  1. I am really liking all of these ideas! These are getting me excited and now im wondering if I can make this story much more interesting and flaverful. I am now thinking of the idea of this entire outpost, about 200-500 population size is built on top of an ancient Khorne worship cite, and the preist of the church, and small "governer"of the outpost finds out about this information through some ancient scriptures he has access to through the church. The preist becomes hypnotized and obsessed with the idea of obtaining the Khorne artifacts underneath his small community. The priest statrts construction on his church and his town to cover up the excovation of the ground beneath to find the artifact. The Khorne cultist from the city get message from a prophet that an ancient sacred ground is being tampered with and that is why they start attacks on the outpost and they now too become interested in this artifact. The priest hires the acolytes to protect the town from the attacks so he can continue his corrupted searchings in peace. All during this time the preist is becoming more crazed and obsessed with this artifact as he gets closer and closer, and the khorne cultist get more active and there attacks, so now the acolytes are caught in a true conspiracy and have a lot to uncoverWhat What do you guys think of this idea, and maybe some ideas for what this artifact might be and why it is so appealing to the preist.
  2. Thank you gys for the help, it is much appreciated and I will use proabably all of these ideas. I did have a question that I didnt feel however needed a new thread. How do the other GMs keep organized a new story, two years ago when I came up with my storys I would feel the need to write it all down, in this little notbook I had. I would right down what I would say, every test that become possible to the acolytes, besides combat I basicaly wrote everything down that I had planned to happen. It became I hassle because of the spliiting of the sotry sometimes, for example, I would right down two outcomes for an encounter, and then two more for both of those, and three more for each one of those, it became impossible to keep organized. I feel faily confident now that I could almost just memorize this story and only have to access to NPC stats to run it. I wanted to know how other GMs organize there short adventures or long campaigns.
  3. My group and I are going to start up playing Dark Heresy again after about 2 years and I have develpoed a small adventure for my acolytes to dip there feet back into the world of 40k. Were also starting out fresh with new characters and everything. The story that I have developed, so far, is that the acolytes have been asked by there inquisitor to do a favor for an old freind of his in a small town in the outskirts of a larger city on a hive world. The acolyes are freshly trained and this is there first mission under there first inquisitor. The inquisitors old friend is now the priest of a church in this small town that has been recently getting marked with the sign of khorne, in what appears to be blood. This is what the acolytes know and must investigate. What I had in mind was that a cult of khorne followers from the main city had come to this church to harrass it and its members, also while trying to introduce some bloodwurms into the food supply of the locals. Ultimately the acolytes will discover what his happeing, kill a few heretics and track the khorne cultists to the sewers of the main city where they raise these bloodworms in the filth of the sewers. As for what happens inbetween, encounters and discoveries I dont know how to add flavurful encounters that lead the acolytes to advance in the story. I need help adding encounters and clues for the acolytes to grab onto and advance through this idea of a story I have.
  4. When the old world cards with the twin tailed comet icon resolve in the end phase, I know at least one of them propmts for the event token to be moved whereever there is the most corruption tokens, where would these even tokens be placed in the event of a tie between most corruption tokens, at first I thought that the region that came first in the region order would get the token, but then my frineds thought that the player with the lowest threat should choose where to place the token. I could not find this instance described in the rulebook and thought I could find an answer here. Thank you
  5. I purchased this game a while ago and I want to start playing it now, I opened my box and remembered that I had opened it a while ago and probably misplaced a bunch of stuff. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I am missing anything. So the box as it sits, contains The Rulebook Four half sheets for each power A small bag off plastic rivets Two stacks of cards, one small, one big Dice And two sealed large plastic bags with cardboard fold ups in them Oh and I know I have completely lost the minis
  6. Right now my players are in a forest tracking down some giant rat people, I got the idea from skaven. As of right now I have only presented the rat people as a combat encounter. Does any one have any other ideas on how I could let them learn more about them or let them see them without them being attacked? Also they have been tracking them for quite sometime and I was also wondering if anybody knew of any other forest creatures they could get attacked by and lead them off on a mini adventure to keep them exited and moving? Sorry for all the re posts, when I hit publish it was taking a while so I double clicked it again, sorry.

  9. Is there a limit to how many cards can be played in each zone?
  10. I have an adventure idea right now that is in the process of becoming a campaign. The basic of it is that the acolytes get into something much bigger than what they could possibly imagine and get kidnapped by a Deamon inquisitor and they have to collect deadly psychers to power the inquisitors psychic canon or weapon of some sort. Sounds kind of comic booky, but I think I can narrate to sound a little more serious. Any way I could just use some ideas and maybe some places and names for psychers to capture, each pyscher could be a little adventure of its own.
  11. How do all of the other GMs organize all the pieces and cards for this game? I have been searching for a storage unit for all the parts but have had no luck at all, I want a small plastic box with numerous drawers and a lid. The only I can find are used to store big things. Nothing for little bits. I did finally find something I wanted in a video but have no idea what its called or where to get it. I will link it below, and it would be very very helpful if someone could tell me what it is or where I can get one. I am major OCD and need to get my games organized fast. Well my copy and paste just broke so I will try to type out the whole address. If that doesn't work then the name of the youtube video is: Rpg advice warhammer 3rd Edition 'whats in my box'
  12. I don't know how long you have been waiting for them to become available again, but I was just looking at these today and I am getting irritated by them being out of stock. I really don't know how long they will be out of stock. But it can't be long........right?
  13. Does any one use card sleeves for their cards for warhammer fantasy roleplay? If so, what sizes do I need for the two sizes of cards included, the regular size and the tiny size?
  14. Why do players receive a yellow die each time they train in a skill but only a white when they specialize in it? I feel as a GM, that they should be swapped, and players should receive yellow die for specializations, well because, the yellow die is special and has rare outcomes. When training a skill a player should get better and receive small bonuses, like the white, they shouldn't get the special rare yellow die for just being trained. Do any other game masters feel this way?
  15. On the catlike reflexes tactics talent card, it says to exhaust the card to add two fortune dice to agility test or add two misfortune to a dodge. Why would any on want that?
