distances many ordinary people can easily fall without getting hurt.
  9. I have the body hit locations working now and the new version can be downloaded at dh-skullroller.wikispaces.com/
  10. Basic version posted up both on a small wiki I made and also on Dark Reign dh-skullroller.wikispaces.com/ www.darkreign40k.com/downloads/gaming-aids/skullroller-vb1-11/details-3.html
  11. 1. I suppose a down menu or something would be fairly easy to put in there 2. I'm not completely sure what you mean by testing the other abilites. Do you mean like having a couple fields to put stats in, and then being able to have a 1d100 rolled off against any stat you choose? It sounds interesting and doable, itd be nice for easy degrees of success too. 3. also a good idea, itd be just another field that gets updated each time you fire. it sounds like you're going to be using this for npcs alot, so perhaps I can have it keep track of the total, and current ammo for each preset.
  12. So I've been trying out building a dice roller for dark heresy rules with java's swing code and the netbeans IDE. I only really have one year of a java course so my coding is fairly limited, but the program seems to work so far heh. It's pretty simple at the moment, but I'm still expanding on it. here's a pic of how it looks so far i108.photobucket.com/albums/n10/forrely/skullrollersample.jpg I've put in a preset feature so people can switch between settings quickly, and I am still adding in more options. Right now, many of the options are in there just for ease of use since many(red dot sight, mighty shot, etc) are things that can be calculated beforehand and simply added to the "modifiers" or "damage" fields. I will likely include more eventually, but my first priorities are adding in things such as reliable, unstable, overheats, and other things that cant be accounted for in those fields. My questions are: What sort of features would be most wanted in this? Is there a better replacement already out there? Where would be a simple place to "host" this sort of small project so that people could comment or list bugs? I'm still a bit new to java but ill do what I can.
