First off, as to carreers, any path can be justified. Scouts do serve in the deathwatch. Some marines, after decades of service, choose to serve as scout squad leaders for the upcoming stock of potential marines. This insures that they are ready for service as a tac marine.
As a Space Wolf, or Puppy player. I feel that chaplins should have a path in the game. I would see it as funny if a DA had to go to a SW for guidence in matters of faith. I could go on and on about what I would like to see in the game. For example, a SW and DA having rules to represent the friction between the two of their chapters. I could see them hating each other, or becoming comrades, that like to goed each other. But I do think that a Space wolf would never completely trust a DA, just like a DA should almost never trust an outsider, its in their natures.
A DA chap would almost never happen though. Too many secrets...they know too much...
And to leave this post on a light note.
Why do Dark Angels use Plasma Weapons so much?
A. They are Emo and the Emperor forbade them from cutting themselves.

Nice Ideas over all. I will say that most chapters most likely have many, many serfs. How they get them, ie failed marine prospect or serf households with long histories can be debated.
However in the Space Wolf Novels you do get some idea of how many serfs they have and what jobs those serfs do have.
In the books you find out that the Chapter uses Serfs in their fleet. That these serfs where Barbarian sailors on the seas of fenris before becoming a Sailor in the space navy of the Space Wolves. These Serfs run the ship and most have a captain who is a Serf as well. However they are considered Bondsmen of the Wolf, and a part of the Chapter. A valued part of the chapter. The Bondsmen captain is master of the ship. However he listens to the requests and orders of the Senior Space Marine Present. Still he orders the ship, weighs in on plans and battle tactics etc. Hell he can even speak his mind to a Space Wolf without worry of lossing his head, most of the time. As the Bondsmen are still considered Warriors of Fenris.
Now I do not believe that space wolves have Bondsmen in other areas. Why? Well all failed prospects at becoming Iron priests are turned into Servitors. All failed Prospects of becoming a Space Wolf are either dead (died in training) or become a Wulfen. Their are mentions of cooks and other servers at the great feasts and such, so these could be tribes men and women who are trusted. I do not believe that they have bondsmen taking care of their weapons and armor as in the books each space wolf did that himself, also I doubt a Space Wolf takes baths regularly. (reason for this is a wolf is used to the smell and stench of its fellows and helps him tell the mood of that person or brother. Also soap would add in another scent which he would have to mentally filter out)
The Space Wolves are a chapter who reveal in their freedom. Be this the freedom they had as honorable warrriors of fenris or as space wolves. They also defend common citizens and soldiers from other aspects of imperial society so long as those people are loyal to the imperium. I of course am making a ref. towards the first war for Armegadon(sp?).
In this Adventure if the Space Wolf doesnt confront the Planetary lord about running away and hidding while the rest of his loyal serfs die, then he is not a true space wolf. They hate cowards and those who would abbandon their comrades in arms, even if they are just guardsmen.

Two months ago I had some friends over to play Arkham Horror. A group of people were walking noisily along the street by my apartment, so we all went outside and I yelled out "You failed your stealth check!" Being a geek is wonderful with moments like these.

Thats why you should do it in either England, or in the states. Tariffs maybe a little higher in some areas, but it could be worth the trouble of not having to greese some china mans hands.

Ok, enough with the arguing. No more relitivism, and no more discussion about this topic. All it does is bring people out to start to argue their side of arguments, and it turns into, 'He.She is wrong and god hates him/her for being that way.' To "Your all redneck bigots for believing the bible/old testiment/ blah blah.'
So in order to keep this from growing too far out of hand I am going to ask that mods close it.

I mean they probably rushed and did bindings on 200 copies for GenCon and rest was probably also printed but not cut and binded. That is probably being done as we speak or even is already done and now they have to ship (regular surface transports remember they have flown in copies for GenCon) books and then from their warehouses to brick and mortar stores and probably to online shops warehouses (I am not really sure about the last part). This can take time, I suppose.
On the other hand it seems to me that sometimes they seem afraid to talk straight to their customers (WFRP 3e and shipping dates for RT). I can not say that I blame them but you know there are guys and girls who are paid for that kind of stress.
FedEX is 3-7 business days for the cheap shipping.
Like I said above, I'm not going to chew them a new A-hole. I'd just like to know when I can reasonably expect it is all. They're past the point where they need to build up more hype.

Still It would be nice if they did record the stuff on RT for us, I could really care less about the new 3rd edition. Don't get me wrong its nice and all, but I am a little burned out of the whole medeval fantasy setting.

Hate to point this out to ya. But I don't think that the IG are gay. For several reasons: First being in the military before I know that no matter how long you are away from women,(if you lean towards women initially) You can take care of your urges yourself in private manner, trust me on this; Secondly In the gaunts ghosts novels you find out that they have a whole city of eives, children, and loved ones that follow them from warzone to warzone, not to mention the required ladies of the night.
But he was right in one reguard/ In Sparta the Spartains were Gay. They believed that you would fight harder for your lover then your friend. Not saying I agree with it, but there you have it.

Perhaps the reason is because they can not keep up with the demand of those that wish to sell it. But for CHRIST SAKES I spent alot of money on the Collectors Edition. I was expecting to get it at the end of this month because like most people, I am unable to go to Gencon. (Full time student, and workstudy, not a whole lot of time.) Also it being past the Misery River(Missorui(sp?) River, meant I couldn't go to it and still be able to afford going to my sisters wedding this weekend.
On that note I had it expressed Shipped Hoping that I would be able to read it on the trip over and at night with my head phones on, so I didn't have to listen to grandmother complain about how I am not married and why she doesn't have great grandkids yet. Keep telling her I can give her a few but she wont like it cause I wouldn't be married.
Anyway the short of it is I believe that those who have already bought the CE version should already have it shipped to them, ON THE DAY that they sold them at Gencon. Otherwise I would have waited till I saw it on the selves here at my LGS. WONT MAKE that mistake again.

Its ok, I would have if you didn't. But, as for roleplaying limitations for Space Marines. I believe that in this current setting, there is alot of limitations. However, I believe that in deathwatch the focus will shift from investigation and infiltration, to dealing with aliens, perhaps giving history and such for a space marine chapter to allow the players to roleplay different marines, from different chapters. How would an Ultramarine deal with getting the **** beat out of him by a spacewolf for remarking that the space wolf has not bathed in a week.

I have some questions about the way combat and magic work. From what I have read, it seems that they both take place with just one inititive round, if you can accumulate enough Zeon in the round, Just that magic projection replaces attack rating. Which is why I dont know if I like the system or not, some of the lower level abilities seem to take a few rounds to charge unless your level 3 or level 5, as by then your accumulation skills are high enough to use low level spells faster, same as Ki. Which begs the question, if you wish to make it go a little bit faster, as in lower level characters able to use their ki, magic, etc. powers faster, how would you do it without unbalancing the game?

I really loved the setting of Fading Suns. The system took some getting used to truth be told. However in the grand scheme of things to call it Disney's Version of 40k is a little off. Come on they have the symbiots that convert and mutate people in the most horrific ways, and they all seem to love it.
They have their inquisition and people cant even play board games or cad games, with one minor exception. Even movies are severely limited. And just like in 40k a psyker or cleric with too much Hubris can destory an entire world at the drop of the hat. Not this demonic incursion that happens in 40K.
As for the aliens, yes a lot of them are furries, but thats just because how many human like aliens can you have before they are more like sub-species of humanity?

You do have some really good ideas there Peacekeeper. I was just wondering what alternative you had in mind instead of the current Char- Gen. I think it could work, but then again you would have people who would try to take advantage of the new system.

My Girl Friend has a chainmail bikini. However she is getting it padded and lined. Personally I dont see what the big deal about them are.

I will be honest. I dont like cons all that much. Mostly because I do not like Crowds of people. ( we wont go into why, but lets just say its service connected)
Also Larps tend to weird me out more and more each year. Hell I dont even like going to SCA events with my Girlfriend cuz she makes me dress up.

Well Kage in the Space Wolf Army book, The newest one for 5th edition. IT states that on page 50. that Ulrick the Slayer is the oldest space wolf, barring Bjorn who is the oldest dreadnaught, (10000 years Plus in age is bjorn). He is older then Logan Grimnar, who saga streches back 700 years 500 of that being the Great Wolf.
So that is old. We know that one Blood angel is over 1000, cant remember who that is as I do not have their army book with me, because I play only the Wolves of Space.
