Why is the statement "attachments are discarded from play if the card they are attached to leaves play for any reason" from the rules not a passive effect? My point was, that it can be special passive game effect, not passive ability.

Your other option is completely foreign to the game's timing structure. And why do you think I wrote all this in the first place? Nevermind, you will never understand what I'm doing here, just forget that I ask this question, ok?

Forgive me, but this game is too complicated for me. So you say that "cannot be discarded from play while attached" is simply false at that moment, because the card is not considered attached?
BTW Moribund card has left play "but only for the purposes of triggering responses and passive abilities". Rulebook attachment definition is not passive ability. Should this be corrected?
You certainly don't say that moribund character with Aegon's Blade doesn't have STR +2 for purposes of triggering Free Cities Mercenaries, right?
You said yourself "only applies to checking play restrictions" - and "cannot be discarded" is constant effect not play restriction.

I'm curious: If we treat above as a passive effect and not as a game rule, then is Northern steel discarded in step 6 if attached character dies? Can I still use Davos to save Northern steel?

The fact that NO successful gaming company (that I know of) has ever gone 7+ years without some sort of rotation says something.
Decipher has with the SW: CCG. They had no rotation and you were able to play every card x60 in your deck. But they had teh power creep in the game and well they are history today.
And people still playing, virtual sets still coming and people are still buying cards to complete their collection. That says something.

In my eyes all changes done were completely not necessary.
Month ago you wrote at Polish forum, for example (translation):
"Is turn the same thing as phase?" (about Killer + Lead link combo)
"****, shield can stop forever burning?" (about Paper shield and canceling deathbound cards)
"I like this deck, maybe I change my Night's Watch for Martell" (about Greg's Gencon deck)
"Tell me why there is Edric Dayne in this deck? And moreover, 3 copies? His effect is mediocre. And Narrow escape - is this some defence against Valar Morghulis?" (about Greg's Gencon deck)
"Tell me how this combo works with Robert. He can stand only once." (about Brett's winning deck)
Also, you did create topic How to stop Maester dominance and you asked what to do with this sick combo.
And today you are experienced game expert? Wow. Impressive.

Speaking about fundamentalist - if we have now null value introduced(?) to the game, does it change anything about Neutral faction + Men with no king thing?

If I can use a a single army in my bolton deck ranging from one to two gold (of which there are nine) and hit it for zero cost with a Price of War or just a vanilla condemned by the council, or salladhor, or war horn, or frozen solid, or freezing rain, or climbing spikes, or theon, or any other location hate, like say tyrion's chain, then I am not at all worried about that cards ability to define an environment.
Price of war? Condemned? Yeah, right...

Both players will be assigned a warning because the state of game was not maintained.Did I understand correctly? If I forgot about Golden tooth mines (and opponent doesn't remind me) then I get a warning?! I would not play in such tournament then.

Is it balanced though - and tricky to pull off - also sure.I'm not so sure. It can be played in 3rd turn. There is nothing tricky. You just play it and that's it. Opponent has little or no chance to stop it. But you are probably right - I don't understand this game anymore. So you are saying that Burning on the sand was restricted not because this card is too good, but only because Martell are dominant?

only the active player may play cards from his handOf course you mean: only the active player may marshal cards. All players may play events.

it has plenty of limiting factors: 4-cost, must be knelt AND discardedAnd of course you did play against it with smart player, right? Except for rarely used Salladhor, you are defenceless against it. You can use Nightmares or Frozen Solid but it depends on who is first player. So I'm not sure what you mean "knelt AND discarded". Effectively, for 4 gold you have a card "Win at least 3 challenges this round. Your characters cannot be killed. Cannot be canceled." And then you use Regroup obviously. That's significant power shift for 4 gold, I think.

I think what happens is that a good deckbuilder creates a fantastic deck archetype, which is then copied (net-decked).And is this really a problem? Skill to play is required, right? Doesn't combo environment actually creates more netdecking?
BTW: I would like to (at least) restrict Rhaenys's Hill.

since the 'Blood of the Dragon' only applies while Daenerys is participating in a challenge, she still has to kneel first in order to become a participant in the challenge, before she has the dragon trait.
Correct.

Personally I will never understand how maesters can have more STR than the strongest army in this game. That's incredibly stupid, just like Taste for blood x3. Corrupt Contender +10 STR? Maybe in next set we should have characters with +100 STR to deal with one maester? Maester should have useful abilities, not STR.

You use a player action to initiate a single bay of ice.
Of course it's passive effect, not a player action.

What's the difference between "copy an effect" and "resolve an effect"? (e.g. After Archmaester Marwyn is killed, resolve the "when revealed" effect of any plot card in any player's used pile.)
-
Page 4: It looks like Maester's Path was the most popular in melee, not the KotHH.

I'm assuming 1 but have had people argue 2 and 3 with me...
If they still argue, just show them Shadow rules (available to download at support page):
"This happens before any other “beginning of the phase” effects occur."
Also, you really should look at phase flowcharts in FAQ.

Awesome report thorondor! I love when deck comes with description (why those plots, the plan).

People should start OOH Reek in martell, make sure you win that intrigue challenge and take control of robert. Then Ghaston Grey your (other) noble to get Reek back. Think about it.
House Stark only.

Either you trigger fiefdoms' marshalling effect (you don't pay influence then) or you pay/kneel influence (you don't trigger fiefdoms' marshalling effect). Moreover it seems like you want to play two actions at once (playing Companions and triggering fiefdoms) - you must trigger fiefdoms before you play Companions or left it standing for their effect.
