I'm guessing you were wondering if this would be a tricky way to move a card from your opponent's dead pile to their discard pile.

Yes. I was overthinking maybe this card attaches at the same time or something. It won't hurt to ask. happy.gif

  2. Any Phase: Bring Jaqen H'ghar out of Shadows by paying the rest of his cost to choose 1 non-Army character in an opponent's dead pile that was killed this phase, and attach it to Jaqen H'ghar as a duplicate. Jaqen H'ghar gains the printed text, base STR, icons, traits and crests of that card. If that duplicate leaves play, return Jaqen H'ghar to Shadows.

Let's say that because of claim 2, two characters are in opponent's dead pile. I come out of Shadows with Jaqen and then I come out of Shadows with second copy of Jaqen. I'm not sure what happens now.

This sounds a little dumb now that I'm thinking about it, but I'll ask anyway.

I have the Lord Commander title and an opponent does a military challenge at me.  Can I let it go unopposed and then re-direct the against myself and defend it so I can win and steal a power from the attacker?

I would still bet in the two years of operations, they had more revenues than any five year period of aGoT...because it is Star Wars.

Unfortunately we cannot verify this, right? But you know, I think George doesn't sell SW licence cheap.

And then people realized they used dice in a CCG

I think the same will happen here. People will realize that's simply playing solitaire.

BTW I invented new LCG co-op game. You can play with 2 persons or 4, you can even play with 7! Here's how it works: you throw a dice. If it's 1,2 or 3 then you carry on (I call it "beating a scenario"). If it's 4+ then you lose.

I heard it was so popular, they had to change Star Wars to co-op 1/2 of the way through

Assuming it's true, obviously this decision has nothing to do with popularity of LotR? Obviously it sells so well, because of co-op format, and NOT because of property, right? IF that's true, then I don't understand this world any longer.

Remember, playtesting a ton doesn't make much money for FFG

What if game becomes irritating enough to be abandoned by players? I may be wrong, but I think selling AGOT is much money for FFG.

Making a new Star Wars LCG does

Well, we will see. Besides, is that mean that SW will not be tested properly too? It's SW after all! It will sell anyway, even with zero playtesting, right? demonio.gif

Ah, so you say that our playtesters really didn't try? demonio.gif

I can imagine that with the LCG release cycle and the tons and tons of cards that are in the environment right now that the limited amount of time that the playtesters have it's making it increasingly hard to test the new sets.  This is one place where a rotation schedule would benefit AGoT. But we all know that rotating sets out sucks so just disregard that statement. preocupado.gif

Tons? 1000+ cards? Come on. Besides, usually you just need to look at 1 new card and you know something is wrong. The truth is, FFG make poor designing and testing. It's FFG fault, not our playtesters. I'm sure playtesters, just like other players find the best cards/combos quickly, if not immediately. Look at the top of this page - "Leading publisher of board, card, and roleplaying games" - yeah, right. And they don't have money to test properly? They don't have enough people to avoid mistakes, poor wordings (see new Tyrion), and rules confusion or lack of rules? (How many years must I wait to be sure that I can play an action before a challenge during epic phase? BTW If I don't know, then playtesters probably also don't know, and if playtesters don't know the rules, then how can they test anything properly?) But hey, they have money and people to make SW LCG and LotR LCG. Isn't that great? I really hope that Lanni box will be the last. Seems to me that all evil happened when they started to work on deluxe expansions (and Nate on other LCGs) - no wonder that "limited time" is a problem. People compare Magic to AGOT, but the main difference is that Wizards care about their leading game, and AGOT is just one of many FFG games.

I've been reading the rules and FAQ to try and establish exactly what a triggered effect is.

    (3.6) Triggered Effects
Any effect that a player chooses to execute is
considered a "triggered effect." Thus any effect
that begins with a "Phase:" or "Response:"
is a triggered effect. Also note that playing
an event card is thus considered a triggered
    effect.

Our assumption is that the event cards would not be valid but valar would be. Are we correct in this?

    Yes.

So could I choose Stannis to settle the claim but then still save him?

    Yes.

    pianoplayer3991 said:

Does that mean that once the card is on the table that it cannot NEVER be killed or discarded by any means?

No. Compare him to Beric. But you are right, that you cannot even try to discard Knight of the Rainwood or kill/discard Beric. This is important for example when you have noble characters and there is currently revealed plot The Power of Blood. Then, you must choose for military claim some other, non-noble character.
