  1. Thank you very much, the way you both explained it makes sense.
  2. Howdy folks, I googled this but did not find a specific answer to my question. One of the Heros has Arcane Bolt and purchased Exploding Rune. Does this take one actions to trigger or two? The reason I am on the fence is that the Exploding Rune skills says "Perform an attack with a Rune Weapon" and then "The attack gains blast" Seems to me that could be "read" in two way: 1) That skill makes the attack with the rune weapon and stacks Blast (using 1 action total) -or- 2)First you make an attack (action 1) and then activate Exploding rune (action 2) to make it have blast. I ruled on the side of the Hero in the last game (let him use it for one action each attack) but it was very powerful in the tight dungeon we were in. Curious to see what you folks think. Thanks!
  3. Evening guys, have two quick question: When we create our astropaths we are given the Telepathy Discipline and the choice of two techniques. 1) Are these limited to two out of the three 100xp techniques? Or can we take any technique in the Telepathy Discipline(provided we can meet the prerequisite)? 2) If so, are we allowed to spend 100xp and purchase the last “rank 1” technique? Or did those two “free” techniques use up(aka: burn) those offered in the Rank 1 Advances? The rules aren’t very clear in this regard. All classes have redundancies in starting skills/talents and those listed in the Rank 1 Advances, but none would waste XP buying the same skill/talent twice, so it doesn’t really matter. For astropaths this is a different matter and I wanted to be clear. Thanks!
  4. Hey guys, I have a quick question: Can Astropath use some of the Dark Heresy minor powers and the Disciplines? The rules never clearly say that an Astropath can ONLY use the Disciples listed in the RT core, but they mention several times on how to clearly convert powers across DH and RT. It also mentions the "other" powers and abilities in the universe and notes that the ones mentioned in the book are only potential abilities. They also limit an Astropaths to three possible Disciplines. Why limit them to three Disciplines if there are only three listed in the book? I see this as a way to keep psykers and astropaths from spreading their abilities too far apart, essentially making them more effective in their given Disciplines. Mostly, I am referring the page 158 the section titled "Psychic Disciplines", the last three paragraphs. Like I said, it never clearly states on way or another, but the vibe I get after reading through the chapter a few times allow leeway. The only Disciples I see that is mandatory for an Astropath is Telepathy, since obviously that is their primary duty....and the fact you start with it Thanks for your time and let me know what you think.
