  1. It reads to me like you are dictating your game. You seem hold a mindset that if you don't have everything you can't play. That won't be sustainable. Like I have said elsewhere, the game is very well balanced. Asteroid placement, ship placement and flying are as important, or more important, than what cards you have. If you are done, ok. Don't act like it is the fault of the game or the rest of us playing though. You are choosing not to play. I didn't say it was. In fact I gave the reasons on the first page. Perhaps you should have read them more clearly. I even said theat the game is good.
  2. because the demand for product is huge. Many people want at least 3x everything.
  3. The problem isn't that some people want more ships. THe problem is that these people are, inadvertently, dictating my game experience. I could choose not to buy S/V but if I do (and if i Don't i don't get the new cards) I would have had to preorder months ago and queue up with all the people who insist on having 3x everything within. The whole lot is also too expensive for me really. So I'm looking to get out of the game if the price is right (it won't be I doubt).
  4. By the way, do people feel that tournaments should be as cheap as possible to attract more players, or should have a price so that there's a prize pot - irrespective of whether there's official prize support? What's the most you'd pay to play if anything?
  5. Shield Upgrade, Engine Upgrade and Veteran Instincts. 4 Falcons gives you 8 Engine Upgrades. Do you need 8? I dunno.
  6. Different boat? They aren't life size!
  7. The reason that's not happening is Armada.
  8. I agree it's a supply issue - if they sell more than are produced, and in a short time frame, then the reality is that the shop will need to order more, the suppliers will need to order more and in turn FFG will need to order more. It seems to me that there's nothing wrong with people buying multiples; it's not in their power to know the stock levels or the demand levels of a given ship. I did get the impression that people were suggesting that it was the people buying multiple's fault, so I'm sorry if I misinterpreted what people were saying. I'm not criticising the shop, they are great. They can only stock what they are allocated. Believe me, they want more because they can sell more! The demand is there and they are up for supplying it. They just can't.
  9. I have to wonder why you'd ever need 4 Falcons. It does seem rather...self indulgent
  10. TBH I'm more interested in getting out of the game at this point. The falcon thing isn't an issue in the sense I want stock that's not available, it's that it highlights the way the game is going. The gameplay is, more or less fine (apart from Engine Upgrade being in every list I've ever played against ever), but I can't keep up with it. Plus the cliquely local community who, despite being very enthusiastic about the game (which is great) never actually being available to play when I can play. So for me it's not really working out and I don't think I can justify preordering £100 worth of stuff every couple of months just to keep up. I know S/V isn't compulsory, etc, but then why bother playing at all?
  11. Now now, I haven't used the word blame, nor have I offered any insults
  12. New stock came and went; that's what I'm talking about! Five ships were all the shop was allocated! Pricless!
  13. That's not the only thing it's full of
  14. They clearly aren't reprinting enough, which isn't surprising as Armada is probably the priority right now. BTW the guy wasn't a friend per se (not an enemy either), jsut a person in the local community. I've found them a bit cliquey, but don't take that as an insult. I'm not here to slag people off.
  15. Yeah, it's some of th follow up posts that seem a bit critical/judgemental. If you want to buy 3 Falcons that's your call. It's your money after all. But as has been said, it's not 100% compatible with a community when people have to queue up with the local clique who are desperate to have their third Falcon. Ok, it's your choice, but...three? really? Oh well! I'm not venting either. I just find the whole situation rather insane, but tbh it's not helping my interest in the game. Shame there's not a For Sale forum
  16. Honestly, Im not bothered anymore. I can't really justify further expense in this game either because if I do it will be insane expense. It's either all in or all out it seems to me, certainly locally. I appreciate the offer, but it's not for me. It's funny, in a sad way, ther was a a guy in the local community who had a Falcon for sale a month ago and someone mentioned I was interested. He didn't know what he watned for it (ie, he would just come out and say) so I offered him £25 which is the most I'd be prepared to pay even if I was interested, I'm not into collectables. He was righteously offended but only then did he say he watned £35. I told him to fly casual. Honestly, people can buy what they want and sell their stuff for whatever they want, that's entirely fine. But don't pretend you're a 'fly casual' community when you're out to stiff one of your own for as much as you can get. That's not for me. YMMV
  17. Hey dude they've got their Falcons in stock-just checked (although they are down to two left so you'll have to hurry) Thanks but like I said, i'm not really that fussed anymore. I also checked the site out of curiosity and it's listed as OOS anyway, not surprisingly.
  18. Totally agree. And I'm more interested in the cards than the actual ship. Ridiculous really. Between this and the TIE advanced nonsense i find myself non plussed at the game - along with the imminent cost of Scum which will be astronomical - and will also be out of stock given, again, the preordering insanity. When they announced the Falcon restock on FB last week the queue of people was already around the block, so to speak, before I even saw the announcement! Life's too short
  19. I don't really care anymore. I did want a Falcon, but all this sort of nonsense puts me off the game frankly. People desperate to own 3 Falcons? Not for me.
  20. So the Falcon got restocked today. Five copies to go around all the players who insist on having 3x everything and screw the community! Priceless!
  21. What, I'd anything, will this book contain that's also in Stay on Target?
  22. How much the tournament support kits cost? (The ones with the alternate art cards and dice bags, etc)
  23. Again: I do not want to have to buy the Raider to acquire vital cards to make my TIE advanced viable. I'm not sure how many more times I can continue to repeat this. If you want to argue the toss then you'll be arguing with yourself.
  24. What do you mean by Pilot Skill tax? What fix are you referring to that almost broke the game after wave 1?
  25. It's my understanding 2 are in each pack. I am fine with that. That's a fair amount. No expansion can contain everything in amounts to satisfy everyone.
