24 points for a ship that can only hand out actions if it shoots vs 21 points for squad leader craken for that same thing with fewer limitations. Granted you may actually use the missile at some point, but cluster missiles are pretty bad unassistedWith Munitions Failsafe as well, those Cluster Missiles might hand out 2 free actions every turn.

You could probably rig some kind of exactl length setup. Pegs you attach that create range 1 2 and 3 lines when held at that height.Laser levels make in arc vs out super easy to figue out
I just wished there was a way to determine range without risking nudging the models.
True, but that sounds like it wouldn't be as clear cut as determining in arc. "well it could be a bit to low/high" "did you nudge the pegs" etc

I wonder why they did that. None of the modifications are very powerful on huge ships.
Edit : Boost shouldn't work, so engine upgrade would be dumb.

I really doubt we'll see another Cr-90 released. You can only use 1 at a time. And none of the titles say Rebel Only so an Imperial Variant where the Empire can fly Dodonna's pride seems unlikely.so now that the CR-90s are out how long before somebody makes a Sunderd heart version??? or perhaps FFG will as a BIG ship "Rebel aces" Hint Hint HINT!!!
I am glad you pointed this out, I was worried they might actually make an imp CR-90, how boring would that be?

Did anyone figure out the average damage for using crew han? I know the average damage for a single die is 87.5, but additional dice should reduce that a bit. A single die is simply: is it a bank? Reroll, for a 50% chance of making it a hit. But with more dice, its more complex. If you have 2 focus and a blank, you should focus the roll. But with 2 blanks and a focus, you should reroll eveything. I have no idea how to figue out exactly how many average hits a 3 or more attack die roll will have.

No ept? ****, there goes a few lists.

I think the free action may trigger before the next line of ptl's text. Regardless, you could always focus first then ptl off the free action from that.

The objective is still deathmatch; it feels like deathmatch only larger and longer (which is fine by me). Hell, there are a few list types that rarely see a game fit within the time limit anyway, but that wouldn't make it anything other than a deathmatch objective. You may play epic as scenarios in friendly games, but that doesn't mean everyone does.
The player base is split for going into epic anyway, and I'm pretty sure most who are that into the game are fine with EU ships.
-
But epic play is still a deathmatch. I could see some towers and such for cinematic play, but making epic into a senario style game kills the point of the distinction.
Whats wrong with similarbut different? Works great for all the small and large ships.I've said this before, but I'll say it again:
I don't think the Empire will get any huge ships. At least, not like the rebels just have. I think the Empire will bring a different type of Epic play into the mix. Maybe a Trench Run set that comes with laser towers and the like. I think FFG can do better than "here's the Imperial version of the product we just released. It plays the same... but different."
Because the Huge ships are not designed to be played in standard death-match games. Because regular and large ships are, FFG needs to keep things balanced. The two Huge ships are designed for Epic play. There is no ship the size of these two in the original Star Wars movies that play a memorable role in the movies.
That being said, the Empire does have "Epic" things that could be introduced to the X-wing game with a little bit of creativity. I think FFG would better serve the game if they continue to provide DIFFERENT Cinematic and Epic elements for the game.

Even if both the E-wing and Z-95 perform Koiogran turns, the Blackmoon will get its stress cleared by Wingman and can then perform an action, plus another granted by Cracken in the combat phase.I think this is a mistake, though. Wingman clears stress after the "Perform Action" step, so the E-wing would still only get one action.
I think so, too. The author got wingman wrong.
No, it makes perfect sense . . . The Ewing can PTL and then take 2 actions. Then when the activation phase ends he clears stress from Craken. Then in combat phase from Cracken.
-
You can ptl off of Cracken's free action.Even if both the E-wing and Z-95 perform Koiogran turns, the Blackmoon will get its stress cleared by Wingman and can then perform an action, plus another granted by Cracken in the combat phase.

Aminar and Morgan Reid reacted to this -
More pilots for every ship would be nice, but if they make 20 something xwing pilots and limit all the other ships it would be aweful.

Like actions, invalid attacks are never made, and so cannot be wastedRulebook says yes, tournament rules say no. Tournament rules say you must declare target before you measure.
So you say in a tournament... when my enemy seems to be in range 3 i declare him as target and he is by 1mm out of 3 i dont have an attack since my eyesight betrayed me by 1mm?
-
Daredevil and push the limit is going to be insane on Tycho. 225 degree turn in one activation? Hell yes!
-
I wonder if the transport could take the target cordinator . . .
-
Only in epic play
Danget, now the rebels have a colonel Jendon too!I find myself intrigued by targeting coordinator + sensor team to pass off TLs to friendly ships early in the game. Possibly with FCS to keep one yourself.
I'm also surprised no one has been talking about raymus Antilles. intelligence agent and almost ensure the ship of your choice gets a stress. Talk about action denial.

Tantive Title + Sensor team + Gunnery Team + Han Solo + Weapons Engineer
One of thus range 5 shots will do some serious damage. -
I really hate when people call something power creep with no reference to cost. Neither of these two new abilities are all that great for their cost. Han seems perfect as mini TL+F attacks at 2 points, while Leia seems kind of overcosted outside of epic games. Yes, the rebels have more unique cards. But the rebels were the main characters, and people expect cards for all the main characters. As long as all the cards are costed properly, it doesn't make the rebels more powerful, it just gives them more options.
-
Han's crew ability doesn't seem consistent with his pilot ability. Not that it has to, but his "gambler" persona comes across in his pilot card. I would have expected something similar rather than an almost guaranteed result.
He turns the gamble into a sure thing, sounds like Han to me.

EWing dial
in X-Wing
Which kinda sucks, but Roark + swarm tactics makes EPTs on generic Rebels seems a little to strong. I'm sure there are other combos that would make it too powerful to give the Rebels a bunch of cheap EPT slots on ships with good guns. R2 D6 seems like the best solution as it lets more ships get EPTs without having multiple cheap EPT Rebels.

I don't understand why people put so much effort into finial round lists, and only make one. If you're in second for the finial round, your opponent picks which faction you get, so you could very well get one you didn't plan for. Also, if you're in that match you've already won 2nd pick, you've already won a hell of a prize. I know some people have a strong preference, but out of 4 ships you only really want 1?
