Oh nevermind, I guess I knew what to do after all. Thank you I wasn't entirely sure.

Well what about the lvl rule? When can you play dark friends of higher levels?
-
Alright, after looking over the rules forums, I've come to realize I have little idea how to correctly play a dark deck. Could someone either explain the rules behind playing dark friends and the like or provide me with a link to these rules? Thanks.

Oops, I misread the last question. And as for the rule with Pegasus, how do we know when they are referencing friends and when they are just referencing cards with that name then?
-
1. I always thought it meant that you could choose a dark card other than Behemoth and wait until you were ready to fight him. But by that rule, then yes, you would have to attack with all your friends even if you chose to fight a dark card other than Behemoth.
2. As for Pegasus, it would work only once Pegasus was on the field. But, Pegasus refers to "Olympus Coliseum" cards, not Olympus Coliseum. From what I read in an earlier thread, this means that it refers only to world cards, not cards with that world icon.
3. Attack cards and magic cards work against Fat Bandit, as well as friend effects.
4. No, that effect lasts as long as the world card is out. This is because lvl 3 world cards are supposed to have a drawback to keep them from being played constantly.

In my opinion, I would say that is a different scenario due to the card classification. In a Org XIII deck, you can have other players as friends but it refers to them as Org XIII instead of players. Player cards are usually classified differently, usually Player/Light. However, Org XIII members say they are Player/XIII, so they are directly referenced that they can be used by other Player/XIII cards. As for using them to fill the deck even though you cannot play them, I would think the answer would be no. I would think that you would treat a deck as if it had a limit of one player since the other XIII members are placed in the deck as friends, I'd also say the fact that there is currently no errata for Kingdom Hearts cards would prevent this as it wouldn't have been considered before Set 4. Also, if this were allowed, then I would think Ansem or Dark Riku would then be allowed to play one another as friends, so I think that this would most likely not be allowed since you can always just fill your deck with other commons that you have no use for. This is just my opinion though.

I just realized I have posted on here for the past two days without properly introducing myself. So, hello. I hope that I may become a very active member and am hoping to learn as much about this game as possible. As such, I will have the occasional question about the game until I fully understand.

Is the quiz focused on rules like a judge's test, or does it also involve a knowledge of Deck-building and combos as well? If so, I need to work on my knowledge of the individual cards...

I am still quite new to the game, however it took only one night of reading the rules forum for me to see how confusing the rulings are. This game is quite enjoyable, however, by neglecting the support for it; FFG has scared away numerous potential fans of the game. Last week, my friend and I sat down at the local card shop and began playing. At least 20 people stopped by and asked us about the game or said that they had a deck or two made but they didn't know that anybody played the game. This is a truly fun game and I much prefer it over games like Yu-gi-oh. I quit playing it because the rulings became too confusing and situational, I would hate to see the same thing happen to this game.

Hello, I'm new to the game right now and am not fit to be considered for a spot now, however, I am trying to learn as much about the game as possible and would like to earn a spot someday (Xigbar or Luxord hopefully). Is there anything that you might suggest to a begginer so as to help me work my way to a spot?

I see the vailidity in both arguments but as far as the "in-game rule goes", Sora had to revert back. Even if you had a full drive gauge and activated a low cost Form (such as valor or wisdom), you still had to revert back before you could change again. I remember because it was frustrating, I would accidently pick the wrong form, and I still had to revert back to pick the one I wanted, even if I only spent a moment in the first form. So, if we are using the game as the basis, we would have to revert back. But like Roxas said, the card game does play different sometimes so...I guess it is all just speculation on my part.

Ah, thank you for your help.

I have one more question I forgot to ask. How does one attack Dark friends? I am pretty sure it is a matter of the opponent using magic cards to destroy them. But is it possible for them to battle them like they would on a world card or is it limited just to magic? Also, does the damage to the dark/friend go away after they discard or is that just for when they are on a world?
-
Thank you, we were pretty sure on most of these but having it confirmed is always helpful.

These are pretty simple questions but I needed some clarification since my friends and I had some problems trying to resolve them. Just so you know, he runs a Roxas deck and I run an Ansem deck.
1. Unlike the other Organization XIII player cards, Roxas does not state that you halve the POW on any Samurai nobodies he plays. So, does he just get to use the full power for support or is it halved like the other ORG XIII players? I thought it should have been halved but the card didn't specify so I wasn't sure.
2. My next question is regarding worlds and enemies played on them. I played a lvl 1 Monstro since it limited his friends, he played a Dragoon on it to find a Samurai, however, he thought it seemed unfair that I could choose to not fight the Dragoon since it not only let me keep Monstro and it's effect, but it also prevented him from playing another Dragoon to find another Samurai. However, I don't think there is any rule against waiting at a world so you can prolong it's effect. Is there any rule or penalty I'm forgetting here or can I just ignore the world and focus on challenging if I choose?
3. When playing Pete as a friend, does his effect change with the worlds played by your opponent or does it only count the worlds out when you play him. (ex. I play Pete when my friend has a total world level of 4, giving Pete a POW of 14 and a support value of 7. Later, my friend plays a lvl 2 world card raising his world lvl to 6, does this raise Pete's POW lvl to 16 and support value to 8? Or does it stay at the original POW of 14 because that was when I played it?
4. Finally, when I use Bit Sniper's effect to play him at a lower lvl than 4, does he remain at this lvl or is it just for when I first play him? I asked because I intended to use a Bit Sniper lowered to lvl 3 to play a lvl 4 dark card, but we were not sure if he remained lvl 3 or went back to lvl 4.
Any input would be appreciated and I apologize for making it so long.

I would agree that it only affects one at a time, though I don't know why you would play her on a world if you were running a dark deck.
