  1. Is this a good thing? I would prefer to buy one "Signs of Faith 2" expansion, with new powers, than buying each of the cult powers per separate. I hope that after Call of Heroes, they still do other expansiopn, and not just print on demand ...
  2. Hello there! i have a question , although a philosophical one. Priests of the different cults, fullfill the role of an analogous Christian church in our real middle ages, been the second power in the warhammer setting, and also persuading the common people in following the will of their gods, isnt it? Well , i have a doubt. In real life , this is easy, since most of the priests dont do any miracles, or any visible manifestation of their deity power, but in Warhammer even an initiate can do blessings, clearly showing the power of their god. So, how does the people, and the society in itself handle this? It is easy to be corrupt, when you know that god is a methaphysical idea and a diffuse experience, but if you SEE somebody showing its power, then, as my point of view, is a sign of that god true existance, and also of his guidance. So how does the cult of said initiate handle this? I suppose not all the priests do miracles, so that means that initiates that show this power, are taken as "divine vessels" , and easily reach power in the cult? Or are they ingnored? What happens to the cult then? If lets say, i am a nobleman, that worship Ulric, and i am corrupt, and then i see the power of my god, i suppose i will take that priest as a prophet, and as a messenger of said god. What stops the cults for having all the power, even more than any emperor, if they are in fact contacting with their god, been their messengers? Especially if Chaos exist? Sometimes the fluff shows the empire as corrupt, with nobles that cares little for the empire and the gods, even cults doing war against each other. And then , how can miracle workers exist, and still be seen as "just part of the church", and not as "the godsent leaders of the Empire"? Jesus for example, was supossedly able to do miracles, and he changed the whole history! (just an example). And in warhammer, any common initiate, or even an uncommon priest, do any miracle, and still is "just a priest". How can i interpret that? I just want help for finding the logic or the lore for understanding it, since it is a hole in the lore i dont know how to fill.
  3. I plan to bouy them , but i usually did it in Amazon. The problem is they dont have the blackfire pass, and omens of war are available via other vendors, so , any recommended place or offer?
  4. Well, you are right. They are not supposed to be well prepared for a siege. There is so little info in the books about the savage orcs, and also in the forums, that is difficult to know how they will react to this kind of situation, but you are right, Thank you, and to you too Emrikol, i really love your middenheim picture First time i see it in miniatures.
  5. Thanks to all for the ideas!i will apply the one that make you unconcious if you are with more criticals than your toughness. It feels more "critical"to me. Also i like the idea of the stacks of criticals divided by the part of the bodies. And yes, i believe that they will need at least firts aid for recovering each day, if not, the damage will feel like less dangerous and more like hit points Also the severity of the criticals will matter for me, but all that can be roleplayed as well.
  6. Great picture! Still searching for info about the savage orcs Any info is welcome!
  7. i understand that if a player pass his wound threshold and have more critical wounds than his toughness, he dies. I find this wrong, because it seems at if the critical woundsare not so deadly as they should need to be. If i have o normal wounds, but 10 critical wounds, it is ok according to the system, because i can stil lbe up and fighting, since i need both type of wounds to die. So , i want to make a house rule for making the wounds more deadly , or at least not so soft. What bother me also is that, selecting a critical wound is random, i mean, one need to pick one wound card randomly and put it face up. I dont like this, it is against the story in a way, i cant do a critical woudn with a hammer in the head, and then randomly pick a critical card that says, "broken rib" or something, so i want to house rule that as well. But i dont know how to do it, any help and suggestion with this issue? i dont want to punish my players too much, since i dont see it from a players perspective, but from a GM one, but also want a more deadly system, where critical wounds are really "critical" and not so soft: Also, i dont have Omens of War, yet, so i dont have the permanet criticals. Any help for the healing process will be hepfull as well, since i dont like also the system. I dont think that just for resting one can recover wounds so easily, right now i make my players use a lot of first aid, just for been able to recover what in the book is recovered jsut resting properly, but any help or suggestion will help greatly to my story. Thanks!!

  9. In my campaign, i will need info about the savage orcs, not the normal ones, but the promitive ones, the ones that barely use armors. Any info about their tactics, and also about their waaaghs? The idea is that they will attack Middenheim in a big Whaaaaagh, although i dont know if they live near the city, maybe in Drakwald, but dont know for sure. Also, how much orcs do you believe will be needed for taking Middenheim, or at least for been taking as a serious threat? As i suppose they act in different ways, any help with this savage orcs will be very useful. Also, anyone can describe middenheim, or at least tell me some facts and important things about it? I finished reading ashes of middenheim, and i am currently reading the "Hammers of Ulric" novel, but my players will reach (hopefully) Middenheim soon, so any facts and details will help. Thanks to all, really this forum is so full of info that i prefer to refer to it, more than the books
  10. Yes, that is the female tech priest! Awesome!
  11. I am sure i saw one art made by John Blanche, one of the oldest ilustrators or WArhammer, in a Warhammer 40000 artbook , portraying one Tech marine Inquisitor. I remember it because was awesome! Maybe should be very difficult for the Inquisition to trust the Adeptus Mechanicus, since both institutions are so secretive, but i believe should not be impossible, after all, an inquisitor benefiting both factions, is a boon for both of them. Maybe if such individual exist, must be distrusted, and probably work alone or mostly with other tech marines and even rogue traders, and i see it as an Ordo Xeno representative, and Hereticus or even a malleus is too difficult to grasp for the machine probably. Even saw an art of a female magus, i believe.
  12. Maybe a Verena witch hunter, or an ulrican one. If it is a Ulrican one, it may be a veteran soldier that is obsessed with erradicating chaos, especially if he fighted it before, or if he is trying to attone for inner corruption.....
  13. Thanks for the ideas! Right now the players saved their life, facing an makeshift trial at the town, and thanks to the retoric of an Middenheimer noble that is als a lawyer, and a well played session, also thanks to the disdain shown by the witch hunter in particular against Ulrican religion, and some inflammatory comments he did, they saved themselves by the skin of their teeths I believe i will make a story of all this campaign , and write it down here at the forums. Sadly after that they only had the option of going to Middenheim throught a mountain climbing pass, not because of the witch hunter, but because the main roads were closed, and in that pass, one of them died, a Sigmar initiate, because he didnt wanted to let his hammer go to the abbyss, and was using a chaimail, without any proper climbing kit By the way, i am playing in Santa Cruz, Bolivia
