If there are still openings for volunteers I would like to inquire as well. Half my money is usually spent there and will not be signing up for half the events I usually do this year. Tired of running from room to room and building to building.
  2. Dwarves take a little longer to get going but are fairly decent once they do. The Skaven seem to take a little while to get going, then a bit more strategic to play. IMO at least.

Blood Pact said: zombieneighbours pretty much got it spot on, though I'd suspect that even before the end of the Age of Apostasy there were non-militant orders of the Brides of the Emperor. problem with this is that a true Astartes would not work beside her. She would be viewed as an abomination that way and probably killed. While Deathwatch accepts from any chapter, some could care less about sending a Battle Brother. Try being with the Inquisition and telling the Space Wolves or Dark Angels they need to comply. They are just as likely to vaporize the messenger as send a reply.

(example- Common Lore-Adeptus Astartes and Drive-Ground Vehicles). Does the player still need to purchase the "basic"? or is it given he knows it already since he is "trained"? That's probably something that can be answered by knowing the DH/RT rules. "Basic" just identifies the skill as being natural enough, that one can do it without "training," things like dodging, climbing, awareness, etc. (but suffer a 1/2 penalty on the attribute you roll on). If it is not basic, you just can't use it. No matter what, if you are trained in it, you get your normal full skill + whatever bonus. I don't think there is any normal way to "buy" a skill as basic, usually when spending XP, you are actually training the skill (which is better anyway). There are however, some methods of treating advanced skills as basic skills (at least in DH/RT), through certain background packages, etc. Ok, thank you. Did not play the DH/RT so was kind of guessing that was the way

  6. Although it is a novel about a Chaos Space Marine, Lore of the Night, tells of Sahaal. First commander over the Raptors. Though he is a Chaos Marine, he never followed any of the Chaos ways or succumed to them in anyway I remember. When Nighthaunter allowed himself to be assassinated, the assassin took a relic from the Night Lords. he immediately went after it. Sahaal never took part in anything with the Night Lords. Now, if he had already succumbed to any Chaos "benefits", it never says. Sahaal is even pissed when he finally finds out what the the Night Lords have turned in to. This puts him before the Horus Heresy age wise and he is still kicking and not following Chaos. Then there is Luther from the Dark Angels. He was lat reported to be held as captive in the darkest and farthest part on (whats left) of Caliban. He was older than the Lion. Yes, he to madea blunder and fell under Chaos influence, but it is not known to what extent.
  7. I may be reading the rule wrong, but is a player allowed to useweapons and armor in the fight. I was seeing Objects and thinking it was a fisticuff, mind war. Am I reading "too" far into the rule?
  8. I would be happy to see cards added in the future to beef up all the set encounters. Not alot mind you, but individual cards that grant +X/+X to the encounter.
