  1. I noticed something that may be specific or include all armor histories? basic book MVII armor with the generic 'thine arm be the scourge of the impure' adds +5 to WS, -5 to BS. Neither of those adjustments came out in the character.
  2. I know the one I play face to face here in town does not. None of the folks I play with like those alternate stats. I know the game I will run online will use the base Deathwatch stats. So how many folks actually like the alternate rules, and can you tell me why? Not starting anything, I'm just curious as to other's opinions on how they work out with the base rules, especially considering the monster stat lines that use the base rules are not changed other than the Nids (eg the Mark of the Xenos book is not yet included)

If you haven't sent me a sheet yet and still want to play please try to send me something by tomorrow; a full character, an idea with stats, something. The fairest thing I can do is first come first serve. I expect their will be some adjustment after/during the first game and will still take characters as alternates after I have reached 6 people. I will also welcome the possibility of those alternates running npcs/xenos during fights if they are up to it and are familiar enough with the rules to do so. First session will be this Thursday between 6 and 7 pm EDT (currently GMT-4). The session will take place in OpenRPG on the Mayhem server. The room will be named Deathwatch Thursday Game. This should allow for any misunderstandings on start times and getting the room up and running, etc. Combat can be quick so come prepared, we will probably have the standard meet and greet, but we will equip and start a mission day one. Please, I can not stress this enough; if you're not all familiar with the rules, please try to read and understand as much as you can before we start. This includes from the living errata on the Fantasy Flight Forums. I will also suggest looking for the character sheet generator on those forums, they have all the standard chapters and will soon include a way to input custom chapters traits from RoB. From the looks of things, it appears most of the current players should know how to play just fine. Like Nalereen said, there is currently 14 hours between our time zones.
  4. Does your last post mean your custom chapter changing IN the character generator is open? I can't see it in the last update, have you had a chance to put it up on your site? I got the custom chapter spreadsheet
  5. Ok, I've had one sheet submittal and a good number of I'm interested in the other forums. IF anyone here is interested; The game will be Thursdays starting 6 or 7pm EST (GMT-5) I have one Techmarine, Black Templar ready to go.
  6. If you ever get a chance for user input on chapter specifics that would be great for those (like me) that use Rites of Battle to roll up our own chapters. Thanks for the tool; it's pretty cool.

What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Chapters come from the core book or are rolled up in Rites of Battle, anything rolled must be done so in front of me. 9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points? All Marines start with 30 stats, you are to divy out 100 points between the stats (in whole 5 multiplyers) no more than +20 points to a single stat. You then add chapter modifiers, EG all stats will be minimum 30 or max 50 before chapter modifiers. This method is detailed in the book. 10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so? Not applicable we all work for the good of the Emporer. 11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it? Advanced career ranks As per book, yes you can be a Dreadnaught, etc when you qualify 12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? everyone open rolls including me. 13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? no, except XP will probably be more than normal. 14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular? not necessary but will help me, If you generate your own chapter /armor you must do so when I'm watching the rolls. Players do not need to know the universe just how to play the game is preferred though. 15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above? Deathwatch is a combat oriented game, however there WILL be role playing and such. Marines are the epitome of proper high class in 40k. The 40k universe is still a dark and foreboding place though; mysteries are still everywhere. 16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements?Core Deathwatch rulebook, Rites of Battle are the only player books needed or allowed. If on a case by case basis other 40k rpg books are allowed you must ask me first and anything you don't start with you will have to earn in game (as far as access to cybernetics/gear from other books) I do know that fantasy flight is selling it's RPG books online. I have hardcopies of every 40k book released and do not know where to find 'alternative pdfs' nor do I support their use. I believe FF published their material for a fair price and I always pay for my books. I have multiple copies of most Deathwatch books, but since you can't borrow them in an online game, just please try to understand how to play the game before we start. I will help to the best of my ability but it all goes quicker if you know what you're going to do before your turn comes up. As far as times, I am open to possibilities. I am currently not able to work due to a leg break and am at home mostly. I live and work on the GMT-5 (Eastern US) time zone. I currently have Saturday/Monday and every other Sunday ( June 5th, June 19th, July 3rd...) ending before 5pm open. I have F2F games at 6pm those days. Also unavailable for me is Tuesday after 6pm EST or Wednesday after 3:30 pm EST My Best Days to play are Thursday (any time) or Friday (after 6pm, every other week is open all day June 3rd, 17th :July 1st etc=open any time Friday) If we can somehow squeeze sessions in-between those time frames even shorter sessions multiple times/week I will be ok with running the game.

  11. yes, I know. My guess is base stats will be 30s and then adding the 2d10. Or some combination thereof.
