@Rogue Cypher: It was devil's advocate question. Effect says "during" not "until the end". If at the end of the phase is not "during phase", then Forgotten plans should wear off and then activate again at the beginning of the next phase, right? Or does it work differently, because it is a constant effect? Let's say we have plot that says "at the end of taxation phase..." - does Forgotten plans stop such plot?

remember that "until the end of the phase" lasting effects wear off before "at the end of the phase" passive effects activate.Ok, but is that mean Forgotten Plans does not stop Valar D?

Did you come up with some really tricky combo for LoF?No. This was simple question just to be sure (since I can't read english) if (3.23) "Card Type Changes to Character" applies here. If yes, then Valar Dohaeris should work, right? "At the end" it's still "during" I guess.

Which cards are you looking at? I can think of some slight differences, depending on context, phase, etc.Litany of fire
Challenges: During the next dominance phase, treat all locations as if they were characters with STR 3 and no icons.

"treat all locations as if they were characters" - is this the same as 'count as characters'?

If an Attacker has a printed Maester character with several chains participating in a challenge, and I use Frozen Moat to blank him. All of that Maester's chain attachments would be immediately discarded?
Yep. (unless you have Apprentice Collar of course)

Then maybe the next poll should be about which House is the weakest.
Yes, that would be interesting, although I wouldn't count on consensus in that matter.

Maybe the problem isn't that the downside for this agenda is too small...but rather that there aren't enough other agendas that can compete? No, the problem is power creep. Maester's Path is like having up to 12 agendas. Because of this, the power creep after this set is so ridiculous, that I have doubts - should I teach new players? Besides, playing against this agenda is really tiresome.
-
Why not just ban this retarded agenda, which should have never been designed and should have never gone through testing (if any)?

The question was "Which house/build is the most powerful these days?", so you cannot make any deduction which house/build is second, third etc. Lanni at #6 does not mean they are the weakest build in voters opinion.
whats the best Lannister build right now?
Are you suggesting something?

Well with Stahleck tourney coming soon and me and WWDrakey doing some playtesting with different deck ideas I'm not giving full decklists now, sorry.

But I can say that the search decks we have tried for now have used combinations of Widow's watch/to be a wolf and/or wolf dreams with learned characters and Rickon Stark and deck full of effective stark characters with dupes.
Interesting...sounds like an opportunity for a good Targ deck to have a bit of fun

Yeah. Dupes don't help against Lanni kneel either. Anyway, good luck at Stahleck!

Great idea with that poll. Why don't we have more polls?

I would go with Stark as I have now played with and against of ridiculously stable stark search decksInteresting. Could you provide a decklist or a link to it?

Viewing the latest cards designed by designers I can only think that these cards break the game.
The non-Martell cards curious, useful and powerful in some decks. But Martell cards are powerful, unbalanced and auto-included in every deck. Any deck with The Red Viper, Venomous Blade or Ghaston Grey is better. I see no reason to continue with a dynamic that is bad for the game and call back the old system: designers can only design non-Martell cards.

Ok, so every native speaker player will tell me exactly the same, right?

The condition based on status ("participating") rather than characteristic ("with that trait").
But does it work differently? It also says "each".

I'm sure that at one time or another, I have mistakenly equated the "plot passive" in Threat with the "when revealed" effect of Valar and presented it as a possible conflict for the First Player to decide.Actually, you said that Threat as a constant happens before Valar.
What's important though, that I'm really glad that things are now much clearer (...unless something will change in this matter).

ktom said:
What's the example you have to show why it can't possibly be that way? It's not like that. I am just confused by your explanation of Threat vs Valar.
-
If it is passive, then after revealing Threat it should look like this:
1. Choose and reveal plots
2. Initiative is counted
3. High initiative player appoints “First Player”
4. "When revealed" plot effects resolve5. passives - discard by Threat
No?
-
So Threat from the north is passive and discard happens in step 4, right?
-
I was just curious why effect of Flame kissed is passive if verb is "gets" and "is killed" just like on Threat from the north. But if it's moot then there's no need to answer.
